One minute she was under water, getting the s**t knocked out of her by a tree, then Musica's arms were around her, and then they were out. She lay on the grass, eyes closed. "... for the record, we kicked the trees a**, ok? I am not going to get beat by a tree with anger issues." She opened her eyes, and flashed him a cocky smile. Sitting up, she wrung the water out of her hair. "... so what now? The lake was a dead end. There has to be something..." she muttered. She could feel Nikolaus' insane energy creeping into her mind again, and she shoved back, sending a mental wave of general grouchiness at his intrusion into her thoughts.

Ares shook his head slowly, contemplatively. "Then you're in the dark, I guess." He took in a deep breath and looked Odin in the eye. "Tell me, do you sense the war that is in the air? I do. I can feel it... it has already begun. The first battle has been fought, the first 'incident' has occured. There is a woman who calls herself Rotatsu Setsuka, and there are five Relics that she wishes to have more than anything else. This, right now, is a repeat of her previous attempts. She tried five years ago and she tried one thousand years ago. I gotta say, this is a much quicker comeback...

"But," he said, shaking his head slightly to clear his thoughts, "it's not a good thing at all. The Relics she's after are the legendary Godkillers. If she gets ahold of even one, she will be at least as powerful as you and I, if not more so. She will be able to kill a god then. That is what this war is about."

It felt odd, Ares realized, to say something so plainly. But this was a god who even he could recognize held some higher power than he did, even if it was in another world. "Five schools, of all the damned things, now hide the Relics. Three have been attacked, as of now, and Setsuka is at large." He looked up with a slightly challening look in his steely eyes. "Do you admit this to be a circumstance where rivalry between Olympus and your gods will only hinder?"

As much as he hated to admit it, even silently... Ares was clear-headed, for the moment, and even he realized this. The gods of everywhere, every culture, needed to do their thing and keep the Relics safe. In fact, it would be best (for the gods, at least) if the damned things could be destroyed...

Secret Kirari
((I do like the post, buuuuut... Unless she's not the result of a yokai and a human having kids, technically Akira isn't related to the demons that Nikolaus has summoned. I have a hanyou character in MFHS (Athena), and I've delved a heckuva lot into yokai, etc. I'll let Arielle do the explaining.))

Arielle stood, feeling quite a bit better thanks to the help of the spirits. She shook her head at Sensei. "As much as I appreciate your concern, there is something I think you must have overlooked. I detest demons, and I dislike yokai--the descendants of demons--but yokai left Hell over two thousand years ago. I know this because I research my enemies that they may never cause me harm. Hanyou are the result of a human mating with a yokai. Dog hanyou, as you have said, are greatly loyal, and it is widely known as their fatal flaw." She drew a breath. "But Akira will not be influenced as you predict, unless she is not hanyou but demon. The records show that yokai are no longer the same demon as these this murderer has gathered."

Arielle's eyes flashed, and it was obvious that she trusted her intellect. "And I cannot allow a demon on these grounds without purifying it. Did you never seek to find out her history? I would have never allowed Akira in if I knew her to be a demon in the truest sense of the word. She is a hanyou, and that is different. Hanyou are not under the constant influence of Hell. Hanyou, and yokai, are more influenced by this Earth and its people. When guided along the better path, hanyou can relieve themselves of the darkness that demons are forever bound to. Yokai who mate with humans are similar, though not the same as they are much more easily swayed towards the temptation of the devil."

The Headmistress' passion was clear in each word, each syllable. She was giving a lecture on the History of Magical Beings--it had been her subject to teach, an elective, prior to becoming the Headmistress. She did not lie, could not lie about this. She knew everything there was to know, even if some details were sketchy. Bai Ching did not always care to keep accurate or up-to-date records on the history of dark beings, and Arielle didn't mind that. She knew enough to know that dark beings were dark and had no cure. They could never be good.

(( And the problem is fiiixxxeedd ^^ The story lines are once again consistent lol If I need to edit this, lemme know, ok Secret?))

Sensei signed impatiently once the Headmistress finished her lecture. This was why Sensei didn't talk often; words weren't as reliable as actions were by far!!!

"True, looking upon it that way, your right. I'm sorry, I didn't say that correctly. What I meant to say is that yes, I have looked into what little history we have of Akira and what I actually meant to say was that the girl is affected, not by the Demons themselves, but their nasty aura's. This is the first time she's been exposed to any Demons or Yokai what-so-ever, and it just happens to be very angry and blood thirsty ones! Also, because of this, a very common side affect of being a Hanyou is happening to her or has already; her Yokai blood has taken over her Human blood, breaking the balance and causing a dramatic transformation and shift in strength, speed, so forth... Not to mention, the lost of Humanity and possibly sanity."

Taking deep breaths, Sensei smiled apologetically at Arielle, knowing the lady's deep hatred for anything "evil" was a touchy subject to bring up, but it had to be done for Akira's and any other Hanyou's sake.

"So, if Akira does come here, don't be surprised and just give her orders to attack those Demons out there. I can guarantee you, she will not harm you or the barrier, but deal a fatal blow to those nasty eyesores." She grinned and wagged her finger, a sign to not ask how the hell that was even possible and go with the flow.

"Trust me and the girl."

Arielle was taken aback. She realized, though, that Sensei was very right. Arielle nodded solemnly. "...I hope it will go that way," she said. But Arielle did not trust yokai, and as such, she did not trust Akira's yokai blood. The moment that it was possible, she would force the yokai blood back down and subdue it. Chances could not be taken, even with those she trusted. She sighed momentarily and let herself sink back down into the water, allowing it to wash over her. The battle still raged, but... she could sense something different in the air.

Something heavier.

Sensei sighed again, but in relief this time. No more TALKING...Well, almost.

"Alright, now that you are up to date, I will go keep an eye on the other students in the school, keep them out of this mess, make sure they don't do anything stupid...You get what I mean. good bye, Headmistress." with that said, Sensei vanished into the shadows once again.

Akira stepped forward at that moment, looking at Arielle with calm, but mischievous eyes. Instead of the usual curtsy, she went on one knee, staring at the ground before her.

"Headmistress...What are your orders?" even the girl's voice had changed, sounding colder, matured, but deadly.

Kilala hadn't followed Akira, but had actually rushed off to find Evermore, worry making her movements stiff. If anybody would be able to help her master...It would be her best friend, no?

Arielle seemed pained as she looked at Akira. This was not the girl that had come to her school... not at all. "...Hello, Akira Riiva." She wasn't sure what exactly she was to do, but she remembered what Sensei had said, and... well, she trusted Sensei, even if she did not trust Akira in her current state. "Rid the barrier of the demons, but do not touch the barrier." If Akira was to touch the barrier, it would hurt Arielle in the same way that all these demons attacking it did, though the pain had been greatly alleviated, thanks to Aphira--er, Aphrodite.

((Alb, if you don't like this, PM me before you post whatever, but I think this is pretty fair though.))

"...Very well, Headmistress."

Akira glanced at the lady in the magical lake and smiled softly, her eyes shinning her true self for a moment, before being suffocated once again.

The wind picked up suddenly as the girl got up and ran off with a speed she usually did not possess.

Kilala had just reached Evermore when Akira arrived. The feline looked at her master hopelessly, jumping onto the Fury's shoulders and stuttering mentally, resisting the urge to cry, "Akira!! S-she's, her Yokai blood, i-it's taken over!!! She's dangerous now, Evermore!! You need to help her!!! Help her snap out of it, please! I c-can't help her!!! Only you!!!"

At that moment, Akira walked over and stood next to Evermore, watching the Demons with a curious gaze and grinning, her fangs clearly visible.

"So these are the ones I gotta exterminate? Alright. Relax Twin Tails, Headmistress gave me this mission and I plan on completing it."

Kilala just gaped at her master, staying quiet.

Suddenly, the wind picked up greatly around the area. Closing her eyes and pointing towards the many Demons, she said, "Kill" and the wind blasted though the barrier, inflicting no pain or damage what-so-ever to Arielle, but once it reached the Demons...They were instantly sliced to pieces in the most gruesome way possible, as if hundreds of swords and anything sharp had been thrown endlessly.

The wave of wind continued on though the Demon army. When the frightened Demons tried to dodge or avoid the attack, they failed miserably, their weapons being destroyed as well. When some tried to use spells or chants to create barriers around themselves, the wind's NULLIFICATION power, A.K.A magical cancellation, kicked in, easily eradicated the protection, and murdered them as well. However, the wind did not harm Tyler, Nik, Ares, the Father God, or even the many animals around them because they were in fact, not Demons.

Not even ten minutes later and the endless attacks at Arielle's barrier stopped.

Nessa was watching the goings-on with wide eyes. Mostly she kept them trained on Nikolaus, should he make an unfavorable move, she would throw. Throw now? Or wait? Her hand clenched. What chance did she have? He was as fast as light, which was even faster than Ari's sound. She was just a Seer. She didn't have fantastic powers like some girls at this school.

Suddenly, Akira (or something like Akira), came running and made the wind pick up. Something was funky with the demons! Throw? Wait? Throw? Wait?... Throw?

((I don't mind Akira doing all that, but can someone explain to me how it happened? If none of the Gods could teleport or even send something through that barrier, then how could she send magic through the barrier and kill all those demons with the snap of her fingers? Maybe killing a good chunk, but killing them all? They're not all petty house demons, some are quite powerful even comparable to minor gods.))
PostPosted: Sun May 23, 2010 6:55 pm

((I don't think I made this clear about the barrier, but you can send things, non-sentient things, through the barrier. However, not a single soul can go through without permission. So axes and swords and stuff technically have no effect--when no one is touching them. So flying projectiles can go through. It's kinda like osmosis or something like that, y'know?))

Arielle was... she wasn't sure. Disgusted and awed at the same time. But mostly disgusted. It was horrifying. Her student was--was killing! Sure, she was killing demons who didn't deserve life for the horrors they'd committed, but... Dear heavens above, what had she done?! Why?

Arielle was determined, at that moment, to ensure that Akira would have greater control over her yokai blood. Intense classes would be set up. This could not happen again. Arielle would never forgive herself.

((I sent the PM and yup, like a huge tidal wave drowning them, they weren't ready for it and have no defence against the element wind what-so-ever, besides, Akira right now is equal to a very strong Demon))

((*Shrugs* I guess that will work I suppose. Though I might wait a bit before posting just to make sure things are all together.

Not to make an a** of myself here or anything, but I must speculate. What's to say they did have a defense against wind? What if they weren't all tangible demons but more so spirits? Just speculating here, not like I'm going to use that idea or anything.... or maybe I will >.>))
