Okay I just did some researach and from teh looks of it, which I didn't even know in the first place Jarlaxle is not an original character. He's a Forgotten Realms character almost to the T. If that weren't bad enough looking at everything he can do and all his qualifications, it's not fair to place him in this type of setting.
He's unstoppable. His eye patch will counter just about anything and he's prepared in every situation. He can go against anything at anytime and not lose. Where is this fair I ask you? Yes, you're playuing him correctly Az, I'll giv eyou that. But it smacks of poor taste to win with an unbeatable character.
It's like the child holdig the magnifying glass to burn the colony of ants. they can't win, and he just giggles at their pain. There is no way to stop him. By bringing down the Underdark, we'd kill us all. That is not our aim. Any rune Sevilin uses, Jarlalxe will ocunter becuase as stated above he is prepared for anything.
I'm sick of fighting a battle I physically cannot win. It doens't matter what I throw at you , it odesn't matter what Frac throws at you, you can counter and you bloody well KNEW you could counter everything when you started this 'battle to the death!' Now, concede gracefully Az. You've won, move on.
The Eye patch allows him to see what is 'there'.
I have won when Sevilin's body is cold and dead, and his soul is nicely kept within a charm I made specifically for the purpose of holding until sucha time as I place it in a magic sword.
Jarlaxle is a name I took from Forgotten realms. He is a mercanary leader of a band of Mercanaries that work as an inforation network within Menzobarrenzan, unti lhe decided to go on a vaccation with his budy Artimis Enteri. Jarlaxle has an eye patch that allows him to see certain things, and bracers that create magical daggers that can turn into long swords, He has a wide brimmed hat which has a feather in it that allows him to summon a big bird. He has a portable hole, and a few wands and other trinkets. When he wears a cloak, he wears one that is shimmering in colour, i forget what it actually does if it has even done anything yet. Jarlaxle is alive because he is to valuable to kill.
My Jarlaxle has Dominia Drow blood ((Masgic resistance based off age and experiance, levitation, globes of darkness, and faerie fire..))
My Jarlaxle lso has two cohorts, 630 drow soldiers, 30 o which are wizards.
Those wizards have useful spells, and war spells. One usefukl spell is called dimensional door. It allows them to connect two places and 'gate' creatures through, generally used for self travel, but it can be used to bring peopl to you. ((which is why I fake the teleport spell by creating a globe of darkness to conceal; the acr of the 'gate' opening underneath Jar/Tara.))
Kimmuriel is another stolen name. As is Tarathial.
Oh, Deafeat Jarlaxle by cchanging the environment so ghe cannot directly attack you. Drop the ceiling on him, cause the floor to rise, flood the area, windstyorms, natural lightnening storms ((magicc lbs don't hurt him)), use golems of the rock or similar material variety to attack him, which partially works depending on which wand Jar has on him.
He does not have a normal ranged weapon on him unless he knows he is goin to need it, but the hasnd crossbows only have a critical rang of abut sixty feet, with the lasst twenty being significanly weaker than the first ten.
Use earth elementals against him. The eath is animated and regenerates because the structure can continously draw more substance from the ground. Make a big one, or many smal ones.
Use magical nets or webs that cannot be cut by non-magical means.
