"Tch," Demyx said when Cory spoke up at the end of the communication. He didn't bother keeping his voice down, but he didn't exactly raise it either. "Takes one to know one." Demyx remembered how Cory had tried to get him and Sïax to team up to recover their hearts*. Unfortunately, Demyx was very well aware of how that had turned out, resulting in the deaths of both Cory and Saïx. Obviously death wasn't permanent for Cory, but that didn't mean Demyx had to be nice to the guy.

Bobbi grinned a little at Demyx taking the words right out of her mouth. She didn't have much time to be amused, though, as Dani pretty much exploded and summoned her weapons. Immediately, Bobbi turned around and started to interpose herself between the younger girl and Cory. Being right next to the girl, Bobbi was probably in the best position to tackle her to the ground if she decided to charge.

Of course Cory's still being asinine, she thought with a grimace. Someone needs to beat some sense into his thick skull.

[Kichi :: Hawaii :: Alien Ship]

Kichi listened to the explanation, and watched this go on, knowing he was neither quick witted enough, nor knowledgable enough to engage in the discussion. And when it was over, who was introduced other than Cory. What did that b*****d want now? Didn't matter.

Dani stepped up and started yelling at him. Kichi moved next to her, and in front of Cory, ignoring his words. "Watch it Dani, as bad news as this guy always is...we shouldn't lose our cool." He glared at Cory, momentarily, before looking to the grand councilwoman. "This Ranger is no good guy. He has harmed our members to the point of near death on multiple occasions, and has no concept of anything but what he wants, and how to get it. My recommendation is to have him off and away from this ship, on better yet, contained in your strongest imprisonment cell." He looked to back to Cory now, before saying. "Unless you want that to happen, leave now, and don't bother us again. I'm not forgiving you. Every time ANY of us think you're doing any good, you always turn around and show us once more that you're an untrustable piece of crud, whether it be by betrayal, physical attacks, or even attempts to kill us."

After that, without pause, he looked to the Gran Councilwoman. "I won't fight him while on your ship, the situation at hand needs more attention anyways." With a glance at the communications monitor. "Grand Councilwoman, it sounds like that man will refuse to give in. The only solution I can think of, which I still don't like, would be to tell him we will allow him to try to extract it ONLY if he helps get all the islands citizens to safety, calls a ceasefire for ALL his troops unless personally attacked, and contributes to finding a safe way to remove his desired energy, whatever it is. We do not care for the energy ourselves, only for the people his actions will harm if he continues along his hot-headed path. I don't like the prospect of entering into a bargain with him...but it's the quickest way to ensure the islander's safety with any reliability whatsoever." he let her respond, thinking to himself, 'As much as I'd love to pilot a zord, these people come first.'

[ Riku ; Cloud ; Seymour ; Grand Council Woman : Hawaii: Central Command ]

The Grand Councilwoman remained silent in her position, though her look of shock quickly transitioned to one of deep contemplation. She leaned forward in her chair (which was facing away from the group), propped her arms up and gently connected her fingers as she stared forward.

The moment Dani had drawn her weapon, the guards in the room seemed to jolt, unsure of what to do. Instinctively, the drew their own alien guns and, without any true target, pointed them at the group as a whole. They were quickly encompassed, and though Jon was allowed to speak, he was not allowed to actually near the Grand Councilwoman.

As Cory walked toward Riku, the Keyblade Master didn't seem to tense or to even worry. If anything, he treated Cory with mild annoyance. "If I could still smell the Darkness in people's hearts-," he began, narrowing his eyes at the ronin as he recalled the backfiring of Ansem's data machine, "- don't you think I would have known the difference between Rachel and her replica back at Beast's Castle?"

Without warning, the Grand Councilwoman once again turned her chair and stood up; her features were taught and her eyes were narrowed in anger.

"I understand you are willing to help, but I am quite capable of making decisions for thousands of people on my own, as I have been doing for most of my adult life," she snapped, as though the very suggestion was meant to insinuate her inability to consider the consequences of her decisions. "As for you lot, if this is how you work together toward the same goal, then I might as well lock all of you up. We do not have the time for fighting amongst ourselves like children!"

"If this man is here to help me take care of the thousands of people under my protection, then I will accept his help just as quickly as accepted yours," she continued. She then glared toward Cory. "However, if I have to choose either a large group of Rangers or just you, I will choose them. I suggest you all figure this out before evacuations-"

"Forgive my interruption, but evacuation really is not an option if it is on Archadian terms," Seymour said, finally speaking up. "Their 'refugees' are treated as no more than slaves and servants, and if the rumors I've heard of the Empire's scientific research are true, then they'll be just as likely to be used as test subjects for all manner of warfare."

"I... was afraid of that, but there are no other options. Our police cruisers are not meant for heavy warfare, and even with each of your Zords," she began, shaking her head as her voice trailed off.

"Might I suggest we double our count?" he said, glancing to Jon and Bobbi with a small smile. "After all, consider why you are a Ranger to begin with."

"You mean contact the other Earthlings?" Riku asked, raising a brow. "They may not be able to help us, and even if they could, how would they get here?"

"Well, Demyx can open a Corridor, can he not?" Seymour asked, motioning toward the Melodious Nocturne. without ever glancing at him; Seymour knew exactly where to point, even though he never watched the Nobody try to inch away. "It cannot hurt to try. Contact them, and if they're not immediately busy, we can transport them over here to aid us. We stand a better chance united than alone, no?"

"Is that possible?" the Grand Councilwoman asked, glancing to the Rangers, her tone carrying a sense of urgency. "Can you contact them?"

[Cory .:. Hawaii .:. Central Command]

"Don't worry, ma'am, there will be no objections on my part. I'm quite used to working with people who don't like or trust me."

The rogue moved away from the group and stood at semi-attention with his hands in his pockets, not bothering to respond to any of their comments. There's no way I'd be able to say anything that wouldn't offend them. Better to just keep quiet for now.

[ Kyle ; Sora : Shipwreck Cove : Docks ; Balcony ]

After reaching the surface and getting himself out of the water, his sphere changed immediately back to his dry clothing. It happened so seamlessly he rarely ever gave it notice these days. Still, it was nice to not be totally naked. Glancing around, he didn't see anyone- and apparently, Dawn had wandered off.

'I wonder where Anthony and Jenny are...?' He thought to himself as he looked upward. That's when he spotted Dawn, Noelle, and Sora. He snapped his fingers, remember the tour and figuring they had probably gone on it. Noticing the ledge nearby (the same Dawn had just held on to), Kyle tried to approximate its height.

Maybe four stories, a bit of an odd angle from the ground, means I'll need to push myself forward just a bit...

Kneeling down onto the dock, he charged his legs with as much energy as he figured he needed. With a small flash, he was soaring through the air, headed directly for the ledge with his arms outstretched. With just that leap and the built up momentum, he was able to grab on to the balcony railing and flip himself over just a few feet away from the other three.

"Hi," he said with a small wave

Sora frowned in confusion. That was... fun? After a moment to explain herself, Sora's frown straightened out into more of a dull stare; without warning, he lifted his hand and gave her a flick on the forehead. He gave no explanation for it.

"We were actually about to start gathering everyone to split up," he responded, cheering up somewhat now that the topic had changed. "Louis and Sayrike are back down the hallway a bit, and I saw Michelle, Kyle, Joe, and Jacob down below... you wouldn't happen to know where the others are, would you? Or--"

It was at that point that Kyle popped over the railing and gave a wave. Unfazed by this appearance so shortly after the other, Sora merely waved back. "We're trying to get everyone together so we can leave."

"Same," Kyle replied, glancing behind Sora and noticing Sayrike and Louis back on a bench a dozen or so meters away. "No idea where Jenny or Anthony is, though."

[[Louis : Shipwreck Cove]]

"I'm not sure..." Louis replied with his voice sounding rather disinterested, "It just sorta happened around the time these other lands merged with ours."

Louis shook his head, "You don't really get the concept of, one question at a time, do you?" He sighed and conceited defeat, "I didn't know much of anything about magic aside from basic weaving of the mist. Nothing like this though."

"What about you?"

{Leon : Hawaii : Central Command}

Leon had been waiting for a response, though he had noted the nod that said she had heard him at least. There were just a lot of questions being fired off at once, on top of the overall tense situation. Then things became even more complicated by the reappearance of the Earthling known as Cory, as well as the communications with the man named Ghis. He remained silent as he listened to their attempts at negotiation. However, it seemed that things were not going to go their way.

He continued to remain silent as he listened to the suggestions of the Earthlings and the others present, as well as the counters from the Councilwoman. He could tell before the decision had officially been reached that they were going to have to fight. Contacting the other group of Earthlings seemed like a very good idea to the gunblader. They were going to be outnumbered the way things were now, the more help they could get the better. He trusted that Mickey would not let them down, and that the airship fleet would arrive in time.

The course of action settled, his attention turned to the situation regarding Cory. He remembered him from their previous encounter when he had kidnapped Kyla. It was fairly obvious that there was still quite a bit of anger towards the ronin for this group alone, and he imagined that it would be much better with the other group. Still though, if it meant being able to fight off this Archadian Empire, he had no choice but to cooperate with him.

"Alright, it's settled then, get in contact with the other Earthlings immediately and make sure you're well prepared. Looks like this is going to be an all-out war," the gunblader stated. In his eyes there was an intensity that could almost be felt to anyone who stared into them. The lion inside was no longer sleeping.

[Noelle ~ Shipwreck Cove ~ Balcony]

“Well, we were just about to—ohey.”

Noelle began to tell Dawn about getting everyone together when Kyle showed up as well. He popped over the railing in a different manner than Dawn, but it was still via the balcony. Not sure what the deal was with air travel, the blonde waved over to him, extending her full arm over her head to shake her hand back and forth. This was more of a habit than anything—she sometimes stuck her arm up to wave at people when around others so she wouldn’t be left unnoticed in the crowd of taller people. When Dawn called out over the charms she heard her voice but didn’t see her mouth move.

“Problem solved then?” The agromancer said, pointing down to the docks, “Now the question is, can you both get down the way you got up? Oh, and can I hitch a ride?”
