Meatball, I believe you already told us that The Maze Runner comes out the same day as Mockingjay. And, I'm sorry to say, I still have not read either The Maze Runner or The Hunger Games Series.

LIVE, LOVE, LAUGH Sorry for being out the last few weeks, I'm on vacation/visiting family (: Have you guys gone anywhere this summer? I'm in Taiwan for another week.
Ahh I really want to read The Tales of Beedle the Bard, but never got around to it. Was it good?
Kineka: Yeah, save as works wonderfully to turn your avi into a picture. There's also printscreen, but that's mostly if you want to put it on/next to something else.
I think school dances--homecoming, tolo, etc.--aren't as fun as the parties before and after :/ My group of friends are quite tame--no drugs or alcohol, so nothing wild, but there's still a lot of fun to be had as a big group party. The dances themselves get sort of boring after an hour, because it's just loud music and jumping up and down while pretending you have dancing skills...

Ohh that sounds like fun! How's it going? I'd love to leave the country for vacation...at least, more so than just to Canada. But, no, I haven't gone anywhere this summer. The most I've done is go to Shop-Ko about 45 minutes from my house.
I thought it was pretty good, but I also haven't read it in a while, so I've kind of forgotten some of the fairy tales. But, I finished it in a day, so I think that's proof that I liked it...even though it isn't that long, so I probably could've finished it in a day anyway...but, I'm rambling, sorry xD.
Yeah, I have it on my computer now, but I don't have Photoshop anymore because ever since my hard drive crashed a few months ago, I haven't gotten around to getting it back on. Plus, my step-dad has the whole program, but it can only go on one computer as far as I know, and since he supposedly needs it on his, I can't have it on mine until I buy it myself. What's printscreen?
Tolo? o.O Haha I guess parties would be more fun than the actual dances, but to tell ya the truth, I don't like either one. I'm not a social butterfly, I'd rather stay at home...or go out with my mom...or alone. Yeah, that's exactly what I think about dances. Although, I went to one in seventh grade and it was kinda fun once my friends dragged me out on the dancefloor to dance to...I think Fergalicious...which they knew was my favorite song at the time. But, I can see where it would get a little boring doing the same thing over and over again.
Ya know, don't you just love when people who can't even type legibly start arguing with you over comments on YouTube, then when you stop replying, they go and tell other people that you're prissy/stupid/a twit? Argh...I really don't like people sometimes...

Oh my goodness I heard the most astounding lie today, (well to me its a lie). So class hadn't started yet so the people around me started talking. [there are 3 girls in total in this conversation and me just watching and listening (mainly) in shock and disbelief] One girl said she was going to Disney World in May. A second girl asked if she was going to the Potter Park. The third girl said that she shouldn't. The third girl was like the rides are bad and boring and I was waiting two hours to get in. She even admitted to not entering the shops. I was thinking oh my gosh what is wrong with you?!?!?! She also said she didnt like Harry Potter but didnt hate it, well everyone can have their own opinion but don't complain about one of the most awesome things in the world in front of a huge fan. I was put into like a short shock. I totally don't believe her whatsoever and Im hoping to go on all the awesome rides, explore the shops, and embrace Hogwarts in Disney soon.
EDIT: tazurya (i hope i spelled your user correctly) I really enjoyed the tales of Beetle the Bard, I own it too. I thought the stories were cute and enjoyed the commentaries and explanations.

Wow...I haven't posted in almost two weeks. I've been soooo busy these past two weeks. I've had marching band and tennis everyday pretty much. Last week, I would get up, go to tennis for three hours, then go home, change, grab a sandwich for lunch, then go to marching band for seven hours. Then I'd come home shower and go to bed then repeat it all the next day. So I did end up making varsity tennis. Only one girl officially got cut because 3 or 4 girls trying out ended up quitting by the third day of tryouts. We've had uniform problems for both tennis and marching band. My tennis dress is too large for me so I'm having it taken in right now, and the marching band uniform we're all supposed to have for colorguard still isn't in yet, and so we're stuck wearing the old ones, which I don't mind because I like them a lot better than the ones we're supposed to have.
I still have read Maze Runner or the Hunger Games but thankfully I have a friend who owns both the Maze Runner and the Hunger Games series so I can always borrow them from her. Right now I'm reading Gregor the Overlander and it's pretty good. It's definitely geared more towards younger kids, like pre-teens, but I still like it.
Honestly, I don't think my family knows the definition of vacation anymore. We haven't gone on vacation since we went to Florida, and that was like, 8 or 9 years ago. I don't exactly count my grandma's house because we go to her house a lot during the year. My summer has basically been dance, tennis, and marching band for the most part. How's Taiwan?
I love Tales Of Beedle the Bard. It's definitely a book where you can sit down and finish it in only a couple of hours. It's a really easy read, and the fairy tales are really good.
Yeah, I've decided that I won't go to homecoming this year. I mean, if a guy asks me, then I might consider it, but I can't really afford it so my friends and I have started planning a sleepover/Avatar: The Last Airbender marathon with lots of awesome food. And after the first hour or so, the dances get pretty old. Plus the only sort of concession that my school sells during the dances is water. That's super lame.
I still can't believe that I start school this week. I got my schedule last week, and so far I've found lots of people that I know in most of my classes, so I'm really excited about that. I'm also looking forward to all my classes this year. A lot of my classes this year are honors/AP but I'm really excited for them because they're classes that I've wanted to take since freshman year.
Well, it's after 10:00 pm here, so I'd better end it here cuz I gotta shower and get to bed cuz I have to get up early tomorrow morning. Hope school's going well for everyone (assuming you've started, and if you haven't, then good luck on your first day!)

LIVE, LOVE, LAUGHLots of good food (: Street vendors, as scary and not-quite-sanitary as their food is, have great stuff :3 I’m back in Seattle now, though, and there’s massive jetlag going on D: It’s nearly 1AM now hahah. Though to be honest sometimes I’m up then because of homework+procrastination (mostly the latter…)
I’m not sure about macs but pc keyboards have a key that say “prnt scrn” (sometimes the same key has “sysrq”—system recover—on it also) which, when you push it, will take a screenshot of the page. If you then do ctrl+v or paste onto paint (or a word document…or anything that will take an image) you’ll see what was on your computer screen when you took the screenshot. Useful if you want to show someone else what you’re seeing on your monitor. Arguing online is actually kind of fun XD As long as you don’t get too into it yourself, it’s lots of fun to make other people angry heheh.
Oh in high school tolo was the girl-ask-guy dance…like…Sadie Hawkins (?) dance I believe.
A little bit of dyslexia there, vballvr5, but you tried XD I’m sorry you had to hear such horrible words from a nonbeliever ): There are people out there who just don’t understand the joys of Harry Potter.
Congrats on tennis, Jedi (: Wow you started school already? It seems so fast…wahh, summer, last longer…

XD sorry turayza I attempted (I got it that time xp )
I'm not enjoying my math class very much. Actually I don't like it at all and I don't like my teacher either. On the bright side I love my English class AND my English teacher she's the best.
Some other good news for me is I almost have enough for the cosplay soquili I've been wanting. =D
Oh and more bad news. I think I'm getting sick. I'm hoping its just a cold but you never know. I don't get sick very often so I'm hoping its just a cold.
xd today I left my cell phone at the library. Luckily someone called me and the librarian picked it up and then the person that called went and got it for me. I feel really dumb because I just left it on the table I was sitting at and when i turned around to push my chait in I should have seen it, oh well.

Turayza: Taiwan sounds like it was lots of fun.
At my school, we call the dance the Turnabout Dance (girl asks guy), but we stopped it so it's just the winter dance now. I still don't go because it's a waste of money and I have much better things to do.
Vball: I hope you feel better soon. I'm hoping that I don't get a cold because when I get colds, they're really bad, and with everything I have going on, can't risk getting sick.
My favorite class and teacher right now is Honors Earth Science. My teacher for that class is actually my friend's mom. I've known him since I was in kindergarten, so my mom knows my teacher pretty well, and so I know her also, which is sort of weird, because we have conversations about my brother, and her kids, because I also know her other two kids. But she's a really good teacher, and I absolutely love Earth Science. My next favorite class and teacher is Accelerated Honors English 3. I struggle with that class, and it's challenging, but that's what makes it fun sort of. Mostly I like it because I have a lot of friends in that class. My english teacher seems sort of strict, but she's super nice.
Yep. I started school a couple of days ago. I love all of my classes (except for Interior Design) and I love all of my teachers (except my Pre-calculus teacher). Though there is a downside. I've had loads of homework, and I've only had three days of school. After my mom dropped me off at marching band yesterday, she weighed my backpack and said it weighed 20 pounds. That's crazy. On the first day of school, I was actually up until 11:00 doing homework, and I didn't even finish all of it. Then yesterday, I would have been up til midnight or later, except I only did part of my Earth Science homework and fell asleep. I still had a bit of Earth Science left, and I also had Pre-calculus, Interior Design, and English homework. So I just did all of it at school today. The reason I would have been up so late was because I had a tennis match right after school yesterday, and then I went straight to marching band practice after I got back from tennis. By the time I got home and showered, it was 9:45 at night. And tomorrow I have an all day tennis tournament. Woohoo.
Only three days of school and I'm already starting to have mental breakdowns on a daily basis. Most of it stems from the fact that I just moved up to the Accelerated Honors English 3 class this year (I was in regular Honors English the past two years), and I had teachers who literally taught me nothing to prepare me for this class. My freshman english teacher taught me a lot, but my english teacher sophomore year taught me absolutely nothing useful for any future english class. So when they talk about things and I don't understand it, I feel really-for lack of a better word-stupid. Because we'll do some reading for homework, and answer questions then in class we'll discuss it and I can never participate in any of the discussions because I don't understand what we read or what we were supposed to get out of it because I've had not so great english teachers. And all my friends keep telling me that I'll do fine; that it just takes some adjusting, and I'm smart enough for it, and I shouldn't drop out of it, but right now I don't feel smart in that class, and I want to take it, but I also really want to drop it, but I can't because it's too late to drop a first semester course and then it would screw up my whole schedule. I also dropped Honors Pre-calculus because I knew it would be waaay to hard and I wouldn't be able to handle it so now I'm in regular Pre-calculus, and I still find that hard. In fact I find Honors Algebra 2 to be easier than what I'm doing in math right now, but I know that if I were in honors right now, I'd be failing that class. And Earth Science is fun and all (by far my favorite class) but I get a lot of homework for it so it's time consuming homework. I'm sorry that I just went into a total rant there, but I really needed to say that. I just needed to get it all out and tell someone who isn't one of my best friends because they'll just tell me that it's all in my head and that I don't really feel like that-it's just stress and whatever, and I'll be fine eventually. I just really needed to get that out.

For a little change of pace, I've been writing in green in my other posts =). And so sorry for the late reply. I read all the posts, but I completely forgot I didn't reply to them xD.
Turayza: Aw, I'm sorry you're jet lagged. But, at least you had fun. It sounds like it was a lot of fun. Ew, homework. I procrastinate too, you're not alone xP.
Oh, I never knew that! Thanks for the info!
Yeah, Sadie Hawkins dances are when the girl asks the guy. I couldn't do that, though. I'm too shy and horrible with words, especially with people I've never met.
Vballlvr5: (From your post after my last one): Well, believe it or not, some people don't like Harry Potter. And she is apparently one of those people. It's her opinion. Just because she said she didn't like it doesn't mean it's a lie. Did she even know you were a fan? If not, she didn't know she was dissing it right in front of a huge fan. I know this may sound a bit mean, but it's a free country, people can like or dislike whatever they want. What other people say shouldn't stop you from going to a place you really wanna go to. After you go, you can give your own opinion. Everyone's different and everyone will like different things. You can't go by what other people say because your views WILL be different.
I hope you feel better, though! And begin to like your classes more...maybe. And this is probably way late...sorry xD. I haven't started yet, so I don't know how my classes are going to be. But, I'm repeating a lot of my teachers and classrooms, so at least some of it will be familiar. What's a cosplay soquili? o.O. Well, at least you got your phone back, right?
Jedi: Ew. Tennis for three hours and marching band for seven hours? It seems like too much. At least to me anyway. Congrats on making varsity! I hope your dress code infractions get straightened out =).
I just got Mockingjay on Saturday. Now I just need to read the first two...xP. I have all of them, so I can read them whenever I want. But the cashier who checked me out said Mockingjay was a great book and that he just finished it that morning. Hm. Gregor and the Overlander is good? It's on my To Read list, but I wasn't sure if it was more of a kids book or not, even though it is in the kids section.
Aw, I'm sorry you don't get many vacations. I don't either, though. Mostly because of the money or because my parents can't get off of work. But, you like dance, tennis, and marching band, right? If you like it, it sounds like your summer would be pretty fun, if not a little tiring.
Have fun at your anti-Homecoming party! Haha that's what my friends call parties you have instead of going to homecoming. Just water? That's dumb. But, you have to stay hydrated...maybe that's their motivation.
Earth Science sounds like a nice class. I won't have room to take Earth Science (or Environmental Science at my school) because of all the Bio, Chem, Physics, and Calc I have to take my senior year. Challenging classes are kind of nice, but not too challenging. Like AP World was too challenging for me and I got frustrated with it.
Why don't you like Interior Design? Woah, twenty pounds?! In the first three days? Well, for honors/AP classes, I can see you getting a lot of homework right away, but that seems ridiculus. Wow...don't burn yourself out, okay? It's healthy to relax a little bit...
There's Honors and Accelerated Honors English classes? What's that, like smart and really smart classes? Well, technically it's not your fault that you don't understand it, it's the teacher's. If you had bad teachers, how are you SUPPOSED to understand something? Okay, I honestly think you're pushing yourself too hard. Maybe that's why your classes don't seem to be easy to get through. But, you have to remember, these are honors/AP classes. They're not going to be easy. I felt the exact same way with AP World, and I passed with a C by the end of the year (which, for a sophomore taking the hardest AP class offered at my school, that's pretty dang good). Don't expect absolutely perfect grades in all these challenging classes. Just know that you're doing the best you can. And just the fact that you're not failing should be an accomplishment. Think if you were just one of those kids with an average intelligence, forced to take those classes. THEN you'd be failing. Well, it's fine to rant, that's what we're here for =). But, your friends are right, you will be fine. Not perfect, but fine nonetheless. Besides, with all this stuff you're doing, your year will probably go by pretty fast.

I'm a huge procrastinator too wwhich is not great when it comes to homework but....
Jedi: Ya when I get colds I feel terrible. my throat is feeling sort of better but not much.
Kineka: Haha I know some people arent fans but it was just kind of annoying becuase even though I dont think she knew I was a fan the girl sitting on her other side was and she knew that. It just bothered me.
Luckily I did get my phone back, thank goodness. A soquili is horse breedable/changing pet on gaia.
EDIT: Im so annoyed with myself. I got a 79 on my first math test crying (got it back today) I could have gotten a B if I hadnt done 4 stupid simple errors sweatdrop gah! Im so annoyed. stressed scream

LIVE, LOVE, LAUGHAlright. To those of you in school: ahahah I still have two weeks of break razz Alright I’m done.
Whoo don’t stress about school too much! I know we’re all Ravenclaws in here, but when a class is damaging your (mental?) health, you have to breathe a little and take a break. A lot of times the only thing you can do is talk to the teacher—most of them are surprisingly helpful (:
I didn’t like Gregor the Overlander, though I only read the first two. They were decent…if I was in middle school. Great author, but sometimes it’s hard to read books targeted at a younger age group.
Gawd I hate making stupid mistakes on math exams, but it happens all the time D: Don’t feel too bad—it’s one test out of many. More practice generally means less mistakes, even though math is poop.
I had the first day of cross country practice (that I went to lulz) today, and I feel like a blob of lactic acid…time trials are tomorrow, but I haven’t run in a long time and so now I have giant blisters o__O

Sorry about the double post, but nobody has posted since, and I just finished Mockingbird and wanted to review razz
Spoilers ahead!
I have to say that I was a little disappointed. The target audience of the book is definitely middle school, but The Hunger Games and Chasing Fire were both action- and drama-packed stories where the pace moved extremely quickly and the reader was positively overwhelmed by the story. Mockingbird took a completely different tone...I feel like Suzanne Collins was trying to show that Katniss, the main character, had matured...but throughout the whole book Katniss was just depressed/lost with sporadic bursts of anger or fear. It rather reminded me of the third book in the Twilight series, where Meyers decides it'd be very dramatic to have a bunch of empty chapters. Yay.
The action picks up a little bit near the end, but after all the drama it is very anticlimatic when Katniss breaks out of her fuzz to kill the wrong President, and then *poof* she's married to semi-insane "hijacked" Peeta and they have kids. The ending was definitely wtf for me, and I was left totally bewildered as I turned over the last page.
Mockingbird, in my opinion, was not nearly as good as the first two of the Hunger Games trilogy, and I was disappointed by the lackluster ending. Collins remains a very talented author, though, and I hope she publishes more books (:

I dunno if I told you guys yet, but I've started Percy Jackson! Actually, I started a while ago, but got a little sidetracked, then school started and now I just finished The Sea of Monsters. I. Love. This. Series. Now I'm taking a break while I read the book for Book Club, then I'm gonna go back and start off with The Titan's Curse. Percy and Annabeth were made for each other, just sayin'....
vballlver5: Well, I still think you can't really control what people say. You can't just expect people to be honest nicely or just flat out lie when someone who doesn't agree with them is right there. I'd rather have people be honest than nice. But, that's me. If this bothered you, then...I'm sorry. Shame on the hater.
Aw, I'm sorry about your grade. But, hey, at least it's a high C and not as bad as it could be. Could you retake it?
turayza: razz I started September 1st. I'm guessing you started completely after Labor Day, like we were supposed to...but since it's usually on the first, we just have that day off, then go. But it was really late this year, so maybe that's why some schools started later. I know extreme flooding in my area caused a high school to close for two weeks after summer break was over, but that'll go into June and they won't get out until almost July. I feel bad for them.
Yeah, I kinda thought it would be like that for Fablehaven, Pendragon, and Percy Jackson. Definitely not for the latter. The other two I haven't read yet, but they were in the kid's section at the bookstore...along with Inkheart, HP, and Percy Jackson. I sometimes like things directed at younger age groups. Back when life was easy, ya know? It's just kind of a break from all the action/adventure, heart-racing suspense, bloody, gory horror, pathetically sad romance, and unnecessary drama. Which is why my guilty pleasures are Babysitter's Club and Ramona Quimby sweatdrop .
Aw, I'm sorry you're tired and sore. I know what that feels like, after a summer of relaxation, you're thrown into running and racing heartbeats. Been there, done that, don't wanna go back. It'll get better, I promise =).
I'm doing myself a favor and not reading the spoilers. Maybe this should be a book series were I'm actually surprised by the ending, unlike all the other ones where either my friends let them slip or I read the summary on Wiki before I finished it. I still need to read the whole Hunger Games series, but it's next on my list, after Percy Jackson.

Sorry for the dramaticness of my last post and all of the poor little emotes. Ugh my math test had just really annoyed me. Anyway its all good now I got a 100 and a 97 on the two quizzes since then and I have a test tomorrow.
I kept forgetting to mention it but last week was pretty potterish, well sort of. My teacher mentioned Hogwarts in our lesson and I was like *jaw drop my teacher is awesome* and well i already knew she was cool (shes an AMAZING artist) but this just upped her on my teacher scale. I also just relized that I guy in my math class looks sort of like Fred/George Weasley when they were younger and had short hair.....there was something else
haha I remember now XD I might go to the WOrld of Harry Potter later this year and Im like omfg XD heart

Oh my I haven't been on here in awhile.
Well, I'm starting feel a lot more comfortable in my english class. I talked to my teacher, and she was tons of help, and now we're starting to do stuff that's easier. And we're finally done with studying the Puritans and we studied The Crucible last week, and that was fun because I knew a lot for that. So overall I think English is going a lot better now than it was a few weeks ago. However, Pre-Calculus is not going so well right now. I got a D on the first two tests we took, but a lot of those points off are attributed to stupid mistakes. I mean, I could have had a C+ on both tests if I hadn't made all those stupid mistakes. I mean, I knew what I was doing and everything, but I just simply forgot one tiny step that completely changed my answer. And I don't have the greatest teacher. But I'm going to get help from her tomorrow after school before tennis practice so it at least seems like I'm making an effort to boost my grade. And I should probably start turning in my homework on time.
Marching band is going well. Colorguard is not. We all hate the coach with a burning passion. Last Thursday after practice, I was so frustrated and pissed off at her and stressed about the last routine that I went home and cried for half an hour. I hate her so bad. I hope the band director can do something about making her leave at the end of this season.
Tennis is alright. I love playing and being on varsity, and I like the people on the team as people, but not as teammates. Last Tuesday, my doubles partner and I were the last ones playing and we weren't doing so well (we ended up winning, but it was really hard), and everyone else was done, and they were just talking away and laughing and paying absolutely no attention to us except for maybe two of them. And my coach didn't even say anything to them. Which really pissed me off. Then when we were finished, they asked if we won, and when I told them we did, they didn't even congratulate us on winning even though they knew it was a long and hard match for us to win. I was so pissed off at them. And they did it again at our match today. I can't wait til tennis and colorguard are over. There will be so much less drama in my life.
Kineka: Yay! You started Percy Jackson! Right now I'm reading The Last Apprentice, and so far, I really like it. But I'm not very far since I haven't had any time to read.
Just so you guys know, I don't know how often I'll be able to actually get on. Homework, tennis, and marching band literally consume all my free time. That's all I do now. Tennis, homework, or marching band. Nothing else. And our internet doesn't really work a whole lot. It'll work really early in the morning when I'm getting ready for school and really late at night when I'm in bed. I was super lucky to get on and post this. So I probably won't be on a lot unless I'm at a friend's house.
