"Well I bought plenty so we, and I mean we, could find out what's best," Corinne said, gesturing to the bags while her still swinging braid undid itself and her hair straightened out and lightened slightly before shortening up a bit so it came to rest at her shoulders. Turning back to Richard she replaced the glasses over her now green eyes. "I need to know what you think on these things," she said softly, not noticing that she had gotten and inch or two taller.

Lou blinked at her, then got to his feet. "I won't fit that well." He warned, pulling his fuzzy body beside her. He took the offered corner of blanket and laid it awkwardly over his lap. It only stetched halfway over his wide hips, but it was oddly warming. "Thank you." He said sincerely, staring into the fire.

Vela felt the odd tug in a direction that she hadn't expected, and moved the blanket to lay across her lap. This way, both had an adequate amount draped across their legs. Vela had enough room to stretch her legs out flat under the width of the blanket. Laying her back against the couch behind them, she looked up at the ceiling, head lolled back slightly. "You're welcome."

"Vela..." Louise began, his feet sticking out from under the blanket. "I have a question. You don't have to answer it if you don't want to because it's sort of personal." He began, fingering the comforter between the pads of his paws. "Who are you fighting for?"

Richard looked over the bags, but was then transfixed by Corinne's changing hair. "...whatever for?" He inquired, eyes widening to find her's green now. She wasn't saying any incantations, and he was very much impressed. "Perhaps I'd like a seven hundred foot tall lizard with garlic breath..." He said with a grin. "But alright...'we' it is." He said, leaning down to kiss her forehead, standing straight up again. He had completely forgotten the letter, and it's news.

"My sister, and her family. I fight to keep them away from what I see... Saw every day." Vela's spine tingled a little bit, hearing her voice, so simple yet so .. undemanding. It was comforting a little bit. Drawing her knees to her chin again, settling like this, she looked to the warmth she recognized as the fire.

Corinne hugged Richard tightly, placing her face in his chest. "It's important to me," she said softly before pulling back and smiling at him. "So how was your day Richard?" she asked cheerfully, walking over to retrieve her bags and move them to where they would be out of the way but she wouldn't forget them later.

((Gotta go.)) "Oh...fine." He said, still watching her. "But I have to go out for a bit..."

Lou looked back to her, "A very noble thing to fight for. It's hard to find truly devoted siblings, these days." He locked in on her eyes and ventured, "Do you think your eyesight will come back?" He asked, "It seems such a pity on such... beautiful eyes." He murmured, instantly regretting it. He brought his paws up to his face and moaned, "I'm sorry, I don't want it to sound like I'm hitting on you." Lou may have looked like something ferocious, but his actions were so humanoid that it was sometimes extremely easy to look past it all.

If his tone had been just a bit more smooth and practiced when he had made the comment about her eyes, Vela might have thought him actually hitting on her. But, she could hear the regret when a limb had moved upwards to his face. Clasping her own hand up, Vela actually let a small laugh escape. She turned a light pink color, shaking her head a little bit. "Apology accepted. I don't know if my sight is coming back." she explained, veering away from the subject of his normalities.

"Alright," Corinne said, leaning up to kiss him. "I'll just take this upstairs then." Carefully grabbing the bags, she made her way upstairs and began neatly putting them away in Richard's room.

Had Lou eyebrows, he would have arched one. "I'm sorry, hold on one second." He said, leaning to the side, "Was that a laugh I heard from the Ice Princess?" He asked, quite obviously toying with her. "So, why are you being so nice to me, anyway? Correct me if I'm wrong, but you don't seem the type to share conversations or blankies." The term 'blankies' in his deep gravely voice must have been humorous in itself.

Vela sneered in return, not wanting to anty up to the fact that she had indeed failed to suppress her laugh. "I am not that type of person at all, ever." Vela said, matter-of-factly. Arms wrapped around her legs, she gave a small nod. "You were honest, and told me what no one else would. You weren't sympathetic, you just told me how it was. I didn't expect it, and now I'm saying a whole bunch of things that I don't expect to say."

"So..." Lou began, setting his front paws in his lap where they were more comfortable. "Is this your way of saying 'thank you'?" He asked, feeling apreciation well up inside of him, "Because, if it is... You're welcome." He added, attempting a smile. He lowered his lips, glad she couldn't see it. It was quite hideous and would have frightened small children and some species of birds. "I'm really glad I decided to stay here. Thanks... For listening to me b***h all night."

Vela nodded in agreement, wondering why they were suddenly exchanging so many thank yous and you're welcomes in such an amount of time as it had been. Shrugging the thought off, she let her eyes rest on a spot aways away, though she did not know what in fact she was looking at. "Glad for staying here? I am glad you have, too."
