“Do you not get dizzy, child?” She asked Arlen thoughtfully looking at him over her shoulder as she pulled the noodles out of the cabinet. Looking at the box she tilted her head a bit, she recalled spaghetti being long noodles of mess. “Now, Arlen how would you like your Spaghetti? What would you like on it? Anything in particular I should know about?” She asked him thoughtfully letting her eyes skim his face and the chair he sat in. He reminded her of Sasori, but he actually spoke to her.

"Nope," Arlen said, giggling and shaking his head energetically. "Umm... tomato sauce?" he said uncertainly. That was what it came with right?

Nox smiled at Arlen, watching him spin. He normally didn't like kids, but this one he was oddly fond of. "Thank you, MIss River, and I don't mind telling my age," he said. Nox, too, was only five-three. "I'll be one-hundred and ninety-nine in October. I was only fifteen when I was turned, that's why I look like a bloody girl," he added, a little bitterness in his voice.

“Well..” She started winking at Arlen, “ I think I can do that for you kid!” She said sweetly looking back at Nox with a look that said she understood. “Fifteen is young, I was born eighteen, not a day younger or older. I haven’t changed since.” She murmured pulling a pot from another cabinet and filling it half way with water setting it on the stove and clicking it on. “I remember when I first crashed here how afraid and stupid the race of humans where, and I remember explicitly the hate I felt towards the angels that tried to kill me; then I was a foolish idiot, You could say I was like a small child I knew nothing but what was implanted in my head.” She recalled opening the box and watching the water boil for a moment. A smile slowly crossed her features, “As old as I am I’m still learning a lot of emotions that I should of known but I didn’t. I need to re-format my mind to fit them- since I’ve never had pleasure, love, or care expressed to me before I don’t know how to do it.” She said looking at him thoughtfully, “That’s a lot of information I’m sorry. I must bore you so.” She said softly letting her onyx eyes hit the floor in distaste his bitterness made her giggle, but in her head she would never do such a thing in front of him.

Arlen continued to giggle quietly as her resumed spinning around and around on the stool.

"Though I was born human, I remember almost nothing of my first fifteen years. I suppose I can empathize with you on some levels about having to.. get used to people. I was very lucky to have a caring Master, though, who put up with my childishness and loved me in spite of me." Nox looked at her a little saddly. "It's awful that you've never loved or been loved..."

Baizou walked downstairs looking as if he had gone to bed already and woken up. He was dressed in silky red pajama bottoms and a white wife beater and his usually pulled back three foot red hair draped over his back and shoulders. "Do not mind me, everyone." He murmured, shuffling over to the refrigerator.

Shrugging faintly amused at the child she shook her head, pouring the noodles into the hot water, spreading them a bit. “It’s alright that I’ve not shown love to people. I simply can’t do it so I try not to beat myself up about it.” River managed to relax back against the counter. “I know people try to love me. Unsuccessfully- I usually hurt the people who try it.” Again she shrugged like it was nothing but a petty obstacle to work around as she picked out a wooden spoon and stirred the noodles in a thoughtful manner. “You didn’t remember the years before? Is that a side affect?” Her brow creased softly, “ I can turn those hunks of flesh into pulp and not feel a shred of regret because of how they treated me, Surely you understand that?”

Ellie sat quite uncomfortably, having been hexed by Cass. Apparently, fertility charms didn't sit well with the cat woman. Speaking of sitting, a miniature version of Ellie sat on a shelf in the fridge, having given up on trying to push the door open with any sort of leverage from teh food that she may have stepped in. Apparently, being mini took away magic, too. Now huddled in a ball, sweatshirt pulled over her knees, Ellie waited until someone got the midnight munchies.

Arlen stopped his spin abruptly and wavered slightly in the seat, obviously a bit dizzy. "Hi Mister Baizou," he said waving cheerfully at the man.

Baizou blinked as his eyes landed on his wife, "Love... What the hell?" He said, holding back a laugh. "That cannot be healthy for the baby." He murmured, scooping his tiny wife into his over-sized hands gently. "Are you all right?' he asked, worry in his eyes. No wonder he was having nightmares about cold things. He closed the fridge with his hip and held her to his chest.

Nox eyed Baizou, but said nothing to him. "I lost my memory before I was turned, actually," he said darkly. "I recently regained the memory of why I forgot it all in the first place, but none of the other things will return... I do kill humans on occasion, but sometimes I do regret when they die... I loved a human once, and when he died I realized what it is to lose someone, so I have pity for them now..." He smiled at her. "Maybe one day you'll be able to love..."

Like a spider, Ellie clambered out of her husband's hands and carefully scaled his shirt to cuddle tightly against his neck and sit on his shoulder much like a parrot. "I am cold. I hate cold... Keep me warm?" She managed, voice normal, if not many decibels softer.

Pulling a jar out from another cabinet River walked back to the stove and popped the lid off. Sloshing the tomato sauce around a bit she pulled another pan out and set it on another burner starting it up after pouring a little sauce into the pan to heat up. “Is it true…that when a vampire bites another vampire it’s a sexual stimulant to them? Or is that a stupid fairy tale as well? Just wondering…” a mixture of confusion at the question and curiosity flowed around her head as Baizou walked into the room. He looked odd to River and she only nodded to him looking around a moment for the strainer, finding it and setting it into the sink. “Almost done Arlen….” River murmured to the dizzy looking boy- but she couldn’t assume just by looking at him. Lifting the pot with her bare hands her flesh burned with the heated metal as she moved it and poured the now very tender noodles into the strainer, hot air and steam flowing off the starchy food. “I doubt that, Nox, I really do…”

Baizou waved weakly to Arlen, then turned an ear to Ellie. "Poor love." He cooed, making sure she was secure to him before venturing over to the couch. He pulled her from his shoulder to set her on a cushion, "Just a moment, love." He said, shifting into the cat form Tomo had taught him. Now, he was at least at eye-level with Ellie and he could keep her warmer.
