You know, it's not like Calcium comes from plenty of other sources like Broccoli or vitamins or fortified juices. Or that genetics play a key role too. All the calcium in the world doesn't help if you inherited weak enamel. Which happened with my brother: full mouth of cavities before he even started losing his teeth because he could have all the calcium he wanted, he won the genetics lottery and got extremely weak enamel. A lot can be said for good oral hygiene as well. razz
You mean the sell by date? It should be good for a full week after that unless you opened it way before.
That's too bad, K. That pie sounds really good about now. *o*

Even longer if it is unopened, or stored in a colder place, or if you froze it and then thawed it (then you wouldn't be able to use the sell-by date at all it's always kind of weird to pull out "three month old milk" from my grandparent's fridge, but it's because they store bulk in the deep freeze).
Most people tell you simply to let your nose be your guide.
Ritza - A friend of mine had a daughter who was SO sensitive that she could only eat the special nutramagen formula (she probably could have breast fed successfully cutting a bunch of stuff from her diet, both soy AND dairy of all kinds and gluten though). Well, her two year old doesn't particularly like milk but she can now eat all dairy and bread no problem sometimes they grow out of it. Soy she is still allergic to.

My son tested positive for dairy, soy, tree nuts, peanuts, chicken, pork and eggs. THAT was hard eliminating. I knew about the dairy though. I found luna bars which were soy based and was eating those for my chocolate needs until I had to give up soy. But the Food Allergy Anaphylaxis Network has a cook book that I bought. I was able to find a choco cake recipe that we could eat. It looks pretty sick but oh tastes divine lol. He has outgrown most of his allergies I think. He's gotten into things he shouldn't and been fine recently, but I'm scared to actually push things so although he eats yogurt and cheese and broken down dairy products now, I still use rice milk for things that requre actually straight milk in the recipe.
Want my choco cake recipe? It might not be pie, but it could help curb the need for choco beans. xd

Tree nuts?
so like...okay wait...Walnuts grow on trees right?
What else?
I'm just trying to think about what other things are considered nuts that grow on trees I'm sure there are alot. But DAYUM if that isn't a specific allergy.

Tell me about it haha. I think I cried the first few days. I think specifically it's probably almonds he's definately allergic to since that's what I ate non stop when pregnant. But they only tested generically all tree nuts together and said stay away from them all. So that would be what? Walnuts, almonds, chestnuts (blech anyway), pecans, oh dang it I can't remember the rest. I used to be able to spout them off the top of my head but "Tree nuts" is just so much easier to say. xd Normally though allergy information on a lable says something generic like "may contain nut products" and I just avoid those things like the plague.

I'm allergic to all nuts except peanuts and almonds. Something to be careful of when Christmas comes around, and nuts seem to be in everything. sweatdrop

Burnt Glitter, I'm on my way.
Not to totally change the subject or anything but I can't find my camera. Only a parent can understand the depression I feel right now knowing the past six months of my children's lives are on a memory card somewhere lost in my house and if they do anything adorable over the vacation I won't have any way to record the memory. gonk I have ripped my house apart looking for it. I just can't find it. crying

I had that happen to me. Turns out my son had hidden it. xd It was very funny when I finally did find it.
Oh yeah...yay for me? I finally won art from illustrator. It was a good chunk of change, but I finally get art from her. I've been wanting a signature by her for a while. I'm so happy. heart

Yeah I've tried bribing them and even letting them play with the flashlight to try and find it. No such luck. Sigh. Perhaps I should place myself in the stupid people rant thread? How could I be so stupid as to lose my camera. gonk

No one is perfect. heart Hopefully it will turn up somewhere. Maybe if you/someone else took the memory stick out of the camera, it might've fallen behind a chair or a couch? Under a cushion of some sort? Under a table? Ummm... into laundry? Into a pocket in someone's pants? Sorry. sweatdrop Just trying to give suggestions, maybe something will jog your memory.
