Kaya frowned a little and tilted her head. "Well, unless I mysteriously get fired, I don't think I'm going anywhere," she promised, smiling at Luke.

Luke looked to Kaya, seeing her smile like that. He nestled up to her side, hoping to have comfort in that promise. Maybe he'd have his first friend.

Kaya was slightly surprised, but she put an arm around Luke's shoulders, hugging him and smiling a little. He seemed a lot more personable when he was younger. Maybe his life had been more carefree at that age.

Luke stayed close to Kaya, hugging her some. She was like the only friend besides his sister and Kaitani that he had. He didn't want to risk losing her... So he stayed there, cuddled up to her, and hugging her.

Kaya didn't say anything and just rested her chin on the top of Luke's head. She felt bad for the wolf, and while he looked so young, she knew that he was actually under the stress of an adult.

Indeed the poor boy had his young body, but his mind was weary with the stress and trauma of his older half. Such things weighed his spirit down, keeping as it was always when he was his normal age. Keeping that wild and free spirit shoved into the deepest pits of his mind as he focused on things that kept him from ever even acknowledging the spirit that was locked in its own little Pandora's box.

Luke glanced to Kaya when she spoke. "Probably my mother trying to get me a love life in the most desperate or oddest way possible..."

Luke shrugged some. "I don't know. She figured if I'm young and unbearably cute, then it might attract someone to like me."

Kaya blushed a little and looked away. Why was that? Well... She'd been just thinking about how adorable he was. But if she was completely honest, he'd been pretty cute as an adult; just in a different, slightly more appealing way.

Kaya nodded. "That's probably good. It would be rather unfortunate if you couldn't teach because of this," she said in a teasing tone.
