"Sure." Lou said, shuffling back to the kitchen. Once there, he paused and pulled a hand up to his lips. Had she really...? No, it must have been some sort of fluke. Or maybe everyone thought it had to be broken with a kiss when in realty it had to be broken with acceptance? Yes, that must've been it. After several curse words, a few clangs, and some hisses, Lou walked back out into the main room with two plates of plain pasta. He couldn't remember the last time he had a hot meal. He handed one plate to Vela, nearly forgetting the silverware, which he had also not used in a long time.

Vela took the plate, twirling the pasta with her fork. Eating it quite contently, she managed to paused between bites. "So, aren't you going to thank me?" She asked quite plainly, eyes subconsciously on the food in front of her, in her lap. It was good. Pasta was kind of hard to screw up, though. Well, no matter. It was still good.

Lou arched a dark blue eyebrow and paused his random stabbing with his fork to gaze at her. So, she really had kissed him? Bold. Lou, being Lou, though, couldn't help contradicting. "No." He said seriously, "I don't give a 'thank you' that's asked for. Once someone asks for a thank you it loses all meaning and sincerity." Finally getting enough noodles on his fork to eat, he stuffed a large clump into his mouth before they could fall off. "I appreciate the fact that you broke my curse. That will be sufficient enough of a thank you."

She may have been blind, but Vela still could roll her eyes. "You wouldn't have thanked me if I didn't say anything, so I did." In a mixture of drawing her fork to her face, it was unclear if Vela really did stick her tongue out for a moment, eyes slightly narrowed. Whatta dork.

Louise grinned, "Aha! Just proving that you only did it for praise!" He said almost triumphantly. "And in all honesty, I wasn't sure if it was you that kissed me. Now, thanking you if someone else had would have been extremely embarrassing. I had full intentions on thanking the person who broke my curse."

"Did noooot!" Vela replied, crossing her arms stubbornly, under the correct assumption that she'd finished her plate. "Well, were you simply going to go around people until you figured out who did it? I just saved you the trouble of that step, is all. Of course it was me, don't be ridiculous." Rolling her eyes again, Vela carefully stood, and made the familiar path to the bar, where she sat her plate down.

Lou rolled his eyes as he stood up and walked behind the bar, grabbing her plate on the way as he set them in the sink. "Of course I would have asked you, first. You're the first logical choice considering you're the only one who's talked to me and you were sleeping right beside me."

Shrugging with an indifferent expression, Vela walked back over to the couch. She hadn't run into a single piece of furniture. If she got used to her s urrounding like she had in here, things might be a bit easier to function with. Sitting on the couch once more, she let the warmth of the fire lick at her cold limbs, beckoning her to come nearer to it.

Louise chuckled and walked over to his 'nest', combining it with the soft comforters He had gathered to Vela. He paused, then grinned. "I'm going to go use a flushing toilet because I can!" he announced before marching off towards the bathroom.

Vela blinked at where his voice trailed off to. Did she need to know that? And weren't toilets that did not flush, simply places to do your business without permission? Shrugging the thoughts off, Vela sat comfortably, eyes closed peacefully. It was a meditative sort of image, with her hands folded in her lap, and face calm.

((No! You must sit on the doorstep! >:E
Kidding of course. Come right in!))
Several moments later, Lou stepped out with an expression that matched someone who had just climbed Mt. Everest. "Now, that's luxury." He murmured to himself before walking over to his improved nest in the middle of the floor in front of the fireplace and plopping into it.

Vela still had the indifferent sort of expression, having not much response to his odd actions. But, she did open her eyes to have heard him settle into his makeshift nest. "You know you can have a room, instead of inhabiting the floor all of the time?"

((Aww. Sleep well, Adonis!))
Lou stetched out on the pile of blankets and shrugged, "I'm hoping it'll piss you off." He teased, rolling over onto his side. "In all seriousness, Vela. I'm here because I've found it's kind of nice falling asleep to the sound of someone else's breathing for once." He murmured, smiling.
