Odd, he's a researcher but he has a certain playfulness. "Ok I'll find out when we get there" Lishkra said showing a slight smile. He started walking again.

They walked for almost an hour, Vadim not speaking unless Lishkra did so first.
Eventually, they came to a clearing in the forest, "If I remember correctly, the village should be just behind those trees.

"How big is the town?" Lishkra asked a bit worried. I hope it's big. I need to visit a herb shop, see all the rare herbs that grow in the world of Twilight. I also need to visit a mageware shop.

Vadim shrugged, "Last time I was here, it wasn't too big, just a few huts here and there, but I think it's definitely gotten larger." he said, walking through the trees.

Lishkra's heart sank. Oh well I guess we'll eventually find a city or town that has what I need. "They sound like an uncivilized lot" Lishkra said sadly. He followed Vadim through the copse of trees.

Vadim gave a slight wave, "Well, they were quite friendly, and I was only here a long time ago, I'm sure they're more functional now." he explained as they neared the end of the tangle foliage.

((Yup, sorry it took so long, my internet was being wacky.))
Vadim was the first to emerge from the tangle of trees. Before him stood an impressive town, not the fanciest or the largest, but definitely much better off than the last time Vadim had visited.
The town was alive with the hustle and bustle of everyday life as people walked here and there, did this and that, and went on with their daily lives.
A dry, hollow sound emerged from Vadim, possibly a whistle, "It seems to have gotten much bigger." he said, resuming his walk.

Lishkra emerged moments later. He looked dully at the town. Perhaps they have a garden somewhere Lishkra sighed. "Ok let's find an inn. We need to ask around about rumors of the gem, and get a good nights sleep."

"Ah, yes, sleep." Vadim mumbled, as if the concept was unknown to him, "I'm not sure where an inn would be, it's changed quite a bit, but it shouldn't be too hard to find one." he said, heading for the town's entrance.

"Captain, You may want to come take a look at this." Captain Steel shakes his head, wondering what could have caught the soldiers attention besides the now absent sun. What he sees causes him to pause for a moment. The soldiers were supporting a man who was barely conscious. he held a staff in his left hand with a death grip. His right arm had been shorn clean off at the elbow and he was covered with several long gashes. They appeared to be claw marks. As he approached the man looks up. "Dead. Their all dead. The shadows killed them, he killed them all." Before he could say any more the man collapsed. "Get that man in the boat and take him to Haven. See if you can find the healer. If you can't look for the man named Xavier, he should know where she is."
((If I remember right the group was in Haven last. If i'm wrong, let me know and I'll change it.))

Xavier became rigid as his nostrils flared. He set down Sionet in a seat before standing up and swiftly walking to the door. Xavier through it open and stepped outside to stare up at the black sky. What has caused the death of the stars and sun? Xavier lifted a hand to his chin while taking a very tall and straight posture. If such a thing were to live on, the world will surely decay..
