By the time they find the clearing Tam was looking for, it is already dusk, so he sends the cub off to look for firewood while he pitches the tent. They are quite close to the falls and the sound of the rushing water drowns out most of the other night noises.

*Kero soon returns, dragging a dozen branches by his tail...he sets these by the firepit Tam has built, then grabs kindling and tinder, setting them up in a teepee like shape...he keeps feeding the fire, calling Thyrion to sleep in it when it is big enough to accomodate him*

Tam nods and places theyr bed rolls beneath the tent, which is really little more than a large piece of canvas stretched out to keep the dew off them while they sleep. Then he joins Kero by the fire and stretches out leaning against a large rock that formed a nice back rest.

Knowing that he has his back to solid stone, Tam jumps to his feet with a start, turning to stare at the rock. "What the heck..." he says in confusion.

Tam shakes his head and sits back down, after moving the caterpillar that is. He places it on a nearby bush and chuckles softly. "Yeah, guess I am. Deep inside I keep waiting for the boogie man to jump out at me." He gives Kero a wink and once gain relaxes by the fire.

*Deciding to test something he had read...Kero uses empathy to call an illusion of the bogeyman to jump out behind a bush*

Tam instantly assumes a fighting stance and blasts the illusion with a set spell. It is only as he sees the bush burning merrily away and no trace of a monster, he begins to realize what Kero had done.
"Kerobian..." he says in a quiet voice. "Are you really out to make me grey?"

Tams tells a tale of a gift sent to an older couple back during the days of conquest in India. It was a monkey;s paw that was said to grant three wishes. So the first thing the man wishes for is 200 pounds, later that day their son dies in a horrible accident and they receive 200 pounds as compensation.
About a week later, the wife decides to make their 2nd wish and wishes for their son to be brought back to life. After a bit there is a knocking on the door. While the wife is struggling with the locks to let him in, the husband realizes that they cannot do so as the lad was horribly mutilated in the accident and has been dead for over a week. So he makes his third wish and when she opens the door no one is there.
