Shadow sees a chair then walks over and sits in it, she looks at Azriel and Angelique seeing they are beginning to drift to sleep.

mortis looked to fate. "i wish you would forgive me...i didn't want to upset you in the first place i..." he started to cry but stopped so he didn't get blood tears on the child he held in his arms.
"fate...you have no idea how much i've changed...i've found love, happiness, manners" he chuckled at the last part. "and i was not stalking you...i was under the naive impression that you needed my protection....i wanted to protect the whole coven...i was wrong to meaninglessly attack the lycans....i have grown apart from war....i downright despise it now...it's ruining too many lives....many of which were my close friends. i despise myself for the stupid actions i have performed...i'm sorry...so, so sorry" he said, his eyes welling with blood tears.

One of Jack's hands slid down to Astarte's hip as he nodded to her. He looked around the room briefly... mostly trying to confirm the fact that no one was staring at them.
"God I hate always having that feeling," he thought to himself.
