[Yeah, that's what I was gonna do.]
"Doesn't bother me, either..." Mariku said slyly, putting a hand to the back of Ayira's head, kissing her for a moment, before taking a step backwards and pushing her over the edge of the balcony. Seto had found a healer and had practically hauled that man's a** to his room. Upon entering, he didn't see Ayira, which startled him. After looking, he saw her on the balcony with some stranger. Before he could make it out there, before Seto could even register anything, the man kissed her and shoved her. It was then that he saw the noose. With a wordless, painful yell, Seto ran out onto the balcony as the blonde man slipped back inside, looking startled.

There was a choking sound as ayira was shoved off the balcony. She thrashed and squirmed trying to pull herself up. And a minuteher body went slack her arms dropping at her sides bloodrunning out of her mouth.

Seto pulled his Millennium Rod out, quickly drawing the dagger. He had no time to think; he quickly slashed through the rope, hoping she would land safely. Worried only about Ayira, he ran from his room, tossing the Millennium Rod to the side as he went. Luckily, very luckily, part of the garden was under his balcony, so there were plenty of plant things for her to land on. Mariku was surprised Seto didn't do anything about him. He eyed the Millennium Rod, then smiled a little to himself, picking it up. What an idiot. Pocketing the golden item, he turned towards Bakura, scooping the thief up. "Shh, it's okay..." He said softly, seeing that Bakura was clearly in pain. A few hours? Mariku wasn't sure if he could stomach seeing Bakura in so much pain for that long. He wished he had the sense to ask if there was any antidote. He decided to leave as quickly as he could, which was quite easy.

Ayira landed in asmall bush. She had landed saftly but she wasent moving.

Seto reached Ayira in only a little bit, quickly pulling her out of the bush. He laid her down, loosening the rope around her neck and checking for breathing and a heartbeat.

Akhenaden smiled a little as he watched, via the power of his Millennium Eye, as the blond-haired newcomer did what Bakura had been unable to do. He decided to stop them, perhaps give thanks, but the main reason would be to take back the Millennium Rod. Mariku had nearly reached an exit when some old, one-eyed man stopped him, blocking the path. He glared, hissing slightly. "Move out of the way, old man." He snapped, bracing himself for some kind of ambush, holding Bakura close. "Oh, I will. Don't worry about that." Akhenaden said airily, glancing over his shoulder. "Just as soon as you give me the Millennium Rod you so sneakily grabbed. It's really of no use to you, if you don't know how to work it. I won't call any guards or anything, if you don't give me any trouble." Mariku glanced down at the Millennium Rod in his hand, then shrugged. The old man was right, he guessed. It wouldn't be of any help to him. He tossed it at the priest without a word, deciding that he would just ignore the sadistic grin that spread over the man's face. He stepped aside, and Mariku briskly left the palace, hoping that his horse was still somewhere around here. He didn't want to get tangled up with palace affairs; it was fine by him not to have that Millennium Item. Akhenaden grinned wickedly as he watched the blonde mount a horse, check to make sure the thief was on securely, and then begin to ride off. Because of the nice job he had done with the woman, Akhenaden decided that he would keep his word and not send guards out. He examined the Millennium Rod; it would simple enough to figure out how it worked. He knew the most of the Millennium Items, of all the priests. He knew that the Millennium Rod could seal spirit monsters in slabs; or it could brainwash a person. Now, who would he like to control first?

Ayira had stoped breathing but there was a faint heatbeat. Her face was paler,tinted blue with blood running out of her mouth. Her eyes were open but clouded over and dull.

The healer who Seto had fetched had chugged, wheezing and puffing, alongside Seto when he had run to check on Ayira. Seto moved aside to let the healer do his job. He turned his head to the side, struggled to spit out blood, and then covered his mouth with one hand. He was struggling not to lose control of his emotions; he knew that he needed to remain calm, or else this would all get out of hand.
[Skip to later? Ayira doesn't have to wake up, but Mariku and Bakura could reach the hut or something. BTW, does blood help with the poison, or what?]

Rei had woke by the time they got back and rushed out when she saw them "Whathappened??"

"Bakura got poisoned." Mariku said briefly, brushing past Rei and going into the hut. He put Bakura down, now examining the cut on his chest. "I went in there and there was some woman slapping him. She made me mad, Bakura told me to kill her, so I hung her. The priest ran in and cut her down, and I left before someone decided to seize us." Mariku decided to leave out the Millennium Rod thing, and the fact that the woman had been naked.

"Yeah. Lady said it was something like... Crik? Crok? Something like that, I forget..." Mariku muttered, distracted. "She said it won't kill him, but that he'd suffer for hours. I don't know how to fix it."

"Crik....Crik.....Why the hell does that sound so familer....." Rei started pacing for a moment before "A HAH! SCHOOL IS USEFUL!" she yelled before rushing around looking for somthing. Finding a knife she gently shook bakura"Bakura were did the women put the poison?" she asked.

"Ok..." Rei was quiet thinking. She knewshereadabout this in school...but that was awhile ago "God I hope this right..." She winced as she cut her palm. She squessed her hand before rubbing the blood on his face. Instintly therewould be acooling sensation and the pain would stop.
