Business attire? Bleh. "Alright," she agreed. "We can do that after work sometime." Day after tomorrow, maybe, so she'd be ready for the interview. "Next time I'll make cookies," She said, looking to Toby. How many cookies would fill up a werewolf?

Toby just gave her a thumbs-up. He was currently getting a bit of sticky fur at a pear.
"Sure," Dari said with a nod, "When ever you want. Women aren't required to wear jackets. Agendered slimebags with low vocal tones apparently are." He held his arms out. "Then again, our head agent's naked."
Toby held his own arm out.

"He's not naked, he's got all that fur," Maia pointed out, shaking her head at Dari. She went over to help Toby. "Having trouble?" she asked. Was there a plastic knife in here somewhere? Maybe she could cut up the fruit and feed it to him.

"Well, at least his p***s is internal," Dari said agreeably, "although I'm pretty sure you don't want to list his tail."
Toby glared and rumbled. He shook his head then at Maia's offer. No, there was pretty much no easier way to do this. He imagined it'd be much easier to eat a werewolf's normal prey but he didn't particularly feel like cannibalizing any of his coworkers, no matter how much his instincts tried to nudge him to.

Maia shook her head at Dari. "Don't tease him," she said, giving him a stern look. Toby couldn't fight back in this form, it wasn't fair to tease. "I'll make something easier next time," She promised. Cookies were easy, weren't they? She'd given Rosie cookies before.

Dari just laughed. Sure Toby could defend himself. Violently. He just didn't want to. Toby teased him with a finger though, pointing and shaking it. You listen to that selkie, Dari. Don't tease.

Maia and Dari had gone over the exam questions more than once, had dressed her to impress, had worked on her confidence, and then it was just a waiting game. Everyone asked had thrown in their two cents and nobody had any idea for quite some time what would become of the wannabe recruit.
Her phone rang while she was at the office. It was Andrew, the head of the ambassadorial program. He had started as a human ambassador which was surprisingly often the hardest sort.

Maia answered her phone. "Hello?" It wasn't a number she recognized, which probably meant it was some one from HQ. Unless it was one of those you've won a free cruise! scams.

"Hello? Maia, this is Andrew with the Bureau regarding your application for ambassadorship. I was wondering if we could make an appointment for you to come up and speak with me?"
Toby looked up at Maia from his desk, eyes wide. Was it good, or...?

An appointment? "Of course," she agreed immediately. "When's best for you?" Did he have a time in mind? She looked to Toby and shrugged her shoulders. "Did you want to meet today?"

Toby looked expectantly to Maia. Dari was leaning over his desk.
"Well?" the alien asked.

"Andrew wants to see me about my application," Maia said. "Can you take me to his office?" She looked at Toby. "I might get lost otherwise."

"That's the guy you interviewed with," Toby said, "Come on, I'll bring you up there, but you gotta go in alone." He looked her over. Cute, but not altogether professional. Oh well. It'd have to do. He took Maia's hand and started into the hall.
"Good luck!" Dari called after them.
Toby only brought her to the hall, pointed out Andrew's door, and then winked and showed Maia crossed fingers.
