"Wait, hold up, hold up," Anatoly responded. He moved to the edge of the roof. "BLAINE, THE s**t ARE YOU DOING HERE!?" he yelled from the edge.

Farley grabbed Anatoly and dragged him back, but Rufus waved him off. "Too late now," he growled sourly. "Get down there and fix this s**t. If you haven't done something within 5 minutes, I'm killing everything down there," he said as he went back to Kitt.
Blaine got out of the car and looked around.

"No, listen, I can talk them down," Anatoly said calmly. He ran to his still-standing bridge and jogged to Blaine. He created an ice ladder - the sheer idiocy of the idea only striking him halfway down - and made his way to him at the ground level. "What the ******** are you guys doing here?" Anatoly asked, stupefied.

Blaine was on his guard, but he spoke quickly. "I can't tell you too much, but Nathan and I are pretty much on our own right now. He decided that it might be better if we came to you for help." Blaine's misunderstanding of Nathan's intentions was completely unintentional.

Anatoly sighed. "Is your base empty and full of scorch marks?" he asked dryly.

Blaine's recoiling shock was answer enough.

"I think it was the camopants cult. Come on, the ice ladder's perfectly stable," Anatoly continued with a sigh, strengthening the structure of the ice bridge. He led them back to the Blazer Black guys. "Their base got trashed too," he explained.

No one said anything. It was awkward for Anatoly just to be there as they glared at each other mistrustfully.

Anatoly looked around, feeling the mistrust all around. "Okay, seriously, guys. Remember the first mission where the camopants cult showed up? For those who were there," he added. "We were both told that the other team intended to kill that scientist if we didn't stop the other team from getting him and then the camopants cult helped him get away."
"Then," Anatoly continued, "A mission later for each of us, our bases get wiped out by precision strikes in tandem." He looked at them. "Someone knew exactly where we were and hit our bases when we least expected it, and was probably feeding us exactly the info they wanted us to receive the whole time."

((Whoops edited.))
"So a force driving us against each other. Two polar opposites, but... perhaps we were a little too afraid of each other."

"Well, obviously we've got a bigger threat than each other," Anatoly agreed.

Nathan was in the water. He was not there on the roof.

Nathan, of course, had finished swimming there and had been helped up.
