Arlen mumbled thanks and wiped the sauce from his face before hoping down from the stool and wearily making his way back upstairs to bed, leaving the remaining pasta and napkins to be cleaned up by someone else.

Trina stood facing the mirror, contemplating. She wanted to see River...
Trina was friendly enough with everyone, but she trusted River more than anyone. Her friend and equal. With a sigh, Trina turned away from the mirror, going behind the bar to fill a glass with water. River found the desert beautiful, and Trina could see it's allure, but a place without water was not a place Trina was completely comfortable being. She'd visit a bit later perhaps.

Baizou stirred awake on the couch and made a soft trilling noise as he lifted his feline head. He stretched his front paws out and yawned as he rolled over onto his back, stretching out his slightly cramped tail.

Ellie was her normal size again, Baizou cuddled into her stomach, body slightly curled around him. At some point in the night, she'd woken up, normal sized and on the floor. But, this is how she remembered going to sleep. Patting the head of her husband, Ellie let out a soft chuckle, almost wanting to curl up and go back to sleep.

Baizou stretched out one more time before standing up on Ellie's stomach. He walked up to her face and nuzzled it affectionately before hopping down from the couch. He ran up the stairs for a few moments before returning a fully clothed man. He wiggled his tail a little more, noticing it was getting harder to fit through the hole on account of his fur getting longer.

*the front door opened slowly, to reveal a tall shadowy figure with an outstretched hand. the figure allowed his hand to fall and the door ceased it's motion.*

Sitting up comfortably, stretching her own limbs after doing so, Ellie watched her husband come back down the stairs. "Getting furry already, love?" Asked she, while standing and letting out a small sigh. Since she'd hidden her wings away, she'd never really brought them back, so to speak, since they did more getting-in-the-way than helping when they were attached.

Baizou looked to the figure in the doorway and smiled politely. "Good afternoon." He greeted, walking over to Ellie to kiss her forehead. "Can I get you anything?" He asked, then looked back at his tail. He chuckled, "Yes, I think I need to trim it, soon."

*the man stepped in, his dark cloak nearly concealing him fully, and made a motion with his hand, alloing the door to close behind him... by itself... * no... but it would seem that this is the right place... but not the right time....

Ellie laughed, and shrugged. "Okay then." After a bit of standing up, Ellie sat back down on teh couch and tucked her knees into her chest. "I'm still tired." The woman whined, hair falling plainly around her shoulders, chin on her kneecap.

Baizou blinked, "Wrong time?" He asked curiously. He bent down to hug Ellie gently, "Did you want to go sleep in our room? The couch does not always offer the most restful sleep... Especially after the night you had. Was I able to keep you warm enough?"

"Yeah.. I was fine." Nodding feebly, Ellie stood, arms crossed over her stomach. "I'll be up there, then." Weakly smiling in her husband's direction. She turned and headed to the stairs, head slightly down as she climbed, yawning as she went.
