They may not be gods, but they are in fact venerated as gods.
Look at it this way. People are stupid, stupid creatures, and will throw money and worship at a lot of things. You needn't be a literal god to be worshipped as one. Otherwise cults just wouldn't work.
@Darth - Aye, you're right on all counts. 'course, that's not getting into all the other pantheonic bullshit of the other games in WoD, like Gaia and the Wyrm. It's all a big bundle of ******** up to try and wrap one's head around all of it.

@Daeva - Later generations have thinner blood, and so their powers are more diluted and weaker. The closer you get to Caine (and the earlier your generation) the more powerful you are, since the blood isn't as watered down.
@Butterfly - Personally, I dunno. I'm not too much a fan of playing divinity except as an NPC to move plots along for people.

Flightless Butterfly Busy. My regular Rp partner is going to France for a wedding and vacation, so nothing really to do other than homework. Which I notoriously procrastinate on. How have you been, and what have you been up to? I feel you on procrastination. Oh nothing, just got a major infection in the blood and I have to take strong meds that make me enter vampire status since I can't go outside. (For the next week). The good news is that the infection has weakened and that I'm only staving off a minor portion of it, but I still can't go out in the sunlight since it affects my meds. But otherwise I'm just relaxing and enjoying the last week of summer break before summer school.

Daeva Nazarian How are the earlier generations crazier? The way I read it, the longer they live with the 'disease' of being a vampire, the more they lose their sense of humanity. Older = More powerful, and power in all it's forms corrupts an individual. They don't even pretend to be human, and use their children as pawns in games to amuse themselves to pass the centuries. A general disinterest in growing attached to things that will simply fade, die, or be consumed tends to develop into a complacency towards living. Not sure how that fits in with the concept of Heaven and Hell though. There is supposed to be a way for a vampire to transcend into heaven, but I don't think it's part of the WoD mythos.

Tanith Ah I see. Well from my knowledge that isn't entirely true within the WoD realms but many other vampire based things have that understanding.
