Fate grinned. Ah, so he noticed.
Sighing, she shook her head. "Silver, they were Mortis' crows. I have a bat, and he has crows. You..you just have a quizzical state of mind."

As Mortis began to speak, Fate turned her back to Silver to focus on him. "Mortis, love, I'm not upset. A little shaken, but that is all." She examined the one whom she once knew. She'd met him on his first night at the Coven. She remembered it all too well; the rooftop. "I know. You have changed, and it's quite apparent. As for the manners..well.." She grinned, a glint in her eye. "Naive indeed. I just didn't understand how in great need I was of that protection, at the time. The whole Coven.." She choked. "..The whole Coven needs it.." Fate rubbed her left arm with her right palm. "..I'm against it too. Against everything our races stand for. It's dispicable how we cannot get along. Look at all the couples that have chosen to openly persue their relationships thanks to Silver and I.." Fate couldn't help, yet again, but feel the demon's pain. She pittied him. "Mortis, it's alright. What's in the past is passed." She placed her hand upon his shoulder, only slightly turned by the tears. "And, as it appears," Fate spoke, gazing upon the child, "you've taken on an even greater deal of responsibility."

She laughed quietly and kissed him softly. She put a hand lightly behind his head so he wouldn't move away. She put her other hand on his shoulder.

His eyes quickly glared at Zero. For a split second, his eyes flashed red as he looked back at Astarte. With one arm, he held her around the waist. He breathed slowly through his nose, trying to push Zero's presence out of his consciousness.

Y'know, I'd probably tear the guy by the window a new one.

"I'm in control, so don't think about it."

She pulled away and let go of Jack. "Don't hurt Zero." She said kindly. "He's a good man." She was really talking to JR, but was directing it to Jack. She turned to Takiko, caoughed up a bit of blood and walked to her. "That's a beautiful song!" She smiled warmly at her and hummed the song with her.

"ahh yes, so nawat and aly found their way to you fate...i'm glad."
he said. "i thank you for your forgiveness lady fate, i was killing myself over the thought of you angry with me....and i know what you mean about the interesting couples, my fiance is still a vampire, knowing that we may never return to the coven together pains me awfully.....also, i wish for the two of you to attend my wedding ceremonies" he said happily.
