Its similar to what you said. You have to get four lines for one die roll in your training, and you need a certain amount of successes to pass pretty much. After you learn a Jutsu your good... but as far as trying to level up goes... its near impossible to stick with it for Exp.

If I can put in my two cents.
I also agree an system based on luck is kind of silly for practices such as push ups. I remember as a kid I could do push ups no problem, so to say you failed your first push up, or pass your first and fail your second, seems rather silly. As a ninja no less whom I assume are better candidates one way or another over the every day student?

It is simple enough and is basically applicable to every exercise out there... but the truth is, the system works, it does. It just places a discouraging toll upon the mind of the writer trying to train a Shinobi from scratch though. Because you can only write so much to yourself. Once you add up about 350 self training, four liner legible and fluent posts to yourself... and you get to about level 3 and 1/2 with that... it adds up.

All we need now is an example battle thread and I'll be **pretty much** set to get to work on opening up Taki again. ((I just want to see how battling works now if it's different at all from the last system.
Ps... I don't need to see Taijutsu. razz ))
I've studied the new system, and it doesn't seem that different from the last one, with a few exceptions, ((and I don't mean the numbers game)). Several skills were merged: Spot/Listen into Awareness and other changes.
@Kouri specifically: Since Naka already knew the Sword of Draining technique ((a non-updated version of it)); would she need to re-train to learn the new version or could I just switch them out. Also... what became of the Leech All Creation Jutsu? Do we have something equivalent to it's ability of merging? I ask because both techniques were in Naka's possession and need to be changed. ((I also figured out what I meant via Multi-Stage Jutsu. It's only multi-staged to learn it via training. Otherwise, it's a simple set of hand-seals to use.))

I'm offering a 10k reward to the first person to find Hiro Knight's art of Zenjin/Hyousetsu/Ayala for me. I've searched in every single on of my galaries, and I can't find it, and I KNOW he posted it here somewhere. gonk
You'd think I'd have been smart enough to save it... 3nodding

Hey Nice to see you back Rachel!
If your character knew a previous version that was updated, just update it to the new one. It's the same technique, just updated to the new system! Even though I was in charge of updating most of the village specific jutsus, I do not know of the Leech All Creation Jutsu... it must have been removed or forgotten even before our update... If you still have an old version of it just post it in the approvals forum and we can update it to the new system!
For an FAQ on battles yes it could be clearer, I'll see if we can do something about a thread putting examples of it for the new system!
Before we get Taki going, maybe you can make a jounin in the Mist to help Mokujin out with all the students, he is kind of over stretched right now sweatdrop
That 10k is tempting... xd

I completely understand the need for charries, but if I can't even get my own village operational, how's that going to look. *lol* ((But I promise I'll take it under consideration.))
Since you're here, maybe you can just explain it to me via battles. Like, do we still use the jutsu and use the appropriate "Save"? If so, then I won't need to see a thread.
If you'd like, I'll take over an NPC to help with the students, but I really don't want to make a second charrie right now. ((My baby... aka Taki... comes first. razz ))
I'm tempted to increase it to 15k. I miss that artwork. heart

For combat with genjutsu, yes the principle is still the same with the will saves. Of course, like every aspect of the system, we'll have to see someone actually use it in battle before we reevaluate or balance it out but for now it still works the same!
Thanks for the offer to take a NPC in Kiri! And don't worry, I'm aware your unconditional love for Takigakure wink . Still, right now with less villages we have an interesting going where both our villages are working on all cylinders with many characters that can interact together. It seems to be keeping more people active than when we divided everything into all the villages.
I'll look up your jutsu right now!
