Wow, so the health reform bill may benefit both your parents. That's great. I hope it does. Too bad it will become effective a little at a time between now and 1014. People need help now. Oh well, better late than never, right?!
Now some states are challenging the constitutionality of parts of it. I don't think much of the current Supreme Court. Sorry, but I don't.

Possibly yes, the prescriptions they take would prob. be a lot cheaper and they wouldnt have to go threw some of the insurance hassle most likely.
I have heard about that, I dont think the Supreme Court is very good either and it hasent seemed to have improved since I can remember anything about it.

I would just love to have a simplified version of it available to the public. I just can't get past all that legal jargon they use.

3nodding Yes, it is very hard to understand. I agree there needs to be a publicly viewable version thats acceptible to us that we can read.

The media isn't doing a very good job of informing the public. And now the Republicans are putting up stumbling blocks that require the bill go back to Congress for some procedural reason. The Party of No. They don't have my vote. And the NC representatives are especially embarrassing. I cringe when they show up on the news babbling some annoying point of view.
Sorry. Off my soapbox now.
Yes I hope when the health care bill is finalized we'll get a summary of the high points.
Giesta, do you know that Walmart offers many prescriptions for $4 a month? Sorry if I mentioned it before. I think it's amazing. I don't know how they can afford to do it. But it doesn't apply to all prescriptions. Why do I have the vague quasi-memory that you told me your parents' prescriptions aren't eligible for the $4 rate.

Its okay Harvey, everyone in entitled to thier veiws and opinons. 3nodding
I do admit right now its hard to be plesed with the reactions and in-fighting going on in the Senate and Congress and thier handling of the Health Bill.
I am kinda watching with sceptiscism, I am going to see how all of it plays out but I am kinda interested in the long term effects of the Health Bill on people and that will definately determine my vote next election. 3nodding
You did tell me, and yes, me and my parents arnt eligible for it. We me and my parents have for the most part (NON-Generic) prescriptions and they usually are the ones that Wal-Mart doesnt cover. sweatdrop

That's unfortunate... do you know when the generics will be developed? Isn't it a 12 year wait? I'm not sure...

I meant that Wal-Mart doesnt carry the generics of the Meds. me and my parents take.
I accidently said "Non Generics" when I meant generics of the meds me and my parents take.

Off the top of my head, I think new drugs patents are protected for 17 years before generics can be marketed. *runs to Wikipedia to check* "In the US, drug patents give twenty years of protection, but they are applied for before clinical trials begin, so the effective life of a drug patent tends to be between seven and twelve years."http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Generic_drugs

I see, thx for the info. I knew there was a limit to the time a drug goes threw testing till it can be marketed. 3nodding

Yup drug testing is an interesting subject. I actually worked at a big international drug company for a little while. They had a huge staff of very smart scientists who spent a lot of time and money inventing new cures and then testing them.

Talking with co-workers is a great benefit. I get a little of that too. It looks like it's going to be a very busy week for me. How about you? Much overtime?
