Ike made his way to the foot of Tin Tower. He bent his back backwards to scale his eyes to the top of the tall structure, the Brass Tower in the corner of his eyes. Some monks walking by were giving Ike a peculiar look, but they needn't stop him. Ike new his history.
The Tin and Brass Towers were completed in the 1300s as a monument to the lasting peace and friendship man shared with Pokemon. Two magnificent Pokemon were said to be perched atop the monoliths. If this were really true, then Ike and Maddy's trip to this distant pass would not be in vain.

Story after story, Ike climbed the tower. Celebi followed right behind. Ike was relieved to find no one else inside the towers at the time. All the better for what he might have to do...

After a few more stories, Ike finally reached the last case of stairs leading up to the perch of the rainbow Pokemon.
Step after step, Ike took with extreme caution. Celebi felt the atmosphere of anxioty and dove into Ike's near-empty messenger bag. Ike stopped for just a moment to adjust the bag to hold Celebi's weight, then he was off once again.
Now at the top, Ike gazed his sights on the scenic view below and onward. An amazing sky of blue and orange, clouds, the sun and the moon all in the sky. Suddenly there came a radiance of heat felt behind Ike, and as he turned around, he was astonished to find the Ho-oh.

His dream came back to him. The one he had battling Archie's Darkrai.
Ike held out his arms and let himself fall back in the snow, making a snow angel. Far away, he could hear the sound of big bells ringing.
How odd, he thought. He was hearing the bells of Brass Tower... the tower that burned down a very long time ago in Ekruteak City. High up above in the sky, a multi-colored bird flew, creating a rainbow where it went.
"Hang in there Lugia." said Ike, feeling stronger than ever. "I know how to save us."

But this was no time to reminisce.

Ho-oh stared at Ike with extreme intrest. Ike wasn't sure if the legendary bird got many visitors, but here it went.
"Ho-oh. I've come-" he didn't need to finish his sentence. Ho-oh let out a loud cry and down from above came a beautiful-looking multi-colored feather. Ike let it fall into his hands and looked up to thank Ho-oh, but the bird was already gone. Flying high around the top of the tower.
He caught a glance of a figure being blasted away in the sky.
Maddy!
Ike began his decent down the towers, holding onto the sacred feather ever so tight.

"Like what? Bird watching?" Ginji laughed at his own suggestion. "I think I'm fine where I am. But I'd like to know where we're going."

Maddy was now standing at the gates of Ecruteak, staring up at the sky. A massive Pokémon was flying above the Brass Tower. She could only assume this was Ho-oh. She looked over her shoulder, half expecting that guy from Shadow to be standing there, but he was nowhere to be seen. A voice in her head wore away at her confusion, allowing her to think more clearly. She smirked, and slowly made her way towards the tower...

Ike reached the bottom of the towers to find Maddy walking toward him at a distance.
"Maddy! I've got the feather. Let's go." he called out to her.

Ginji's Natu burst from its ball. "Hey there little guy." He smiled as the tiny bird Pokemon chirped in joy as a strange force came over him. His eyes turned a fiery red as Darkrai too burst from its ball. The legendary and not so legendary starred at each other, assuming to share power between the two and then the room burst into a field of stars. A projection of illusion onto the spatial reality of HQ. "Whoa...what is this?" the boy asked in surprise, looking to Sammy.

"Yes! Get our a**'s out of here--?!"
"Now's your chance! Grab Celebi like we agreed!!"
Maddy whipped around to see that man standing there again, and he had some back-up this time. "What agreement? I didn't agree to anything!"
"Don't lie!"
Maddy blinked a couple times. "What the--?!" Before she knew it, all the members of Team Shadow who were present were tossing Pokéballs into the air, all bursting open to reveal a Tyranitar or two for each trainer. "Uhmmm... wow... there's like... almost a dozen of em..." She took a Pokéball out of her pocket and released Blaze, even though she very well knew he wouldn't be able to hold off more than one of those beasts.

"I was about to ask you the same thing.. sweatdrop " She admitted, standing up and observing the spectacle. "Sure is pretty, though.." Troy had now been returned to his pokeball, against his will, of course.

The blackness erupted with a soft blaze as where there once were stars resulted in an abyss of flames, slowly engulfing the HQ in a translucent fire. "AH!" Ginji screamed as the harmless fires began to swirl around the center point of the Natu/Darkrai starring contest.
