Pictograms today. Were they easier for Toby? He wanted to swim? She smiled and nodded, standing carefully. She offered him her hand. "Can you splash in this form?"

Err, well... he probably could, right? He still had fingers, they were just bigger. Maybe he could splash better? He stood and handed Maia his board, then scooped her up and started for the pools, stopping before each door to let Maia open it.

Maia nestled in Toby's arms, opening each door when Toby stopped. "I bet you could make a bigger splash when jumping in, too," She mused. "Salt water might be good for your bones, too," he'd be sore in the morning, but she'd heard swimming helped some people.

Toby gave Maia a look, but he wasn't sure it would translate. Salt water, huh? Like the ocean? Sure, it was for his bones. He smiled slightly again and set Maia down by the chairs, then made a running jump into the pool. The splash was explosive, and the rush of water felt nice. It would have been nicer on bare skin, but maybe next summer they'd be able to talk Maia into skinny-dipping. He remembered them joking about it previously.
He rose from the water and ran a hand back through the fur on his head and opened his arms. Jump in!

It didn't look like Toby believed her. Of course she was only guessing that was what the look was for.
She took off her warm clothes, and stripped into her underwear. She'd discovered it was uncomfortable to swim fully clothed. She jumped in.

There were a lot of things to not like about being a werewolf in wolf form, but right at the top was not being able to feel his lover skin-to-skin or even clothing-to-clothing. Fur was thick and hot and blocked a great deal of sensation. For now, though, he could definitely make due. She was here, after all. She was back.
As soon as Maia emerged, Toby gave a large sweeping arm motion and the wave that came with, spattering the pool tiles on one side. He heard the water fall and looked toward it. Whoops! Oh well, at least they'd switched over to bots all those years ago. Nothing sentient was going to blame him.

"Missed!" Maia announced, and instead of retaliating, moved behind Toby and wrapped her arms around his shoulders. "You're so much taller in this form," she said. "It makes me even shorter."

Reasonably, he could probably flip her over his head, but he guessed Maia wouldn't like that. Instead he put his hands over hers and began to tote her around the pool. Yes, he was much bigger. If he was just a little smaller it might not hurt so much to change.

Swimming was always nice, but especially with Toby. After a while, she broke free in order to splash him. There was no chance she'd win a splashfight, but maybe if she was quick enough. She dove under water.

Rather than splash back, Toby ducked under the water with her, arms floating outward, and blinked at the selkie. He grabbed her gently, picked her up, and tossed her a few feet back into the water. Hah!

Maia squealed as she was picked up. She wasn't expecting the toss, and when she emerged she sent a wave of water at him. "That's cheating!" she said, moving closer to him. She splashed him again.

Toby stood up, flexed his biceps, and growled playfully. He'd do it again too! He only got to cheat like that once a month! At least he only got to throw her that far.

Maia swam over to him and splashed. "I'm impressed with your strength," she teased Toby. She wrapped arms around him.

Yeah? Good. Because shaking off after a swim was entirely necessary and not all that manly or attractive. In fact it was pretty silly. He bobbed up and down a bit with Maia, bending digitigrade legs up and down.

After a while, Maia looked up at Toby. "Are you hungry?" She asked. The first full moon she'd joined him on, he'd needed a lot of food. "We can go back and get you something to eat. Then find something else to do." Cuddle, maybe? Read? Come back and swim more?
