Trigramatic Ship's ears drooped. Then perked. His face was a perfect reflection of pensiveness. Finally he looked up at Blizz. "Does this Miles have a son?" "Actually, yes he does. One of the other reasons why Tails, in fact, was quick to tell off Miles, was because if he threw his life away like he was going to, he'd leave behind a wife and son." I said. "His son's name is Mikey; he's older than Tristen by 3 or 4 years." I said.

"I see." Ship's gaze fell into his tea. That was the nature of the man who taught Blizz, and this group's former leader. He knew these kinds of men. His own father was one of those men. He was right to his death. "It sounds like the two were in such a position that only Tails was able to assist. Or, he knew a way to succeed where everyone else was stymied. Or, perhaps, most of you were incapacitated at the time?"

Or, perhaps, most of you were incapacitated at the time?" "No, actually we were very well awake, and we were in the thick of things. You were right about one thing, it was a position where only Tails probably was the only one to assist. One innocent voice in a sudden argument of many." I said to him. "We were in a heated situation. Things look dire for all of us. And as far as Miles could figure, he was the only salvation. I called him out for foolishness for going into this headstrong so suddenly, and not even bothering to tell anyone about his intentions, let alone not even bothering to look for alternatives, Tristen didn't say all that much because he didn't grasp the true gravity of the situation, other than the fact that it was bad, Eve, an Eevee hybrid was trying to be pro-life for the most part, being the optimist to where everyone can benefit and no one would have to sacrifice themselves...Tails...had enough."

"How...old is Miles again?" Ship asked. In his homeland, such a question was an intrusion, but over here people seemed more than willing to talk about more intimate things. At one point, he was uncomfortable to the idea as a whole.

To Ship, this began to make even more sense. It might have been presumptuous, but he thought his own father might have been enough to go on. "It could be he's trying to expend himself to the point that he doesn't live much longer than his family," he said. His ears twitched. "Which would suggest that his wife is human."

"Your insight serves you well, it seems. Yes, his wife is in fact human. And, playing captain obvious here, Mikey is what he, himself, calls a 'half-hybrid'. Basically more plenty human traits than Pokemon, but still enough Pokemon to make it obvious that he's a hybrid." I said. Either way he would outlive his wife and son.

Ship nodded, then turned his attention back to his tea. He could understand that Miles was a trustworthy individual. The mentalities of ageless Pokemon and hybrids were nearly always binary. He felt confident in pegging Miles firmly as the kind that chooses to enjoy everything because that was how he defined living. Neither kind of ageless was ideal in a leadership position, but Miles' type was certainly easier. And it would help that he was relatively young.
"Do you think it's possible that Tails expended something in Miles' place?"

I said, getting up. "Let's just say that Tails isn't as much as the Pokemon he used to be." I said, on the way, getting me another Coke. After getting it, I dunked a straw right in and began sipping. I thought back to that day, shaking my head a bit. It still was fairly a touchy subject to me. But I told myself that I'd let it pass...move on...

Similarly, Ship was silent as he took it in. Sipped some more. He didn't know why Blizzard seemed so distraught. "For lack of a better term," he said, "Is this region so commonly filled with badasses?"

Trigramatic Similarly, Ship was silent as he took it in. Sipped some more. He didn't know why Blizzard seemed so distraught. "For lack of a better term," he said, "Is this region so commonly filled with badasses?" "One would think." I said. "Especially hanging around the likes of us." I said, sitting back down. "But really, just like any place, the regions around here are full of your every day people, trying to run every day lives, rather it be law enforcement, electrical maintenance, store clerks, or Pokemon trainers. I think it's the experiences that one could in fact face that makes them 'B.A.' Really, I wasn't always a part of this team, as you can guess. I wasn't always a hybrid, believe it or not. I was a human at one time. Apprenticing at the Mahogany Town Gym here in the Johto region." I said. "I was normal for the most part. Another person a part of the typical fold."

Trigramatic "I guess if you end up here, your days of being normal are officially over," Ship mused. "HA!" I couldn't help that outburst. "Heheheh, I'm sorry...couldn't help that one. Granted, yea, if someone ends up with us without really anything major happening before hand, then yea, normalcy is out the window. Thing of it though, my days of normalcy was gone LONG before being here. Long before meeting this team, let alone meeting Miles and Tails before him."

Ship sensed another story coming and so went to the tea pot, poured more water and added yet another tea bag. He sat down again and after awhile, sipped.
