"No, just extra clothing in case we stay an extra day, or something happens." He stopped, turning to look at her. "Corinne...I'm not exactly welcome in my homeland...we won't be in the public eye at all..." He shook his head, then opened the door to his room. Going to his desk, Richard hauled a book onto it's surface, reading several pages quickly. It was an old book, filled with many, many spells and magics in all sorts of languages, all in Richard's handwriting. After a few minutes of this, he shut the book, whisked it back to a drawer, and looked a little better. He opened a top drawer, stowing several items away inside a small blue drawstring bag that could be worn over both shoulders, and shut the drawer with a snap. He didn't have to worry about packing really, he still had his room at the academy. "Well, that'll do for me." He said with a smile.

Corinne nodded to Richard's explanation. Walking over to the small section of the room that she had stashed her clothes in. Carefully she folded up a spare dress and put it in a bag she had bought. "I'm ready," she said, turning back to Richard.
((I've got to go to dinner.))

(Oke doke. Send me a pm if you get back.))
Richard opened his closet, reaching up to pull a cord down from the ceiling of it. The cord was invisible, but a wooden ladder descended slowly, as if through water. He stepped up and pushed a square off, which led to a room in another country. It was a portal pretty much, but it looked as if this room was above the muffin, even though it wasn't. ((Subforum!!))

(( Yay! I know Tomo's on >_> just not here apparently ))
Nox walked cheerfully down the stairs, humming an old British song. He wore a sleeveless Oriental-style black shirt with red trim, the collar covering most of his neck. He also had black gloves on up to his elbows, and the usual tight-fitting black pants. He walked behind the bar, wondering if any customers would be in.

Arlen sat at one of the tables downstairs, drawing in some coloring books, humming quietly to himself, and of course kicking his feet. It was improbable that he saw Nox come downstairs seeing as he didn't look up to wave at the man.

Nox saw Arlen, and noticed that he seemed to be coloring something. Curious, and having little else to do, he came to stand behind the boy, peering over his shoulder. "What are you coloring?" he asked pleasantly. "Oh--and would you like anything to eat or drink?"

"It's a dragon!" Arlen said proudly, leaning back so the man could clearly see the half-colored, fire-breathing lizard. "Could I have a sandwich?" He asked, and then after a moment added, "Please."

(( D: sorry for the lag! ))
"Ah, I see," said Nox, smiling in spite of himself. "That's a very beautiful and feirce-looking dragon! Any particular type of sandwhich, sir?" he asked, amused.

"Peanut butter," Arlen said decisively, beaming at the praise and turning back to his coloring. "I worked really hard on it," he said as he looked the drawing over.

"Right away, sir," said Nox, bowing in an elaborate manner before heading off to the kitchen. He'd never made a peanut-butter sandwhich before, but he was willing to try. He got out the bread and began to spread the peanut-butter over the peices. This wasn't so hard. He returned with the sandwhich on the plate, along with a glass of milk. He wasn't sure if Arlen would want milk, but he needed a drink so.. "Here you are, young artist!" Nox said, setting the things down, safely away from the coloring book.

"Thank you Mister," Arlen chimed politely, pushing the coloring book to the side to pull his food closer to him.

"You may call me Nox," he said, taking a seat on the other side of the table. "So... are you here with your parents, perchance...?" It seemed odd that a boy his age would be alone, but Nox hadn't ever met anyone resembling a parent to him.
