∞Fifth Year∞Hufflepuff∞Chaser∞Single∞ Dhyl looked on in awe as Rufus threw, waiting on pins and needles to see the score, when he heard loud cheering. Blue eyes went wide as he saw Shina holding the Snitch. He frowned, then bit his bottom lip. Blue eyes were wide, as usual, but this time, there was underlying emotion. He landed carefully, then stood tall. He walked first to his Captain, giving her a brief hug. "Good game, Heather. We'll win it all next year. I mean, Ravenclaw's loosing it's oldest Chaser and Captain, Slytherin was an easy win, and Gryffindor.... yea...." He gave a rather awkward nod, then headed over to Ariana. "You did fantastic, they just had the jump on us. We'll rock next season. You're too good!" He beamed at her, then looked around the Pitch. Other than Ada and Tobi, he really didn't talk to anyone. He ran his hand through his hair, only to have a huge gust of wind muss it up again. He blinked, then glanced around again. Rosemarie smiled at Shina and happily took the snitch. "Thank you." she said. She looked at the rest of the Ravenclaw team. "I would like to say a few things before we part for the year. Expect a notice to meet later on. You may find it enlightening." she said with a smile. She pocketed the winning Snitch and took her Firebolt II over her shoulder. Staring up at the stands the Chaser and Captain had never been more proud. Today she would leave a legacy, an admittedly brief one, but she would be remembered for something other than being her father's daughter.  ℐirst 𝒴ear ❶ ℳuggleborn ❶ ℛavenclaw ❶ 𝒞haser Alex made his way down from the castle, battered school cleansweep in hand. His stomach was in knots, and he felt more nauseous than he ever had before. Ecstatic as he'd been that he had made the team, he now wasn't so sure. Still, his first quidditch match could go well. He knew that if he obtained the Quaffle he should pass right away to one of the more experienced chasers. No sense in taking a shot when he lacked experience. The other two would be far more likely to get a shot past the hufflepuff keeper. Even so, he worried. He hadn't yet been struck by a bludger, and he liked it that way. He'd seen teammates get hurt during practice, and it wasn't something he'd been looking forward to.
The young chaser arrived at the pitch a bit early, as he liked to do, and began to stretch. He then mounted his broom and did a quick lap before drifting back down to the ground to await the arrival of his teammates and competition.

  ((OOC: outfit in picture))  Ariana trotted into the pitch, her broomstick slung over her shoulder. The first game of the year was always exciting. Hufflepuff was playing against Ravenclaw today which was the one team that beat them for the Quidditch cup last year. The redhead wore a smile on her face as she strutted in her new seeker shirt. It was worn to practice and tryouts, but the rest of the school didn't see it yet. They will today! she thought excitedly, almost letting out a shriek. The vice captain of the team seemed to be more excited about her clothing than the actual game, but wasn't she always more interested in clothing? Armour Class: +17

Ver walked onto the pitch quiet as ever. She had succeeded in keeping her spot on the team, which she was more than grateful for. Quidditch was one thing she wasn't willing to give up. She reached where the young chaser of the team was and offered him a small smile, before dropping her firebolt 2 at her feet as well as her bat. She quickly wove her fingers through her hair, intricately braiding it from one side of her head and then down over the opposite shoulder. She ended it with a bronze and blue ribbon to hold it in place.
With that finished she patted the kid's shoulder and hoisted her broom back to her shoulder. "I'll do my best to protect you from the bludgers, but I can't promise it'll work." She rolled her shoulders at the thought of the bludgers. She remembered the first time she got hit by one. It had hurt like hell and broken her bone, but it hadn't stopped her. She played through the pain and she loved Quidditch. Hell, she almost dropped to her death when practicing in her backyard with Darius, and she still played. Hopefully this kid was the same as her. Of course.... there was the fact that her drop of death had been the trigger to the start of her and Dare's relationship. That did give Quidditch a good memory.
