A magazine containing... ahem, certain pictures flew straight up to the ceiling as Matt jumped out of his skin, almost as high as the magazine had flown. When Matt landed, he was five feet away from where he had been, balancing on one toe, and holding his hands as if to karate-chip his way to safety.
When he saw Vexis, his eyes narrowed. "Who are you?"

Vexis cocked her head to the side curiously while watching the silly human. "Ine oke da` Nommi shii `eda kuu teihn Vexis!" ((Literally translates to "I come from Stars, and my identity Vexis!" (Yeah, it doesn't translate to English very well.) )) The Synith explained in her own language, as if to demonstrate she wasn't human.
She held out her arm in front of her, and let it become misty to show Matt, wondering if he'd recognize her race or not. Probably not.
After re-solidifying, Vexis stepped a bit closer to the human, her expression humored at his surprise. "Are all humans so scared of races other than your own?"

As Matt was a coward, and he hadn't really counted on anyone seeing what he had been looking at, it wasn't truly surprising that he had been startled. But if Vexis wanted to think what she did... that was fine with Matt. With one hand, he quickly crumpled the magazine and placed it in a pocket.
Matt had understood. He knew perfectly well what a Synith was (that's his job, after all), and his heart rate was slowly falling under a thousand once again.
"That's, uh... great," Matt said, since Vexis could speak his language, "but what are you doing here?"
Although he knew what Syniths were, there was no telling exactly how much he knew about them.

((Vexis appeared on Jad's ship, they pissed each other off, and Vexis eventually attacked Jad, so she had to leave his ship or get eaten by lasers or something.
Maggie was on her home planet, but she lost her wonderful powers of levitation and the planet disappeared. Blake doesn't know that, and he has for some reason received Maggie's powers, and is going to head to the Eseptos planet that doesn't exist anymore.
Nina, the Imperial Investigators, and everybody else hasn't much moved. ))

5:17 p.m. it read on Nina's wrist console. Of course, she had bought it on the planet Mechziko so the quality was questionable and the display had been stuck on 5:17 p.m. from the day she'd bought it. Her eye brows came together as she grew frustrated and peeled off the sticker that said "5:17 p.m." Apparently her wrist console didn't tell time after all. She looked behind her shoulder and down the hallway she walked. She was headed towards the bridge to check up on her crew. Had they forgotten her in her absense? The ship seemed strangely quiet now since most of the newest crew members were scattered
Even more strangely, the captain had apparently escaped from Nolan's interrogations. How she accomplished this will forever remain a mystery but it most likely was thanks to her amazing kung-fu skills.
Nina walked into the bridge and looked around at the empty seats. "Where is everyone?" she asked to no one in particular since the room looked empty. There was a shuffling in a chair and from under a folded newspaper, Steve peeked out and yawned. "They got tired of sitting around so they retired until tomorrow..."
Nina then remembered the mission that they were on. Getting the Jupiter. Had Jad gotten to it yet? Where they still just waiting for his command? Nina yawned and took her place in her control seat, facing the large window. She stared into the bleak cosmic horizon that was identical on all sides and in this way, she began to nod off.

"Well, that Jackass...er...Jad dude kicked me out of his ship once I accidentally teleported here to escape Mutants on Syberius...And this was the closest vessel that wasn't Jad's." Vexis explained, although she was using her 'mind-speak', thus her lips did not move while she spoke. "All I need is to get to a planet, any planet, and I can find my way from there...I have a psycho tracking me down, too."

And her final words were... "((Fire Axel, too? O_O
Well, okay, to put things as short as possible...
Jad is FINALLY inside the Jupiter, a super-powered Blake is with him.
Nina just woke it looks like.
Eseptos along with with Maggie just completely vanished.
An EPIC battle between Rosa and MAI/KAMI happened, KAMI is gone, MAI is more powerful.
Kira was killed off by this freaky alien robot thinger called "Nemesis", Nemesis defeated Rosa and brought her back to this big ship of all androids.
Infinity keeps jumping through time.
And the universe is just really screwed up.
Happy? xd )) " And then...she faded to darkness.

That's weird, because rainbows only appear when it's wet... not sunny. ))
Matt nodded, pretending he understood what Vexis was talking about. He could understand her speech, but she wasn't making much sense.
"Anyway, this is the Atlantis," Matt replied to the original question, unperturbed by thought-speak, "and the bridge is this way." Matt then turned and walked to the bridge, but not before stuffing a crumpled magazine down the nearest incinerator trash-chute.

Nolan rubbed his head. He was naked and in someone's bed. The room was very... very pink. What the hell?

Marth was waiting by the appropriate ship, the digger, when Blake returned. He was very quiet, contemplative, and... generally, just hostile.
Blake frowned, but said nothing, and the two blood-brothers prepared to leave.

Nina woke up from her sleep with a start and swivelled her chair around quickly to see what the noise came from. "Huh? You... Do you work for me?" She scratched her chin and yawned. She sleepy look in her eyes said that she only faguely recognized this guy, probably from his resume, but couldn't remember his name. "I'm sorry I can't answer your question. I've been busy and just got back, myself. No one is here to fill me in as well."
