Tally sniffed and rubbed her chapped lips, "Team Aqua's a great place, I'm glad I joined, but...there are some things..." Tally rubbed poochyena's ears and smiled at Sammy.

Sammy's eyebrows shot up for a moment, as she spoke, "And those things would be....?" The rest of the sentence was left unfinished, and Sammy hoped Tally would fill it in. It was rare for her to hear anything but good hopes about members joining Aqua.

Tally looked away and sighed, "Nothing...just sometimes I wish I could find...nevermind," Tally laughed, moving jerkily with nervousness, "I guess I just need to wait a little longer till I decide if I like this place or not!"

"Well, I hope everyone's nice to you here!" Sammy snickered a bit as she said the next part, "If any of the dudes give you trouble, just slap them really quickly. It'll throw them COMPLETELY off. ^_^" For a moment, Sammy looked back on some memories. She then took a swift glance at her watch and began freaking out. "Holy son of a Nobel Prize winner! I've gotta go; bye!" She called quickly, running out through the teleporter. (And she was still in her PJs...)

Tally watched Sammy go, "...bye...?"

"Hey. It's Tally, right?" Cody asked politely as he walked into HQ. He walked up to the mission board and posted a group of papers that had been stapled together. On the front page he left a sticky note. It read: PLEASE READ!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

MISSION- A Fungus Among Us
There has been an out break of fungus and plants spreading everywhere! It seems to be coming from a greenhouse! Your mission is to stop it before it reaches Headquarters! (you will fight 4 greenhouse workers)

Pokemon:
Shroomish
Paras
Oddish

Funds: 500-1500
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cody had just gotten back from his journey to the volcano. He figured a training mission would be good for one of the new guys so he had invited Kai. They had traveled inside the volcano with Flygon, Dratini, and Claydol to search for gems that Cody had been researching. Apparently they were only found in places with high levels of heat and pressure, and where else would be better than a volcano? He trudged into the common room and plopped himself down on the couch. His pokemon were exhausted as well and were resting on the healing machine inside their pokeballs. Suddenly, he felt a vibration in his pocket. Cody mustered up enough strength to fish through his pocket and pulled out his TADS. He had just received a message from an unknown number. This was the number that had sent him all of his missions in text message form. He read it over quickly then read it aloud to himself.

It read:

MISSION- A Fungus Among Us
There has been an out break of fungus and plants spreading everywhere! It seems to be coming from a greenhouse! Your mission is to stop it before it reaches Headquarters! (you will fight 4 greenhouse workers)

Pokemon:
Shroomish
Paras
Oddish

Funds: 500-1500

“Awww. That means I have to get up,” Cody groaned. He grabbed his fire types plus Flygon and walked through the teleport pad that led to the beach. “It’s a long flight to Sinnoh. Do you think you can handle it? If not I can have Claydol teleport us. It’s no big deal really.” He asked after sending out Flygon. The pokemon shook its head and flapped its wings twice. “Alright then. Let’s hit the sky.” Cody said and hopped on Flygon’s back. The two took to the skies and were off like a rocket. Cody looked back and couldn’t even see Aquos Island anymore. He loved how fast Flygon could fly and the adrenaline that it sent flowing through his veins. “You can take a bunch of wimpy Grass Types right?” Cody asked Flygon. The pokemon nodded and roared into the night sky. He was ready for action. He was ready for adventure. He loved it just as much as Cody did. The two were becoming inseparable.

Soon, the two were flying over Floroma Town. Cody looked down to see weeds and mushrooms growing all over the once flower infested town. Flygon quickly landed and Cody hopped off, immediately looking around for the Floroma Flower Shop, hoping to get some answers. As the two got closer to the flower shop, he tripped over a mushroom, which turned out to be a pokemon. The wild Shroomish attacked with Absorb, not doing much damage, but catching Flygon off guard. The angered Dragon Type attacked with Dragonbreath, knocking the wild Shroomish back a couple feet. It managed to return the attack with Stun Spore, paralyzing Flygon on the spot. He came back with another Dragonbreath, careful not to KO the Grass Type. Cody saw the opportunity for a future Breloom and sent out a pokeball. The red and white ball flew through the air and hit Shroomish, immediately absorbing it in a red light and closing around it. The ball dropped to the ground and shook once. Twice. Three times. * bing * The pokemon was captured. Cody picked the pokeball up off the ground and put it in his backpack, not hoping to run across another wild pokemon. He continued into the Flower Shop, only to see its employees knocked out and lying on the floor. He and Flygon both rushed to separate people and tried to wake them. Cody smacked one of the employees in the face a couple times, but still nothing. He beckoned Flygon to his side and the two walked out of the shop. He turned around and looked above the tree line of Floroma Meadow. What he saw devastated him. A large green cloud of smoke was rising slowly above the trees and toward Eterna Forest. He wasn’t sure exactly what it was, but he knew it was polluting the air, and if it reached the forest, tons of pokemon could be hurt. The two took off together, flying above the smoke and tracing it to a large factory just outside the meadow. “Not cool,” was all Cody could say before Flygon started spiraling out of the sky. His wings stopped moving completely and Cody reacted as quickly as possible. He sent out Haunter. “Use Psychic! Stop Flygon from hitting the ground!” Cody jumped off and landed into a somersault, almost hitting a large rock protruding from the ground.

He looked up to see Haunter struggling with Flygon’s weight. His eyes weren’t just blue. They were glowing brightly in the night sky. Suddenly Haunter’s psychic grip on the pokemon had disappeared and they both started to fall from the sky. “Haunter! Get a hold of yourself buddy!” Cody shouted numerous times at the Ghost pokemon, but nothing seemed to work. A roar was heard behind the tree line and a Salamence appeared and caught Flygon on its back. “Nice one Richard,” Cody said as his friend appeared. It had been a while since he had seen his best friend. He remembered the help Richard had given him on “Down, but Not Out,” probably his favorite mission, though it was one of his hardest. Cody realized what had happened to Flygon and looked around for any other signs of life. He returned his two pokemon and sent out Vulpix. The Fire Type was happy to be out of her pokeball again. It had been a while since Cody had used most of his pokemon and he feared their battle skills were getting rusty. Suddenly, he saw a rustle of leaves in a tree not too far from him. Richard returned Salamence and sent out Milotic, who shot a huge burst of water at the rustling tree branches. Two men with white coats, a Breloom, and an Ariados fell out of the tree and landed on top of one another at the base. The two men got up, brushed themselves off, returned their pokemon, and ran toward the factory. “C’mon! Let’s follow them,” Cody told Richard. The two, along with their pokemon, took off after the workers. They chased them into the building and down a long corridor, finally ending up in a big room filled with drums of toxic material. “This must be what they have been using to make the fungi. That would also explain the outbreak of Shroomish in Floroma Town. Shroomish is a mushroom and mushrooms are a type of fungi,” Cody explained.

“Enough talk,” said one of the workers in a stuck up tone.
“Yeah,” said his partner as they both sent out their pokemon. Vulpix and Milotic stepped up to the challenge. Breloom launched his attack first. He quickly approached Milotic and nailed it with a powerful Mach Punch. That didn’t stop Milotic from returning with a Psychic attack, doing immense damage to the pokemon. Vulpix slowly built up a Flamethrower in her mouth before unleashing it upon Ariados, but with a String Shot attack, the spider pokemon was guaranteed an attack before its foe, come next turn. Breloom decided to turn its attention to Vulpix. The Grass-Fighting mix ran up to the fox and hit it hard with Dynamic Punch, doing a great amount of damage and sending it into an immediate daze. Milotic backed up the fox with another Psychic, KOing Breloom. Pissed, the worker returned his pokemon and stepped back from the battle. Ariados launched a Pin Missile at Milotic and hit it numerous times with the weak attack. Vulpix managed to send off a Fire Blast attack, finishing the spider. With both foes out of the way, it was time to move on. The workers retreated, and that meant backup was on the way.

They had a limited amount of time to stop the toxins from spreading any farther, but first, they had to find a working computer. Cody and Richard both Ran around the room franticly trying every computer they found until finally Richard shouted and Cody ran over to him. They both stood side by side and tried to comprehend the information they had found. Located on this computer was a map with blinking lights. Large clusters of the lights were around Floroma town and Goldenrod City. Suddenly the screen refreshed itself and more had appeared. Some had branched off of others and were moving rapidly toward other parts of the regions. Some had gotten bigger and had almost covered some of the cities. Cody started typing in random words and a message blinked on the screen. It read in big, bold, red letters: KEYCODE ERROR. The message continued flashing on the screen until it finally stopped. Cody typed in another random word and the message appeared again. He figured he would give it one last shot before completely giving up and handing it over to Richard. He typed in FUNGUS and a green box appeared. It read: KEYCODE ACCEPTED. Cody sighed in relief. Another message appeared in another green box. Apparently the green boxes were the good messages. This one read: PROCESS ON HOLD. RETRACTING TOXINS. He did a silent cheer and turned around to face Richard and gave him a high five.

Their mission was accomplished and they could return home. As the two approached the door, it slammed shut. Iron bars came together to form a cell door in front of their exit. The two were trapped. Richard sent out Salamence and Cody sent out Chimchar. “Alright guys, Flamethrower!” Richard said and pointed at the bars. A large burst of flames shot from both pokemon’s mouths and started to slowly eat away at the bars. Two more workers appeared from an adjacent corridor with a pokeball in hand. So much for Grass and Bug Types. One had a Donphan. The other, a Lairon. Both pokemon jumped into the air and formed two separate balls. Cody sent out his remaining pokemon, Quilava and Flareon. Quilava sent out an Eruption at Lairon, doing massive amounts of damage to the pokemon. Flareon dug underground and burrowed its way toward Donphan. Both foes launched themselves in Rollouts at Quilava. He managed to dodge Lairon, but Donphan hit him hard. The Fire Type came back with a Flame Wheel, KOing Lairon. Flareon emerged from the ground right under Donphan and sent it flying. The foe returned with another Rollout, hitting Quilava harder this time, KOing him as well. Flareon sent out Smog. As soon as the foe breathed it in, it was poisoned, but launched another Rollout at Flareon. The pokemon managed to dodge and send out a Fire Blast, almost KOing Donphan. After the poison took its toll though, the enemy was laying on the ground, KOed.

With the bars finally melted and the group able to escape, Richard put out a quick call to the local Floroma police department and Officer Jenny was there in a flash followed by the Jublife News crew. Cody and Richard agreed to an interview and stayed just a little bit longer. In the middle of a question the camera veered off focus of the two heroes and was stuck on the workers being stuffed into a paddy wagon. The group laughed together as the doors slammed in the defeated workers’ faces. Officer Jenny approached Cody slowly and said, “This factory will be closed down and quarantined until further notice. I can’t thank you enough for your help.” Cody just nodded and sent out Haunter who teleported them home. Once he knew he was in the HQ common room and away from everyone, he started to do a dance. “I’m gonna be on TV again! I’m gonna be on TV again!”

Sammy attempted to rub the tiredness out of her eyes, but to no accomplishment. "Hiya everyone!..." She called in the most energetic way she could muster. Her feet immediatley dragged her to the couch, plopping her on.

Tally turned at the sound of her name and blinked, "What?"

Evening Aquans...

"Evening" Ginji smiled as he walked into the HQ from the Greenhouse. He was defeated, but he also had great news. "I finished the GS Ball!" He announced to anyone who was listening. "Now, for a way to recapture Darkrai."

"Recapture?" Cody asked quickly as he walked into the common room. "What the hell did I miss?"

Sammy trudged in, two large black circles under her eyes. She had gone to Slateport to spend some time with her family; what a foolish idea. But, for the sake of conversation, she perked up. "Hi Aquans!" She used all of the cheeriness she could muster, and that was just enough to pull it off.

"Oh, nothing much, just a wedding that housed Shaymin that was then stolen by Maddy and Team Shadow. Darkrai's Pokeball exploded and Maddy overtook Team Shadow, and their former leader is around here somewhere..." Ginji trailed off as he looked around as he found the lady unconcious on the couch. "Ah, there she is."

Theresa stirred slightly. She opened her eyes, not that it mattered. Despite the thick, dark purple strip of silk tied around her head to cover her blind eyes, all she could see was a white emptiness. She sat up and tried to gather her thoughts on where she was. The minds in this area were foreign to her. She turned her head, looking for someone. She spotted a dark blue figure nearby, and where its heart would be was a shining gold light. She smiled lightly, even though she did not recognize this aura. "Excuse me, but who are you? We haven't met..."

Maddy sat at a desk, fumbling around with a little sphere-shaped mechanism. There were many sheets of paper laid out in front of her, all with various chemical formulas and sketches. The only source of light was a small lamp, and it's light was starting to fade. Maddy looked up as there was a knock at the door and someone entered her room, light from the hallway flooding into the dark space. She glared at the man standing in the doorway. He was wearing a lab coat and looked a bit nervous at the look on her face. "Yes?"
"The virus is ready. Please make your way to the main lab."
Maddy stood up and left the room.

Ginji's attention was off guard as Theresa woke. "You're awake, I thought you would never get up." he joked slightly as he rushed to her couch-side. "Is everything feeling okay?" he asked before addressing her real question. "My full name is Ginji Takahashi, but feel free to call me Ginji. You're on Aquos Island inside the Headquarters of Team Aqua." Ginji explained as he then quickly got up and grabbed a glass of water.

"Are you thirsty?" he asked as he returned, treating their 'guest' with the upmost respect.
