Wind goes to track down where this is happening, with only his mage sight to guide him, he winds up finding Arrow... right by a huge wall of mageflame. He pointedly ignores the lack of dress on the scout, and goes up to him quietly (so as not to alert anyone on the inside), "Arrow. What's going on?"

That sounded so mundane, for an explanation of an adept level battle. Wind surveys what his mage sight is telling him, "The other adept is more powerful than Snowfox... but he doesn't seems to be able to use nodes. Actually, it looks like Snowfox's barely used energy so far. I wonder what he's planning..."

Winddance tries to use mindspeach again. As the cats had left, he found that he could manage to do it, if he concentrated a lot. He didn't want to distract Snowfox though, so all he did was a simple touch, to let the Kaleda'in know of his presence.

A moment later, a small hole opens in the wall. Wind gives ARrow what he hopes is a reaffirm smile, and then goes through the hole before it closes up again.

And it's a good thing they are. The two cats that had run from the battle had still headed the signal to attack the vale, and those reached there long before the rest of the darkmage's forces.


With Wind in the fray without the mage's knowledge, they manage to actually simply overpower him with a huge combined attack. Fox slumps down, a little singed, and with a cut on his arm, as the opponent hadn't stuck entirely to magical attacks. He does dispel the wall though, as winddance goes over to check on him.

"I'm fine." The adept replies, ignoring both the men offering aid. He stands up, a little shakily. He was still in his 'in charge' mode though, "We have to hurry back to the vale. He sent out some kind of signal I couldn't stop. There might be some kind of attack."

Flower has some inkling what Cy's doing, and uses magic to hold the beast still as he works on it. Meanwhile, the freed cat wanders back into the woods. it knows how the mage's men will be coming... it may not be able to fight of a group of other cats, but the men will go down easily.

SnowFox looks to Arrow, unfortunately still totally in boss mode, "Go do that. Take a round about way back to the vale. Wind and I need to go right now."

Flower frees its movements, and then it goes over and nuzzles Cy a bit, before heading back after the other free cat. if they can take out all the human attackers, the Tayledras can likely take out the remaining cats.

Fox goes over to Arrow before, even though he'd said they needed to leave immediately. He takes the Scout's wrist, and then kisses him deeply but quickly. He needed to reclaim those lips before he went, or else he wouldn't be able to concentrate.

Fox shrugs, "If you want to, but I expect these woods to be crawling with enemies, so it might be best you go back to the vale first. Besides, you're one of the scout leaders. They'll need people in leadership positions to keep everyone calm and organized."

he moves away from Arrow though, "And Wind and I do need to go."

Snowfox and wind go back towards the vale. They come upon a rather strange scene of two changecats attack some of the mage's troops, and decide not to interfere with that, skirting that area instead.

And to sum things up, at the end of the day the vale is safe. They suffered soem casualties of course, mostly among scouts, although one young mage who hadn't quite outgrown the belief that he was infallible got himself killed. Right near the end foxy almost toasted one of the freed cats when he saw it going towards Cy, before he noticed that the exfarmer didn't seem frightened in the least.

Fox winds up staying up all night,m and well into the dawn hours, organizing and dealing with things. Finally, around 10am he's done all he can, and everyone's telling him he looks like death and needs sleep, so he goes to find Arrow. He goes to their ekele first, as that's most likely where he is.
