Nanu sighed. She was going to lie alittle. "Um you two..Priest......Akhenaden was looking for you two....he dident seem happy....." she said "I'll watch for you." Nanu had named off a random priest in hopes to make them leave

Mahado watched for a moment as Nanu hurried off, then went towards the pharaoh's chambers. Nanu hadn't told him where Atem was, but if it was anywhere, it was probably here. He hesitated at the door, then knocked. "Pharaoh? It's Mahado. May I come in?" There was a silence, long and uncomfortable. Mahado thought that perhaps he was wrong about where Atem was, and turned to leave. Finally Atem spoke. "Why do you want to come in, Mahado?" Mahado was rather taken aback at this question. Generally the priests didn't need to tell why they wanted to talk to Atem; Mahado especially. He stammered for an answer. "Well... ah... um... I just, er, wanted to make sure you were, you know, ready for the festival and all. Can I come in?" Another strained silence; Mahado was starting to wonder if Nanu was right. Was their pharaoh possessed by demons? Then, finally, an answer. "Fine." It was one word, but it was enough. Mahado entered to find Atem sitting on the bed, his hands folded and resting on his lap. He looked up dully at his priest. "Good evening."

The guards looked at each other, then one shrugged. "Where?" He asked, but the other didn't bother waiting for an answer. If a priest was mad, it would be easy enough to find the source. He grabbed a hold of his partner and dragged him along, down the hallway and soon out of sight.

Nanu hurried into the room once they had left "Seto?" she said softly looking around.

Seto had just woken up from his medicine-induced sleep; however, he still seemed out of it. Not like Atem was, but in his own way. He was sitting up, looking sleepy, and looked up at Nanu when she entered. "Agh... what?" He muttered, rubbing at his eyes. He was having trouble speaking still, but at least he could speak.

"Oh..I just wanted to see how you were doing.." nanu said looking around. "Mahado wanted to know if you were doing anything with your Millennium Item." Nanu dident know much about the Millennium Item's but she knew each priest and the pharoh had one "Atem's acting really odd..."

Seto scowled. The pharaoh was acting odd, so Mahado wanted to know if he was doing anything with his Millennium Rod? "That b*****d..." Seto grumbled, checking the sash around his waist, where he normally kept his Millennium Rod. "Tell him that I... I..." He froze, when he realized it wasn't there. He looked around his room, his eyes widening slightly. Where was it? Where did it go? He briefly remembered pulling it out to cut Ayira down, and... <********> He yelled in frustration, getting to his feet. He wobbled slightly, feeling unsteady. "That son of a b***h. That stupid sonofabitch!" Seto was certainly more awake now.

"Bakura... or that blonde guy... took my Millennium Rod! They must have!" Seto growled, his speech a bit worse after his outburst. "I cut Ayira down after the blonde pushed her, and I must have dropped it on my way down... Now it's not here... <********> He let out another string of impressive curses.

[I had a post finishing up the Atem/Mahado thing, but Gaia had some sort of database error. It's lost, and hell if I'm rewriting it.]
Mahado felt rather chilled. Atem had just dismissed him after a very, very brief conversation. Nanu was right; something was definitely wrong. But who would bring it up with the pharaoh himself, who was probably being controlled by some third party? He would be better off finding the person who was controlling the pharaoh and stopping them. Which meant Seto. He headed down towards the priest's room, wondering if Nanu was done yet.

Nanu had just exited bumping into mahado"Oh im sorry" she apologised before telling him "he dosent have it. seto dosent Millennium Item. Sombody took it." Nanu said.

"What? Ohh..." Mahado paused to let this sink in, then scowled. "How stupid of him. Well, I could try to stop the control with my item, or we could figure out who's using it. I don't really want to use my ring because I'm not even sure if that's what is wrong with the pharaoh." He muttered, twiddling with his Millennium Ring.

"There's no need to rush things. He hasn't done anything serious, except for sitting there and being creepy, as far as I can tell." Mahado said, sighing. "But... if we are going to do anything, I'll probably need Seto's help. The support of another priest will be nice, plus he's the one most familiar with the Millennium Rod." He paused, looking curiously at Nanu. He didn't even know if she understood Millennium Items. "The Millennium Rod has this side ability to... influence people, I assume. Mind control, pretty much. That's what I suspect is going on with Atem."
