I...don't beleiv in putting an animal to sleep for somethign like that. Its kind of like euthinasia with humans. It looks bad and they're in pain, but you honostly don't know if they'll get better.
Our german shepherd had severe hisp displasure. Before we found out about he rhip displasure she was always crying.n So we took her to the vet one day and found out that both her hips were completly shattered and owuld never heal right. The people wanted us to put her to sleep. My mom was in tears and my dad...he wouldn't shopw it but my dad was hurt too. We decided not to put her to sleep. The vet called us cruel and threatened to call an animal shelter and the authroties. We told her to blow it out her a**.
Several week latter, she stopped crying and was fine. We noticed though that she would hope on her back legs when sprinting. We took her ot the vet again for a check up, the woman was still there and glared at us as we came in (I gave her the finger when my parents wern't looking, she foomed, I laughed quitely) Turn out she healed fine, a littl eout of place, but fine. The way they healed though prevented her back legs form workign right when she sprints, hice the hopping.
All i can say Lory is that I hope you wait and see. Yes, he'll most likely be in alot of pain...but you never know. He's your naimal though, so its your decision.

lymelady I'm so sorry Lorysa. *hugs* Are you alright? Of course I'll be! gonk It's just that I never gave him much attention, just because he wasn't that pretty to me, and I was responsible for his death just because I had to come into the house after it got dark because I'd saved a baby bird that ended up dying a few hours ago, anyway... it just seemed so pointless all of it. I mean, my mom drove from work in 100 degree weather to have it put out of its misery, and then when she and my brother went to a store (which is a pretty long drive) to get some bird seed for the bird I thought I saved, and the car broke down in the heat near the store. She's completely English so she can't stand hot weather, at all, and they were stuck there for two hours and got something to eat and drink. Then they came home and found out that both had already died! And all because I shut the door on it at night time! I didn't even do it that hard...

You couldn't have known he was there. Cats are really hard to see when they sneak by doors, I've closed the doors on my cats before while it was light. It sounds like you've had a horrible day.

(Hugs both back) But it wasn't that bad. The morning wasn't good, since two baby animals died, but then there's still a lot of good things that happened today, like my brother who has Autism has his 23rd birthday, today, and he hasn't smiled as much or been as happy in years. We ordered pizza a few minutes ago and I got to taste my very first coconut creme pie (I liked it a lot, but it also made me gag because with the scent and all it made me feel like I was eating frozen suntan lotion) and we have other kittens to take care of, still. ^ ^

But if I think about it, at least we were sure he would have died instead of having the vet do it. And I left out that when they were on their way, they prayed he would die before they got home so he wouldn't have to suffer long, and according to both of our accounts, that's what happened... we're tight on money, so it would have costed more to have that done. I feel stupid worrying so much about a small kitten, but a lot of people do, I think.

How is EVERYONE doing?
I've missed you all, and it seems like none of us have had great days.
I've had an odd couple of days myself, but it sounds like everyone's been having kind of a hard week. Tell me, what's GREAT with you guys? What's gone -right- with y'all?
