In the back of her mind, Rogue wondered how many vampires the Founder held in his thrall. Kensington was a powerful psychic. But she, too, had powerful friends.
Distract. Now.
Rogue spoke the words into the connection she had with Veroen and Alexz.
At the same time, she moved with inhuman speed from her position, clinging to the edge of the wall behind where the Founder was standing. She moved in somewhat of a blur, and drew two guns full of UV bullets. She aimed with the expertise of a Deathdealer. With an almost synchronized pull, she released a reign of bullets.

In the meantime, Felicia had managed to slink off in the opposite direction of the drama. This was not the kind of interaction she'd been hoping for.

Then her mind flashed back to the lovely man she'd met at the bar. She slid her hand into the pocket of her dark wash jeans and fingered the tiny slip of paper. Flicking it back and forth with her nail, she considered it - calling him, that is.

Nah, she thought with a small grin. I'll wait. He could definitely provide some distraction when I'm a little less mentally exhausted.

Though she was still pumped from her hunt, it was obviously time to call it a night in this part of the city.

The Founder laughed at Alexz, 'You gave up your rights to lead this coven the second you consorted with beasts, the Nightwatch is here to stop your heresy. We acted out of necessity whilst you eroded everything that makes us pure. And you have the audacity to call me an extremist?'

As Rogue opened fire the Founder reached out with his hand, his psychic power was strong enough to deflect her bullets. 'So be it!' he said menacingly.

The Custodiae opened fire at Alexz, Rogue and Veroen.

"Love," Judas said with his typical smirk, "If I'm gonna be occupyin' myself in my bedroom, it ain't gonna be by myself. I dunno how ya do things, but I need the touch of a woman. Can't really do it on me own like other fellas, it's just not the same." The woman went on to explain that she was going to give him free reign and allow him to patrol wherever he wanted, as well as giving him tips on places of which to patrol, though by now such places were already in his mind. If New York's nightlife was anything like London's, the night kind liked to hang around wherever humans liked to drink and indulge themselves in debauchery; such things usually included bars and nightclubs, and sometimes even crack houses. Stupid humans made easy victims, and nothing made humans stupider than hormones and substances that messed with brain chemistry. This was why he always used his job as an excuse to visit one of London's many industrial and goth clubs.

"Very well then, love, better get a move on then," he said with a wink, turning away from the woman in the alley and making his way to the motorcycle parked in front of the bar. He raised his bandana up to cover his face and put on the helmet resting by the handlebar, climbing onto the saddle. He turned the ignition and turned his head toward the female hunter in his presence. "Now unless ya happen ta have your own transport I'm not seein', I guess you're riding in back," he said with his familiar smirk. He gave her a chance to climb on. "You'll have to hold on real tight, love, I 'aven't a spare helmet, and I wouldn't wanna see yer pretty little head damaged; I can ride a bit recklessly sometimes."

As soon as she got on he did not hesitate to take off to a different part of the city, one he felt would be more conducive to finding the inhabitants of the night doing deeds that would be considered unsavory by any hunter. He stopped when he arrived at such a place, several blocks surrounding a local nightclub. As he shut off the bike he placed the helmet hanging over the bike's handlebar and lowered his bandana. He gave a chance for Meredith to stand before eventually getting up himself. He immediately went for his saddlebag, opening it up and removing a set of night vision goggles and placing it over his head. "Just in case, love, I may be superhuman but I don't exactly have the beasties' eyes." He then walked up to the woman and reached his arm around her waist. "This is gonna take several jumps," he said, tone a lot more serious now than before. "You need to hang on tight, unless ya want me ta let go and drop ya from several stories up an' leave ya nothin' but a very pretty stain on the ground." He brought her close to him as he began a long series of teleportations that eventually brought the two to the rooftop of a rather tall apartment building.

He let go of the woman and stepped back, unzipping his trench coat and letting it fall on the roof casually, revealing him to be rather well armed, including a back quiver hanging from his belt, which he quickly strapped onto his back. "I like patrollin' from the rooftops, love," he said as he leaned over the north ledge of the building, looking down and lowering the goggles so he could see closer to the ground. "I can see more from up here, and jump down if I need ta real quick." The building was not so far off the ground that they would not be able to see anything. For a while he patrolled the blocks surrounding, watching for any unsavory characters. He finally snapped his finger to grab the lycan's attention when he saw some suspicious activity, a woman being pinned against the wall by a shady looking man. Of course, in a city like this filled with debauchery that could mean any number of things, but a quick zoom in with his goggles let him see the fangs and claws protruding from the individual as he pinned the woman by the throat. A scream followed soon after.

Without warning he quickly leapt from the side of the building, and in a sudden puff of black smoke that disappeared as soon as it appeared he was gone, leaving behind only what seemed to be the sound of fluttering wings. He appeared and disappeared several times before reaching the ground, booted feet landing with a thud. Without another moment's notice he once again teleported as he drew his gun in his right hand, reappearing beside the vampire and pulling the trigger three times soon as the safety was off, letting out three UV bullets into the vampire's chest. "Run, love, and forget ya ever saw this," he said without even looking at the woman. He stared down at the vampire before him, struggling to get up as the liquid sunlight destroyed his body from the inside. He squeezed the trigger once more, letting another UV bullet fly into the vampire's skull and ending his misery.

He looked around. The woman was already gone. He thought about jumping back up to grab huntress leader still on the rooftop, but his considerations were interrupted by the sound of hissing coming from the far side of the alley. He removed his goggles, leaving them on the ground so they would not be a burden if he were to get into a close quarters fight. Without warning several pairs of glowing eyes came at him slowly, apparently friends out to avenge their fallen brethren. "Now now mates, yer buddy here was breakin' the law. If ya don't want to share in his fate, I suggest ya turn back now," he said, tone completely even and far more serious than it normally was. He flipped the safety of his gun back on and grabbed on to the bow that hung, folded, by his side. His warning did not appear to have any effect, and just seemed to anger the group even further, as they moved toward him with ferocity. "Very well then," he said as he clicked the button to allow his bow to unfold in his left hand. With his right hand he quickly reached for one of the arrows strapped to his right leg, quickly placing it on the bow and fully drawing it. Without hesitation it whizzed past several of the vampires to strike the centermost one in the chest, sending him flying backward. Within seconds there was a bright explosion of UV liquid where the stricken vampire landing, leaving behind very little of its torso.

"This is my kind of party anyway." Perhaps his new huntress friend would care to join in.

He made no motion to secure the gun in his hand as it flew away from him in a psychic attack from the newly arrived woman. Instead he used his control over the void to make the stallion beneath him, as well as the rifle in his hand, suddenly disappear in a cloud of black smoke. As soon as his boots touched the surface of the rooftop, spurs rattling, he dove to the side. He rolled as he landed on his side, grabbing the dropped pistol and landing in a crouched position. He once again pointed the pistol at the two elders seemingly opposing him, this time holding the pistol with his right hand on the bladed grip of the revolver. At this moment he did not know who his real enemy was, but so far none of them had attacked them but that little whore elder with the telekinesis. He always did hate psychics, and this girl so far had not provided an argument to change his mind on the matter. Still, he could not argue that these New York vampires' camaraderie with the abominable dogs did not put them on his Christmas card list. But in the end, it was all up to Katarina what side he was to pick; he had absolutely no stake in this coven, that was Katarina's business. He was here as nothing more than a friend who was along for the ride.

Again the elders decided to bore him with more talk, as the woman with the psycho kinesis prattled on only repeating the same points. It mattered little to him what they said, as it was frankly none of his business. He only cared what Katarina had to say about matters, and that she did do. She spoke exactly what he thought, that their tolerance of lycans was nothing short of naiveté in its purest form. Elders were supposed to keep their people safe, protect them, be good shepherds for the vampire covens, and yet here they were consorting with the wolves that would soon gorge themselves on their flock. This was exactly why he did not involve himself with covens and elders; all politics ever did was corrupt, even in his day, and it appeared the New York coven was no exception. Here they were sleeping with wolves and holding hands with them instead of doing the right thing and blasting all their heads off. If they were that weak that they had no choice but to make peace with the lycans to preserve themselves, then what good were they in the first place? The sheriff in him wanted to lock away these elders in a deep dark place for all eternity for taking away the coven's spine. But at the moment all he could do was laugh to himself as Veroen and Alexz tried to defend their practices, even going far enough to call Katarina an animal and try to condescend to her.

Without warning, however, it seemed the person he and Katarina had come to defend had had enough of talk, sending furious assaults in the direction of the two elders. He did nothing to defend the man, but did nothing to help him either, not unless Katarina wanted to. He kept his footing as the building began to rumble beneath them with the woman's psychic force. He stood, momentarily taking his gun off of the elders and holding it down to his side, but not at all taking his attention away from the others. He covered his face with his forearm as there was a loud bang and suddenly they were joined by even more strangers. Without hesitation he turned his revolver to the bald man in the trench coat. And yet again, there was more talk about vampire politics. Lucien was almost ready to turn the gun on himself if these people did not stop their yapping and gave him and Katarina something to shoot already. He stepped back, relaxing his aim on the man and simply crossing his arms, finding a ledge to lean back against. He let out a breath with a bored expression, taking a moment to polish the blade of his pistol's grip with his sleeve as the others continued talking. While he certainly seemed to lose any interest in the situation at hand, looks could certainly be deceiving as he mentally took note of the layout of the roof, making plans in his head for when the fight eventually erupted, though at this point it seemed like the only fights that would occur was pointless clashing of ideologies.

It was not long before Rogue, Katarina's friend, suddenly joined in on the little rooftop reunion, opening fire with a pair of guns. The Founder deflected the bullets with his psychic abilities, and immediately the man's soldiers began firing upon the elders of the New York coven. He remained calm, as if completely unfazed by the action around him, considering no one appeared to be target him. "So, Kat," he shouted in as casual a voice as he could over the sound of gunfire, "Who we killin'?" Other than that he made utterly no motion to help anyone on the rooftop, simply standing there and watching as the two sides tried to tear each other apart.

This was a helluva lot more entertaining to watch than god damn ideology debates.

The Founder stood, one arm reaching towards the heavens.

'In nomine veritatis
Percutiamque vos invoco lucem sanctam.
Iustitia condemnabit te!
Exuro haereticus!.'
He chanted, his psychic powers building.

There was a flash as lightning from the heavens struck the Founder; but rather than harm him it crackled around him, an electric blue aura.
The Custodae were fanning out, taking cover whilst maintaining a fierce barrage of bullets.

Katarina wasn't willing to waste more of her breath retorting to blind elders that had convinced themselves of the goodness of lycans. Her discrimination was rooted in personal experience, not solely because she'd been told because she was a vampire she was to hate lycans. She was no fool. She followed no one blindly and took everything she was told with a grain of salt. She had a mind of her own, she'd had half a millennium to see the world and its inhabitants. As much as they liked to assume her conclusion was unfounded, it wasn't.

Despite the fact she was no longer speaking and merely waiting for Veroen and Alexz to finish their self-righteous speeches, they both went on. They threw the words animal, traitor, blind, whatever they could come up with at her. Their words didn't fall upon deaf ears but words were hardly going to hurt someone as hardened as she was. Opinions of others had been something she'd ceased caring about centuries ago. She did, however, have to bite back some laughter at Veroen and Alexz's ignorant persistence. They served to amuse her briefly at the very least.

It was then that Rogue chose to interject within her mind, having the audacity to ask her for help after allowing the two other elders to sit there like annoying flies on the wall buzzing around her ear. Then again, Rogue seemed to possess better manners and diplomatic skills than the two other elders combined. They reminded her of children where as Rogue was merely an overly indulgent parent not bothering to discipline them when they stepped out of line. 'I will not see fellow kin die when it is within my power to intervene and prevent such tragedy. However, that being said, I do not take kindly to those who choose to defend their own enemies. Were I an animal, as they claim, I think you and I both know very well by this point they would likely lack tongues with which to speak. Alas, it is the nature of vampires and humans alike to brush aside graciousness and instead of being grateful merely continue to expect more.'

"If you'd be so kind, Lucien," Kat's stone cold yet eerily seraphic voice requested, "as to proceed picking off the underlings annoying us with their silly toys, that would be much appreciated. You know I've always had a distaste for how deafening those man-made contraptions are. Cover fire, if necessary, would always prove useful as well should the need arise. Don't feel the need to hold back, we're apparently animals after all." The final sentence she uttered was with an unworldly darkness, the void intoning its way into her voice the first time since she'd arrived to New York as she spoke.

Animals that were about to save the petty existence of these children who'd come to dub themselves as elders. She wasn't sure which was more painful, listening to them squawk and repeat the same points over and over or biting back her own pride and actually preserving their lives only for them to continue promoting their foolish nonsense. It was a painful blow to her pride to preserve such stupidity, her being an avid believer in Darwin's survival of the fittest.

Upon hearing the Founder shout his pretty Latin verses he assumed would vanquish them, Katarina was quick to respond and react in kind, "Magno audacique prophetae loquentis aspicere Latinis. Illum oportet cogitare se valde specialis. Nox ubi regnat autem lux non est inventus." As the mass of energy was unleashed toward Alexz, a darkness appeared before her like a tear in reality, assuring the energy would collide with it before it would contact Alexz. Upon impact with the darkness the energy was engulfed and absorbed, the tear closing itself up making it seem as though the energy had never existed to begin with.

"While your cause is noble, the methods you utilize to go about it are not methods I can condone. Harming your own kind hardly seems congruent with your ultimate goal. If you are eradicating lycans then perhaps you should be focusing on that as opposed to killing off your own kind." Despite the fact she spoke those words she could easily see the reasoning for attacking these elders specifically. New leadership would be ideal in New York if the Nightwatch was to complete its goals with ease. Elders that sympathized foolishly with lycans would only impede their progress. Again, survival of the fittest seemed to be in Kat's favor to choose to eradicate lycans as opposed to accept them. After all, it was her defending the sympathizers as opposed to vice versa.

Rogue leapt in a somewhat animalistic movement, behind the top of an elevator shaft and generator as the Custodia opened fire. She evaded incoming bullets. She removed the clips from her guns and slid in another set.
There was a brief moment when the bullets stopped.
She glanced around the corner at the Founder's words. She could see his darkened aura collecting psychic energy...the lightning flash collecting around him. She saw his eyes move to Alexz.
Bullets started up again and she slammed back against the elevator shaft. She looked again, and shot several rounds at the Founder as he unleashed an extreme amount of the cracking power, aimed at Alexz. At that same moment she felt the void rip open in front of Alexz, swallowing the psychic energy.

She dropped both of her guns, and her right hand went to her chest. Something inside Rogue felt as if she needed to gasp for air. Her mind flashed into darkness, and she could hear it calling...screaming to be let loose. Her fangs elongated, and she felt the Sanguinarian in her also begin its protest for blood.
The two forces were working simultaneously to either drive her mad, or destroy her completely. When they aligned themselves on a single purpose, both the void and the Sanguinarian, control slipped quickly.

She slammed her head back against the elevator shaft, a pain shot along her nerve endings, and an animalistic roar escaped her lips, more from the surprise at her own body rebelling against her.
I can't lose control, not now...Alexz...Veroen...
Though she didn't need to breathe, she inhaled deeply, scraping for control.

Katarina wasted no time in answering his question, and he simply stood straight. He removed his hat, bowing his head toward the woman in a mocking motion. "Very well, ma'am," he said, his tone playful. Without much further ado he retreated into the void, standing motionless as the concrete beneath him appeared to slowly swallow him. "No holdin' back, then," he repeated her request just before being completely swallowed up by the void. "You got it."

For a moment he was nowhere to be found, but after a few seconds as the groups fought between each other, but soon there was a dark circle at the Custodia's collective feet. Within moments the cowboy hurled himself several feet into the air from beneath the Custodia's position, using the void to catapult himself upward. His face no longer showed any hint of playfulness or mocking; that was replaced by a sobered and grim expression, eyes glowing a bright crimson and his fangs protruding for the first time since he'd been in New York. As he fell back downward, he quickly aimed his gun at several of the soldiers beneath him and squeezed the trigger, fanning the hammer without any sign of effort, as if this were simply just another day in the life for him. He aimed for one of the soldiers in particular, hoping to tear it apart before he even landed on the ground, ejecting the spent cylinder and replacing it with a new one as his feet touched the concrete, spurs rattling.

Lucien did not miss the Founder's display of power and the way Katarina waved aside the attack as if it was nothing. That's mah girl, he thought to himself as he took aim at the rest of the soldiers in his way.

As Rogue sprang into action, opening fire on the Founder and his Custodiae, Alexz's muscles tensed in preparation. She anticipated the Founder's next retaliative decision, allotting her enough time to focus her mind on the locations of the Custodiae, and more importantly their firearms, as they took their various positions. This allowed her to better direct her energy as they opened fire, slowing the bullets as they cut through the air towards her, aimed for different points on her body; before any came into contact with her flesh, they slowed to a stop and dropped, their contact with the ground producing a rhythmic and almost musical tinkling.

While she managed this task, she felt an unusual and subtle shift in energy just before the Founder reached to the heavens, summoning an electrical current with his Latin incantation. As he used his body as a channel to direct such an unstable source of power in her direction, her shadow opened beneath her. Just as she began to drop into it, however, Katarina intervened, opening the space in front of her to the Void for the energy to be redirected and absorbed. Her shadow closed just as quickly as it had opened before the toes of her boots dipped into the darkness. She knew that Katarina's intervention did not stem from a desire to protect her out of loyalty or respect, but it nonetheless deserved acknowledgment despite her ability to have avoided injury on her own.

"Thank you, Katarina, but that was unnecessary," she said in a calm and measured tone.

The style with which the Founder fought was one which she had witnessed before, but not one which she utilized. Drawing upon nature was dangerous and, she felt, unwise considering the forces of nature were raw, unpredictable, and wild. Though it was possible for them to be manipulated on a certain level, they could never truly be controlled, making it an unnecessary gamble with fate. Similar reasons made her reluctant to truly open herself to the Void and the possibilities the darkness offered. She felt the Founder's approach overly stylized and impractical, very different from how she preferred to use her abilities. Before Alexz could demonstrate with a retaliation of her own, however, she felt Rogue slip.

"Don't," she said sharply into her mind, fearing that if she were to fall, they would all follow.

Before any of the Founder's men could take advantage of Rogue's vulnerable position, she appeared at her side, a long silver chain snaking out of her left boot and into her hand. With a flick of her wrist, the chain whipped through the air, lashing at one of the approaching Custodiae, aiming to wrap itself around his forearm, wrist, and firearm. As the chain sailed through the air, her dagger appeared in her right hand in a motion so quick it seemed to be blurred, before being thrown at another approaching assailant.

Rogue's eyes lit a bright green, glowing in the shadow of the roof they were in. Her nails elongated to their natural state, bringing a slight rush of pain, but it was clear that the Sanguinarian inside wouldn't let go. Kaei felt the weight of her fangs and nails and could do nothing as the edges of her vision changed to red. She had dealt with the Sanguinarian far longer than the void, and when the animal was in control, the void's pull lessened immensely. Perhaps her own body was trying to protect her from the void's full grasp.

Or maybe it was releasing her because she was pleasing the void, doing the void's will.
Regardless, her body reacted in complete primal instinct. Another animalistic roar came from her lips, and she was on her feet.
Alexz's words reverberated in her mind. ...i'm.....ss.sorry.....i...can't.....co..cover...me... Instead of words, Kaei's mind flashed images through their mental connection for Alexz to cover her telekinetically. Perhaps this could be used to their advantage. Only time would tell.

In a graceful two step leap, she leapt at one of the Custodiae, her hand deflecting a gun aimed at her face. Her left hand's claws sunk into the shoulder and she wrapped her legs around the waist of the vampire. He started to squirm to get Rogue off of himself, but she used her right hand to pull his head to the side and sink her teeth deep into his neck. She savagely tore at his flesh, and pulled on his pain receptors. He bit out of a scream and fell backwards, and in the moment he fell, Rogue was leaning over him in a feral stance, and looked back into Alexz's eyes, blood dripping savagely from her chin, and then in the next moment leapt at the next attacker.

By no means had Katarina missed Rogue's brief slip toward loss of control to the void. It was an interesting notion to say the least considering the last time she'd intermingled with Rogue no such reaction had manifested on Rogue's part. It was merely a side note of interest that Katarina would file away in the event the tid bit became useful knowledge in the future. Clearly the void had managed to touch Rogue at some point as well as the psychic amongst them. As for why or how that would likely remain a mystery as they didn't seem particularly forward or voluntary with information.

Instead of acknowledging the arrogant, snobby vampire's comment, Katarina chose to completely ignore Alexz. If she was going to be an ignorant, ungrateful wench that acted like a child, that was her choice. Katarina, however, didn't have the time for the supposed elder's immature antics and chose to devote her time and attention to more important matters.

'I trust you,' Katarina chose to uncharacteristically speak into Rogue's mind, "to be able to judge your own limitations, Kaei.' The Norwegian beauty chose to say nothing further on the matter. She knew Rogue would understand the sentiment behind her words. It was her way of respecting Kaei and duplicating concern for her all in a sentence. The last thing Katarina wanted to do was be forced to intervene on Rogue's behalf because Rogue had lost control of herself. At the same time, she trusted Rogue enough that she did not bother to lecture her either. Lastly, it issued a warning that Katarina would have to take matters into her own hands if Rogue truly did lose herself. If a vampire of Rogue's stature lost themself it could prove detrimental to the entire operation they were currently undergoing and jeopardize lives. In such a situation Katarina, unfortunately, could not guarantee Rogue her safety.

As opposed to babysitting Rogue and the ignorant psychic, Katarina focused her attention on the underlings she'd asked Lucien to take care of. While she didn't have any doubt that he would be fine in handling them by himself, their numbers were rather overwhelming and her preference happened to be tackling the smallest issue being ignored by everyone else before it became a much larger one. Fatigue and physical limits rendered any being prone to a well aimed gun's wrath. She intended to prevent such tragedy from befalling anyone on the rooftop.

Veroen sensed Rogue slipping to the void through the connection they had as Elders, and looked towards her quickly with a momentary look of concern. After seeing that she would not fall to the Void, he looked forward towards the enemies in front of him, and before a fraction of a second had passed, he made his move. Seeing that Lucien and Katarina had decided to attack the Founder and his soldiers, rather than attack Rogue, Alexz, and himself, the Void Master decided that he would go straight for the Founder, since no one was currently going for him.

His fangs elongated, and his eyes grew dark as he catapulted his body forward into a sprint that was too fast for any human to even see. His sword gleamed in the moonlight as he raised it in front of him, crossing it with his handgun which was raised as well, aimed in front of him.

'Rogue, be careful..' he whispered into Rogues mind, sensing her internal conflict. '..don't give in.'

He dodged incoming fire gracefully, as if it were a dance, spinning, turning, ducking, and even deflecting a bullet or two with his solid silver katana as he charged straight toward the Founder. His left arm instinctively lined up with enemies in his way, and he squeezed off a few UV rounds here and there at some of the Custodiae in his path. He was purposely holding back his urge to summon forth the Void to consume the enemies, because he did not wish for Rogue to lose control.

He didn't dwell on the exchange with Katarina, for it would more than likely be something that would have to wait till after the battle at hand. Since he had no more reason to continue to act as the arrogant Elder to hide Rogues presence, his demeanor reverted back to what it truly was, the demeanor of a quiet and deadly assassin that he was.

He quickly closed the distance between himself and the Founder with intense speed, and his darkened eyes narrowed as he leapt forward at him, swinging his katana into a horizontal slash, aimed at opening he bowels of the Founder. Rather than focus on the underlings, Veroen's instincts as a War tactician told him to cut the head off the beast that was the onslaught of Nightwatch personnel.

The Custodiae died protecting their leader, one by one they were picked off. Their sacrifices pained the Founder, they were his most loyal followers and for each death he would commit penance. He had brought them here and now they were dead.
'You are all fools, look at us! Fighting among ourselves, can't you see I'm trying to bring us together as a unified single front?'
He wept as he fought against Veroen, dodging his attack. He wept as he remembered how the Lycans had attacked his family, ripping them apart. And how his coven had done nothing as they were afraid to upset the truce. Yet the Lycans had shown utter contempt towards the Vampire's attempts at peace.
He wept as he remembered the terrible vengeance he had wrought on coven and Lycan alike.
He would not allow such a thing to happen ever again. His plans would not be thwarted by this coven.

He could sense Rogue's battle with the void and pushed at her mind, attempting to over balance her efforts to stay sane. He saw Alexz rush to her aid and unleashed The Doom upon her. The psychic attack would unleash her worst fears upon her. Though it wouldn't really hurt her, it would buy him time to deal with Veroen.
The Void monkey was relentless, and assailed the Founder with blow after blow, he knew what Veroen was trying to do, 'You have good instincts, cut the head off the dragon and the body will fall. It's a noble ideal but irrelevant, strike me down and a hundred more will take my place. You think I enslaved all my followers? Fool! Kensington was a necessary evil, and I will face judgement for that when all this is over.'

He emitted a blast wave of energy to throw Veroen back.

Meredith wasn't particularly keen on sharing the details of her currently non-existent sex life. She'd pretty much sworn off of it due to it creating way too many issues and the fact that she was the type that needed to be incredibly wasted or actually interested in someone before she would partake in the act. At the moment she had absolutely no interest in relationships or anything that could potentially pertain to them, aka Judas' current topic of choice. "As lovely as I'm sure you find your bedroom adventures to be, I'd prefer to keep the contents of my stomach where they belong: in my stomach." She was aiming to effectively curb the topic before it got too graphic or off topic from what their current meeting was supposed to be about.

She was grateful when Judas suggested they should get a move on, however, the wink that accompanied it only served to further irk the lycan. He was an easy to get along with guy but he was unbearably flirty which got on her nerves really quickly. The fact he was so easy to get along with only made it more annoying because she found she wasn't able to get full out mad at him like she would with most people. It was a strange phenomenon for the lycan huntress that was both curious and infuriating.

Before Judas really had the chance to conclude that she hadn't arrived here by means of a vehicle she was already mounting the back of his bike before he'd even offered her a seat. It was pretty obvious she was going to have to ride with him in order to observe him in action so she figured it just went without say she'd be coming along. When told she'd have to hold on real tight because he didn't have a spare helmet, Meredith snorted. "You act as though someone like me has never seen a bike before. Don't need to worry about me, my grip probably matches yours and then some. As for my head, I've got a thick skull in more than one way so no worries in that department either."

Had he forgotten she was a lycan or something? It was a little strange for someone to treat her as though she were delicate or dainty. She wasn't accustomed to being treated like a woman with perhaps the exception of Veroen, she'd always been one of the boys so to speak. Upon the thought of Veroen running through her mind she was reminded of the incident at Las Noches and how she could have sworn she'd caught his scent ... The desire to investigate the matter and confirm whether she'd imagined it or not immediately swelled up inside her. She became lost in the prison of her memories for the duration of the bike ride seeing as she was unable to speak to Judas while riding at the high speeds he chose to regardless. It was a temporary hell for her and she was very relieved once the ride had concluded.

Again Judas was treating her as though she was some fragile piece of ancient china that would break if so much as poked in the wrong way. She was a lot more durable than he seemed to give her credit for, she was able to fall from fairly significant heights and retain minimal damage. The fact he didn't seem to regard her as a beast like most others did definitely caught her off guard. She wasn't used to being treated 'normally' any longer. It was either someone being condescending to her because she was 'young' or people fearing her because she was a 'beast'.

Meredith chose to allow Judas free reign and to do things his way, she respected that everyone had different methods to their madness and so long as they played by the rules and did their job she wasn't about to complain. They waited for a while until the man abruptly snapped his fingers and within a moment had jumped off the top of the building. The lycan huntress could not help but snicker at the act that would prove suicidal for virtually anyone else. She chose to observe from the rooftop, not bothering to make her presence known. However, once she saw Judas had gotten himself into a bit of a situation she decided she would offer her assistance as opposed to being the lazy a** hole who sat back and watched until the last possible moment.

While she had faith in his abilities, she saw no reason to put his life at unnecessary risk. He wasn't officially a hunter yet but regardless she wasn't going to expose him to potential harm if she had a chance to prevent it. It would also allow her to see if he played well with others. Hunters were supposed to work in conjunction with one another, she did not tolerate macho lone wolves out to compensate for their small penises.

The lycan made her way down the building by means of sliding down the side of it, grabbing window sills here and there to assure she was sliding as opposed to falling. Her brute strength acquired from her lycan blood allowed her to do so without pulling the sockets out of her arms like she would have if she were human. It was clear she had practiced climbing and routines such as these fairly often as she was extremely efficient in her descent.

Soon enough she was in the alley, flanking the remaining vampires and wasting no time in assisting Judas. They'd been offered their warning and still they chose to stand against the man, that was a poor decision on their part and Meredith was swift to deliver her judgment. She flew from the shadows of the alley with unnatural speed, grabbing one vampire by the throat and with her momentum essentially close-lining him. She used the momentum to slam him into the wall, hand still firmly holding his throat, raising him off the ground as she did so. "You were given a warning. I'm here to reiterate that warning. I'll give you all one last chance to walk away and abide by the laws the hunters have set down for you. Should you choose to defy either then you will be terminated: do you understand?"

Her grip did not falter on the vampire's throat, if anything it tightened for a moment before she set him down to allow him to respond. In reality she easily could have squeezed to the point she broke the vampire's neck and proceeded to sever his head from his body right then and there, however, she was not a brutal maniac. She was giving them one last chance to reconsider their decision to oppose Judas and now herself. Scare tactics, she found, were sometimes effective in preventing unnecessary death.
