*hugs Ashley and Malee* It was an extreeemely upsetting hour and a half, even though I knew it was nothing serious after the first ten minutes. It's just so heartbreaking to see your child in pain and know that there's nothing you can do about it. T_____T

T0T Just got back from the hospital. Jonathan's elbow got dislocated. We called within two minutes of the accident and drove over to emergency right away but the poor little guy was still in pain for over an hour before the doctor did the little pull-shove-pop trick with his arm.
Jonathan seemed to forget all about it within a few minutes of the pain finally fading away and is now sleeping soundly but I'm all wound up now from adrenaline and emotion. @-@
Poor Jonathan...what happened?
I'm really glad he's okay though.

My little brother Jake is diabetic, and he was really close to dying in like, March or something. Dad told me after the fact, but i was strill worried sick! gonk heart

I get upset when I see my friends daughter in pain, I imagine I'll probably be a franticly frightened with my own children one day.

Taylor_Highwind: We were swinging him by the arms tonight instead of by the armpits as we usually do. Apparently this is a major no-no until he's five or six years old. T-T
Ashley: Oh my goodness. o_O I'm so glad he pulled through. Thank God for modern medicine, just in general. There's so much you can do now for things that were fatal some years back.
Malee: I go into this strange automated mode under situations like this. >.> Some part of me shuts off and another part takes over and I'm this...Drill Sergeant or something until things calm down. I mean I was barking orders at my poor mother, and I do NOT do that. Then I start blubbering after it's all over and there's not much to blubber over.

Not suppose to swing them by the arms... That has to be one of those things you find out after something goes wrong. Then again, there are a lot of things that are bad that you don't find out until something goes wrong.

Yep. Like how one should avoid potato chips and French fries while pregnant. I knew about aspirin and shellfish, and avoiding raw foods and caffeine also seems like fairly common sense, but...potato chips? ;-; You have to TELL ME these things! I'm not BORN knowing them! *wails*

I'm with LadyD. I love doctors "Well, you should have this and you shouldn't have that." and of course that would have been nice to have known months ago!
I'm sure my doctor one of these days will tell me to stop playing video games to give my poor thumb a break. Something that would have been nice to have known years ago. sweatdrop

Ashley: anything raw, anything caffeinated, overly fatty/salty foods, deli meat or other "preserved" meats containing nitrites, aspirin, potato chips, French fries, shellfish, fish that mainly eat other fish for food...there's a lot you can't have while preggers. ^^; I had to give up sushi for nine months. That SUCKED.
The whole, "Well, you know...you really shouldn't blah-blah-blah" is going to really get on my nerves someday. >.> If I KNEW THAT ALREADY, don't you think I would have avoided it?!
