"All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy..." Xiaeriene's voice was gravely "You can never be too prepared, yes, that is true, but" She thought back to her fathers for a split second "There are always X-factors that will affect the outcome. so no matter how prepared you may be, it is all for naught as soon as the x-factor becomes present. And it seems the Black Star Nation has an affinity for throwing them out at us. All we can do is our best, and hope that it is enough for the proper outcome, that is all we really can do. No point in overexerting ourselves, pushing our limits until we are exhausted, or fretting, stressing, working oruselves up over all of this. Strength not only comes from endurance and training, but knowing when to lay off and relax, have a spot of fun, enjoy the finer things in life, and more than ever, take a break. And while it may not appear to be the most practical or logical choice, it is something that we all need, something that, in the opast week, we seem to ahve forgotten for the most part. " She looked around at everyone, then returned her gaze to Guraha "Anyone who can't handle taking a small break from showing off their physical prowess, you can leave this gym right now, and take your training elsewhere. No one will stop you, and no one will criticize you. It is our choice and yours alone, no one will force you. But if you have a problem with preparing your mind and spirit as well, then why are you here in the first palce? Why are you even partaking of all of this?"

Guraha stood there dumbfounded as Xiaeriene spoke as if she actually had grown some maturity "Uh, well, good points, I must say I am impressed at your change in attitude about this. She is correct, we cannot hope to win by relying on strength of physical body alone. You all keep forgetting, the actual fight tournament is only the third and final test for the Competition. Before that, you must prove youself to qualify for that, by passing the first two parts, a Test of Survival, relying on your wits, mental bounds and endurance, a test of the spirit. The second is a test of the mind, your powers of deduction and logic, knowledge and practicality. Some of what you will learn in this week of lectures will prove valuable during those first two competitions. And you may want to pay attention, for your performance in those affects whether or not you will participate int he final competition of the fight tournament."

Over at Vain's, a cloud of dust suddenly burst into the room through the kitchen window, and within a second, dina was standing in front of Vain. He looked much more mature than he had when he was alive, and he stood tall with long wavy hair and wings of deep azure.
It's been a while, old friend. Much seems to have happened since we left the plane of the physical." He walked over to Vain with a friendly grin, time stopping like before "As my brother has already informed you, we cannot directly intervene, as it is not our place. But, I can give you a lead to go by, but the rest will be up to you. Elise is currently being held by Jagen, Zero, Dracgoon, and now, the Demon sword Medium using my daughter as a host. and being of the Darkness element, you should have no problem tracking down the signal of Medium to find them. I am sure you already know this, but you won't last very long if you decide to take them on alone. But you have a powerful weapon that they will never have"

"You can preach lectures and education all you want, but speaking as one of the few in this class who does constantly work on both body and mind, I would like to add you're lectures are flawed in concept. It's true we will have three chalanges, and that your lectures will help us learn them, but to actually be ready for something, studying alone isn't enough." Bardok pressed on.
"We need practical education of the material; just talking about it alone wont do too much good. We need to not only learn by mind, but experience by body what we'll be up against." It's unknown what's gotten into Bardok lately, but what ever it was, it was making him far more outspoken then normal.
----
"I already expected all this." Vain just shrugged, nothing really surprised him these days. "I have no plan on rescuing Elise, I know so long as Jagen has her, no harm will come to her; he may be an evil b*****d, but he is an over protective father as well." He spoke from past experience. "And what's the weapon you're talking about?" He raised an eyebrow, slightly on the defensive. He had been seceretly working on something, but he didn't think anyone would know.

"You say fun like a lecture is fun." Koori chimed in. "Some of us find it more relaxing in the heat of battle and enduring extreme physical exertion that only the mind and spirit could push us through. A warriors spirit can only be pushed when the mind and body a broken. It then takes over and pushes the warrior beyond their braking point. The body and the mind are limited yet your will, your spirit, it's infinite. And most of the time your spirit can only be exercised through grueling physical and mind breaking exercises. That's why the Chinese have such powerful martial arts. Everyone learning it is broken in their mind and body and forced to keep going on shear will alone. The body and mind then continue to strengthen. I agree with Bardok and the perv. Right now we should be strengthening all three while perfecting everything we already know. After all the difference between a wasted attack and a one hit kill can be as little as a fraction of a millimeter. Your spirit may be able to want you to hit it, but if your body can't it's worthless. I can understand the logic and deduction parts being taught but the survival must be achieved through physical means. To break down all barriers you might encounter. A mind is worthless if it's weak body and weak spirit cant use it's knowledge. Besides, I come to this class to get my PE credits and some exercise. Start with grueling physical work to break down the body and mind, train the spirit and mold it into the perfect warrior."
Taki raised an eyebrow. "He's in the bedroom. Last I knew, having a threesome with some girls he picked up. On Koori's bedroll no less. Said he's gonna be in there all day."

Dina smiled "Do not worry, we will not speak of that, your secret is with us as well. Do not forget that nothing is hidden from us, and we know all. Henceforth also why we cannot directly intervene, it would cause an imbalance with Eternity, and Nothingness would consume everything ahead of schedule." He walked over to the window "The weapon I speak of is not what you are thinking, but something far greater. And you already know what I speak of, for it comes from within. But, as far as Elise is concerned, you may want tor reconsider. Demon Sword Medium is extremely unpredictable, and with the powers of my daughter at it's desposal, she could destroy everything and everyone, including Jagen, your brother, your son, and Elise. They do not realize it, but she is extremely dangerous, and depsite what the Black Star Nation may think, she is not one to be controlled, and she will do whatever she pleases. Even now, the tides of Possibility crash against Jagen and his plans, soon now, he will die, and if you do not act, Elise may very well die too. Even the school, now, is no more a safe haven, the Black Star Nation will soon control this entire City. Do not forget, we see all, past, present, and future, but though we see, we cannot do, or change, for that matter. All we ca do is support, and assist in slight ways when Eternity deems it neccessary." He turned and placed his hands on Vain's shoulders "It is time, Eternity is calling me back, we shall meet again very soon. If you see Megami, please, do not tell her of your encounter with me, it would only break her heart" In a cloud of dust, he disappeared, and time reverted back to normal

Guraha grinned, ignoring Bardok "Thank you Koori, you bring up very valid points, bonus points to you and Miss Catalyxe both today. This class is, in fact, not for lectures, but mainly, for the actual experience, to better know what it is like in real combat. However, the knowledge is still a must, while one can learn through hands-on experience, it is not always the best route. At times, one may better be suited away from such experience, and though it does not seem practical, the fact remains, that even though the spirit cannot be broken, it can crack, and that is never a good thing. Take someone who is driven, for example; can anyone tell me what happens when one becomes driven, and the outcome that always eventually occurs, when one is driven?"

"And by 'driven' you mean what exactly? Perseverance? Something that's highly needed in a battle? Or what?" She leaned back onto the bleachers.

Guraha nodded "Good question, I suppose the word itself is very vague. I suppose, in this case, let me give you this example: A man is born with a purpose, and that purpose is to die to save his people. And, during his journey to meet his end, he endures many hardships at the hands of those who gave him his purpose, those who gave him his faith, his reasons, everything he ever knew. And now, he has been betrayed, and everything he holds sacred, he discovers to be a lie. Time and time again, he is pursued, his journey littered with difficulties, yet he presses on, even knowing that he has been branded a traitor by his people, even knowing that he will die just so that his people can live without the fear of waking up to find their whole lives blown away. What drives him to keep going, and when he finally cracks, what will become of him in that moment of weakness?"

Bardok clenched a fist tightly, feeling highly annoyed.
---
Vain thought for a moment on what was said, unsure how to react. "We revived Tenji, he could be a great help. As well, as Sis and Dad, I will need their help. Plus," He looked out the window, his eyes glazing over with memories. "I could use my teachers help..."
Grabbing his clothes, Vain bolted out the door and onto his motorcycle, speeding towards the school.

"So you mean driven to the edge? That varies from person to person. But most people come away from that stuff a stronger more driven individual. Though in that example, I would say he would die more for himself than anyone. In my training as a child, we were all forced to the breaking point and past it. Just so we know what it's like when we were driven through it. Sure there were some people who hated it and quit but those of us who made it though all grew stronger. There is no subsistute for an actual experience." She retorted.

Guraha nodded "Quite right. But, if one is not informed, how can one hope to live through an experience to learn from it, save by chance? Of coruse, when ti boils right down to it, life is chance, but, as you said, the breaking point varies from person to person, though all persons have an absolute rift point, that if hit, can cause a drastic decrease in performance, if not worse things." He reached into the pocket of his trousers. In one hand he held a nice large blob of pink play-doh, and in the other, he held pink flesh-colored putty "ah, let me see, the play-doh....Suji, here you are!" He tossed the play-doh to Bardok. "And for the putty......who here can blow really good?"

Xiaeriene snickered as she noted Kanu's face as Tony walked in. Suddenly, she went purple, and without warning, she was standing, her staff poised to impale Asuka "Whore, you take that back! Just because I dumped Guns doesn't mean I'm a skanky little t**t-taster like you!" She rushed Asuka, intent of spearing her to the bleachers
