Little Kokeshi Doll Havessa gently picked one up. Such a rare treasure, as seemingly tough as it was, it felt as though she should be careful anyway. As one of the scales fell into her lap, she let her fingers brush against its surface, taking in every single crevice and curve. The scale was warm to the touch. She seemed to deeply involved in the scale, that it looked like she had completely spaced out, no, as if she was gazing past the outer shell of it and studying it from the inside out. As she inspected it, something in her mind clicked and it was almost as if she went into a trance. She's seen this before, she's felt this before. In a huge flash to her conscious it was as if she were watching a screen in front of her. She was in a museum, and there, she gazed upon an ancient armor made of the same material she now held in her lap, with an almost identical scale propped up beside it. Wait, it wasn't in a museum, but a science lab. There was a man as well. He wore a white robe, long almost like a cloak but with matching pants, and metal buttons. He spoke to her in a friendly tone, but she couldn't see his face. There was something else. The scale in this scene going through her mind began to float in the air towards her, she was controlling it as well. In the current time, in the hide out, Havessa was completely spaced out now, but due to this very real...memory?, the scale that she was inspecting in her lap began to float up into the air. ((Just like in the profile, Havessa is really from the future. But she lost her memory of that life.)) (( Sorry, Must've missed this post. )) "Havessa!?" "Hey, Havessa!? Are you alright!?" Ace nearly shouted. "One second Sam" He quickly said. Ace knew it was dangerous to move someone while he or she was in a trance. But calling the name useally worked. "Haaaaaveeeesssaaaaa!!?" He said one last time. Clapping in his hands in front of her face. (( Ehh. Alex. I'm not sure what Sam wants me to do. PM me what you mean? ))

Lesuva " Vermin, all of you VERMIN! Call out to your gods! For only they can save you! Paris falls tonight and it will be under none but my hand! He Laughed, a sickening garbled sound. he turned his hands upon the nearby houses. gripping the walls. The stonework crumbled and turned to dust, the wood rotted and splintered. In a matter of seconds the two buildings he gripped crumbled to the ground, their occupants screaming beneath the rubble. The figure laughed harder with their screams. " Is their not one of you who will step forth? Not one hero among you? Step forth and die like men, die not cowering in your homes like a rabbit in it's hole! "He strode down the streets, screaming and laughing as he destroyed house, and the poor innocent peoples within. Gloryness Brodon Gloryness stepped forward. A bright light following him, and shining off of his armor. He got into battle position. And said a few words in dwarven speak. This was a prayer to the gods. Within seconds. His battleaxe seemed to grow. It went bright. In the shades, you could easily see what happened. It was full of light. So bright. Almost unbearable. He set another step forward. "You!, Monster. Will give your last breath today. "Gloryrness charged at Salem, in attempt to slash at him. Only, Gloryrness axe would not rust. Nor would his armor. This armor, and this battleaxe. They were blessed by 5 dwarven priests before Gloryrness went into battle. It is believed that that is what got him trough it. ((I don't like to do this, but we have given Lesuva more then ample time to get back and make a post, but it's clear that it's just not going to happen. So as a moderator, in the interest of moving plot along, I'm taking control of his character, at least until he returns, but i suspect he'll die before he gets back...which is fine since he planned on it anyway))Screams could be heard throughout the streets as mass panic hit them. Men, women, children...all running for their lives from the black figure of a man that was terrorizing the street. His form was that of a human, his proportions being correct at least in terms of torso, head, and limbs, but as he moved about, he seemed to grow with each step as he laid ravage the several buildings around him, outstretching his arms which grew to huge sizes to instantly crush and devour structures and people, leaving only wastes of bone and rubble behind. A cackle of evil and perverse laughter followed each act as he terrorized the masses. Several elementals could be seen erupting from the scene, some throwing weak fireballs at the beast, others shots of water or bolts of electricity, but they were swallowed up by the mass and several were crushed under the beast's sinister hand, the rest retreating in fear. The guards had lost all ability to keep any order, in fact, they were the ones doing most of the pushing. Salem's beast had devoured more then half of them by this point and had grown to just over 10 ft tall. " Is their not one of you who will step forth? Not one hero among you? Step forth and die like men, die not cowering in your homes like a rabbit in it's hole!" , the beast called out, asking for a challenge, his voice echoed, and hollow, but filled with an evil intent...he wanted a stronger foe, but who could tell why? In the midst of the chaos, Gloryness quickly erupted from the scene, the creature's call for a challenge was met as the beast turned around, sensing a strong energy behind him, only to see an axe of brilliantly shining light flying towards him. Instinctively, the creature brought his hands up to the mass, his black arms instantly shaping into a dark, ink-like blackened shield. The two forces clashed with a brilliant light and a scream of pain could be heard from the beast as Gloryness' axe struck hard, sending him and the creature flying backwards about 10 feet. The beast screamed in anger, his shield having been cracked, but after a few moments, the moving sea of black ink shifted and regrew, shrinking, but them forming back into the creatures arm as he shot it forward at Gloryness in an attempt to attack him... "Insignificant Weasel! Feel the wrath of DEATH!", the end of the fist quickly morphing into a large, wrecking ball shaped mass of moving black ink.

As much as Straven now wanted to flee, He just couldn't. Something stopped him. He knew, that if he let this monster go. It wouldn't take long before he also reached the other citizens. It did not matter if they were rich, or poor. Those were just too many. Too many lifes. But how could Straven defeat this monster? He would never be able to do this alone. Straven's weapons would be nothing against it. But that man. The dwarf. He seemed to have the power to stop it. Or, Weaken it in the least. Straven needed this man's help. Seeing the ball-fist flying towards Gloryrness, he quickly ran in Gloryrness' direction. While running there, he quickly shot a few bolts of lightning towards the fist. He wasn't sure if it would hit, because of his speed. But it was more or less to distract. ____________________
Gloryrness flew back several feet. But quickly jumped back on his feet as he saw the giant fist-ball flying towards him. He raised a wall of stone infront of him. The front-side of the wall (wich was about to get hit) covered with mud and earth to cushion the attack. So that the wall wouldn't inmediatly break at impact.
____________________
Straven quickly jumped over the wall while it was still being raised. Standing, back against the wall, he pushed against the wall to reinforce it. ____________________
Gloryrness gave the man a puzzled look. But this was no time for questioning. Holding his hands against part of the wall, he too tried to reinforce it.

((It's okay Thy))
The calling of the name Havessa did in fact snap her out of, whatever that was and she took in a huge gasp as the images snapped away from her conscious and she was staring back at Ace, wide-eyed. The moment she came to, the scale that was floating only a foot above her lap fell straight down. The impact of the scale upon her legs caused her to jump slightly. Feeling a little disoriented, she blinked a few times and gazed around some what frantically. "W-what just happened?!" She asked anyone in general who may have an answer.

There was a strange silence as the two braced themselves agaisnt the wall, a few seconds, turning into a minute or two in their heads as they waited for the impact. Finally though, in a sudden explosion of rock, mud, and debris, the wrecking ball like appendage slammed through the wallsending both Straven and Gloryness flying through the air and onto the streets. To each of them, it may have seemed like a failure, but anything less then what they had done would have meant certain death as the wall bore most, if not all of the sheer force behind the attack. The beast cackled maddeningly as his extended appendage split into two tendrils, immediately gripping Straven and Gloryness aboutt he chest, wrapping around them three times and lifted them in the air.
...Gloryness' armor protected him for the msot part, only a slight squeezing effect being felt, but Straven's skin not only felt compressed, but burned as the evil of the creature began to tear apart at his flesh with searing pain. After a few seconds however, when the pain was starting to create screams a large force could be felt as a flash of light purple energy could be seen appearing from the street corner, coming up out of the ground, quickly spinning around just behind Straven and Gloryness as two arcs of purple flame energy moved out from it's center in an X shaped arc, slicing directly through the creature's black tentacles as the black ink recoiled and released the men, as they fell to the ground free to move about. The creatures squealed in agony as it recoiled backwards...the ink that was struck now disintegrating slowly as dark purple flames spread over the cut edges and seemed to eat away at the mass until it was gone.
As Gloryness and Straven looked up, they could see Cobra standing there at the ready, staring down the beast with a determined and fierce look in his eyes. He held his longsword out to his side, slightly behind him and looked like he was ready to dash forward and start attacking at any second with his body language. The sword and Cobra's entire body were as he normally looked, but every inch of him was wrapped in a light/dark purple flame that was remarkably visible as an aura around him. The flames flickered and bounced in the wind, but was still contained solely around Cobra from the moment. this was a side to his power that he preferred not to use, as it carried strong consequences to his body after using it, but dire times called for dire measures, especially when so many were at risk. "Sorry I was late Straven, and I regret that I have no time for introduction, ...it would seem that Salem has gotten out of control. If this man is fighting alongside you, I assume he has some powers...we need to contain Salem fast, I can't keep this aura up for very long...every second we continue, it will sap my energy until I collapse. We have about 10 minutes at best. I say we Blitzkrieg him, all three of us strike as hard and fast as possible...all at the same time."

As the tendrils released them, both Straven and Gloryrness fell to the ground. Gloryrness catched his fall with bent knees, and both gloved hands on the ground.
But Straven fell onto his back, causing him to try and catch breath for a few seconds. Before slowly crawling up, one hand at the large wounds at his chest, the other hanging straight down. Weakly. "I'm not sure if I can, Cobra. I'll try my best." Straven lifted his 'hanging' arm in the air, weakly. As he was truely exhausted.. Both from the hit of the huge fist. And the tendrils that just pressed lots of air out of him, and burned a large part of his body. But Cobra needed him. The city needed him. This was no time to be weak. Even if it'd cost his life, it'd save a lot of others. While Straven's arm was in the air. The air above him went a bit darker. Clouds moved right above his head. (Several feet in the air, ofcourse) Straven now raised the other too, but as soon as he released the wound. He bent down from pain. Re-attempting to lift both arms in the air, nearly invisible lightning began to surround Straven.
Gloryrness nodded. Not saying a word. A large cilinder of earth and stone surrounded Gloryrness. (Gloryrness is IN it. It's "Solid" not empty) But within several seconds, Gloryrness could be seen again. Now covered in stone and earth. Like a second layer of armor. The sky lighted up above him. (The dark clouds and air still remain above Straven. Kind of like a...cool effect, if you imagine how it looks.) A bright yellow light surrounded Gloryrness, formed like himself, and both kneelt. (remember that picture I posted when the house was burning? When Ace turned in a fire..thing?)
Both of them were now ready to attack. They aimed for the chest, as that was the largest part of the body. They awaited for a signal.

Sam pulled his mouth shut and shook his head "And I thought I was the odd-man-out." he muttered and looked to Ace, a slight expression of fright in his eyes "I don't know who, or what, you are. But you're different from the rest of us" he said to Havessa and shook his head again. He turned back to his defacto work station and looked over his shoulder "I think I can honestly say that for the first time in my life, I'm terrified. Terrified of this power, terrified of corruption, and terrified for my own skin." he said and raised his right hand "sooner or later, power corrupts even humblest of men." he muttered and turned back to Havessa "try not to be dissuaded, love. You and I, we're just caught in the crossfire." he said and walked back to his seat, whistling as he went.

(("Absolute power corrupts absolutely" I'm not sure about you, but personally, I'd be terrified of running into just half of what our characters are capable of.
"Odd-Man-Out" as in having unique abilities that few others have.
"Different from the rest of us" Meaning that Havessa isn't like a normal elemental.
"Caught in the crossfire" Meaning Sam and Havessa are both here completely by accident.
Sam would be happy to have a job(a paying job...) whereas Havessa's basically a no-body that got roped in by guilt of association.
Do you understand now or must I explain further?))

(( I understand it now. I wasn't sure to who it was directed, Besides. I wouldn't know why Sam was so scared. And the skin part confused me too. ))
"Well...Havessa. I'm not sure. But you seemed in some trance. And, believe it or not. I saw it with my own eyes.. That scale you was holding? You made it fly or something."
(( Ace too is suprised. That's why he didn't make it sound more logical))
Ace now turned to Sam, and gave him a puzzled look. These guns were too modern for Ace. But if Sam was going to help Allure. Then I guess Ace had to help Sam too. No? While walking towards Sam. He already asked. "You want me to do...what?" He said, his facial expression clearly showing that he had no idea what Sam was speaking about.

Sam held up two blocks of plaster he was working on "these'll be blanks, more rather... templates for the mould. Naturally you can't just pour molten metal into plaster without it melting horribly." he said and took the top off of the first one and showed it to Ace "this is complex, even for me. But I'll do what I can to explain this nice and slow for you." he said and pulled a round out of his belt pouch "normally this rifle needs a single powder charge, and this bullet. What I'm thinking is why not put both together? It's a quicker more mobile loading mechanism, and it lets me load much faster." he said and scratched his head again "I've been stonewalled on what to make my mould out of though..." he said and leaned back in his chair "any ideas?" he asked and looked to Ace.

"How about Iron? I'm sure it can withstand the heat. Atleast, to a certain level"
"But maybe Straven has one around? I noticed that he had a gun holstered when he attacked me last time." "Surely, he gets his bullets in some way?"
Ace scratched his chin. "Combining the two things shouldn't be that hard. We'll have to be carefull and precise though."

Sam shook his head "the problem with Iron is I've no idea if there's any spare scrap laying around..." he muttered and shrugged "Maybe Straven had the same thought as me? Maybe the fellow already has a similar mould laying around that we can use?" he said and stood up, grimacing "there's so many maybes to all of this. What we need is something we know we've got..." he said and began pacing around his work station. Sam stopped and looked to Ace "we'll try your first suggestion. You can get back to your scales. I'll see if I can find any scrap" he said and began rummaging through various piles lying around.

"Another Earth elemental?...but so strange, it seems he has a brilliant energy to him as well, practically the opposite of Salem's...this must be Light, or Life energy...intriguing." Seeing that the other two were ready Cobra summoned up his own energy, the flames around him firing up higher as the ground around him crater under the new weight of the aura as it increased. The ground at his feet cracked and sent a spirals of dust all around him, circling and flowing around the dancing fire to provide a dust shield as the other two had created..."Ikuze!" Cobra charged forward, still holding the sword behind him as he ran, the other two following behind quickly. The beast was still stunned from Cobra's earlier attack, so they reached the destination with minimal to no reaction from the beast.
Simultaneously, Straven and Gloryness leapt into the air and attacked the creature's chest, explosions of energy driving into the beast as Cobra did the same, only differing in that he crouched down quickly before jumping, his leap bringing him up past the others, directly over the creature's head, where he drove his sword into the beast's head. The creature cried out immediately in pain and agony as a screeching noise could be heard for miles around. A brilliant light, filled with electricity and purple flame and pure darkness erupted at the points of origin, creating an immense blast, sending out a shock wave through the air that sent all three of the aprty members flying backwards in the air and crumbled several of the houses in the area. All three of the party members were thrown to the ground, Cobra's and Gloryness's armors decreasing the blast and cushioning their fall, but Straven seemed to have no such defense.
After the creature's scream, it collapsed to a mass on the ground, but after only a few seconds, an arm seemed to come up out of the black ink-like puddle, soon followed by a head and the evil laughing voice again..."Fools...who says I can be killed?...I am DEATH!...you mortals can do nothing to me! I was locked away for years, but now I have come back and I will take my rightful place in this world!" Pulling himself up, Cobra felt the pain of his attacks begin to take affect on his body...the sword was draining too much, he didn't have much time left. Looking over at Straven, things didn't look good. Cobra turned to Gloryness looking for advice..."Ideas?"

(( Straven did mention once, that he made some changes to his gun/ammo. So that he could load faster. So, perhaps. ))
Ace nodded, and went back to Havessa and the scales. The scales seemed to be enough for about 2 or 3 persons. They'd definitly need more. A lot more. Ace wouldn't kill any. Nature did that herself. And Ace, would just take scales that'd still lay around.
"Uggghhh.... I'm not sure what to imagine. How many fire tribesman we'd have to fight. But we really need enough scales. I'll tell Yuuske once he's back." He said audibly. Incase he'd forget.
Ace then remembered that the others needed armor too. Light armor, leather. Wait a second..the thieves. Some of them wore leather. Yeah. Surely they'd be allowed to borrow a bit of it. Or even customize some. He'd be able to make something of it. He'd ask once Straven was back.
Ace now surely wondered if they were able to hold off enough knights. It sure took longer then expected. And Cobra had gone for a while too now.
But there was no time to worry. Ace had work to do. Lots of it. So, He had to search the leather armor. Needles. Thread. Something to connect the scales with. Food and medicine. He wasn't sure how long the trip to DeLeon would take, once they're trough the portal. So, food was a must. The thought of food only made Ace's stomach grumble. He hadn't eaten in a few days. And it didn't seem as if there were much supplies here. They had to get out of the hideout to get food. But how could they, without getting noticed?
It was now that Ace remembered,.. While searching for the scales. He noticed a somewhat larger room, full of clothes. But there were also wigs. And hats. Even a few knight armors. Ace could wear one of those. Along with someone else. They could get some food. An Excellent idea. He thought so himself. They could even get some supplies from the blacksmith.
