"It is a hoverbike actually. I had seen some young men flying on them through town one day and decided that it was something to my liking. You really can lose yourself to the wind flying in your face. It is almost like flying with Li'ad at times."

Sapphire smiles. "My mistake. How is Li'ad? I haven't seen or heard from him since before I . . . umm . . .summer started." Sapphire says now looking over Aitrus's head at River on the piano. Her body yearned for her to sing to the tune, but she knew her soul would be too much at risk still. She had used her magic several times this summer and never once did it turn out properly, she always passed out and had to be carried back to the hideout..

Sapphire shakes her head both to Aitrus's comment and to the pull of the music. "I've never much been one for hospitals. Everyone I've been too, has tried to either remove my tail or use me for their own personal science experiment." She takes her new glass of vodka and downs it again.

The song continued without pause only slowing when it was needed. She knew few songs but the ones she did learn where long enough to continue on without stopping. Letting her fingers press and flow over the keys drew her attention away from everything for the moments it would last. Eyes sliding closed she listened to the tune and for anyone who was addressing her around the room. Hearing nothing thus far she didn’t expect anything from anyone. If she did that she feared she would expect too much and forgive to little the Many races on the planet that aren’t interesting despite being labeled as a Vampire a few times herself and using it against people that’s not what she was and she damn near knew this. Letting a yawn flow from her lungs she shifted a bit more and leaned a little back as her fingers flew across the keys at a fast part in the song she memorized.

"If Li'ad is around I am sure he can dull the pain of it. Or if you would prefer we could find a healer to do that for us. It shouldnt not be too difficult of a task if that is what you would prefer."

Her thumb slipped, damn the short hardly noticeable mistake made River irritated with herself but alas playing the Piano required skill and though old she didn’t have all the skills she could playing it. Her foot pressed on a peddle under the Piano which drew the notes out as she pressed them then moved to another peddle stunting the sound like it was supposed to. Easing her foot away the flow was consistent again taking her away as she made sure her fingers didn’t slide across the keys. Her eye twitched and so she opened them both to gaze at her fingers for a moment, hunching just for a second before the familiar uncomfortable feeling swept across her body and she straitened herself out again. The song slowed down, as it was nearing it’s end and she blew air from her lungs silently. She didn’t realize she was holding her breath like that.
