You know what really grinds my gears?

EV training.

It's a waste of goddamn time, yet not exploiting it results in you getting called an unintelligent n00b.
Yeah I just look at them stats that are already in there and make sure my pokermanz have high HP, Attack, and good moves.

Pokemon is not Rocket Science. It was never intended to be that.
Yeah. I just get pokemon I like and have them kill other peoples pokemon that they love. I never cared about stats or any of that.

I look at my pokemon's base stats, but don't really go beyond that. I might go as far as to go for a good nature, but not as far as EV training.

I only paid attention to those extra abilities if they actually show some sort of help, like Dratini's shed skin or abilities that cause status affects when the Pokemon that have them are hit with physical moves. Or Levitate. That move be a big reason to evolve Haunter into Gengar.

Breeding for the right ability and nature is as far as I ever go. Scizor's Technician ability turns Bullet Punch into really hard-hitting move.

Like I never cared for Nature. And yeah, the ability was important. I have looked for other electric pokemon that had Static or something instead of the Special Attack raiser. If I needed stats I would shove Proteins and Calciums down their throats

I do use some competitive playstyle thinking when building my team, but really...AI opponents are just going to hit you with what they got. They won't use elaborate strategies.

I don't even know what Nature even does.

I don't even know what Nature even does.

Gives increases to certain stats and I think it affects IV scores.

So yesterday I decided "******** it."

I didn't want to waste my time training my current SS team, so I just broke out my uber team with Arceus to fight Red.

No regrets.

That's one of the notable exceptions. Except a lot of the time it's not a question of "my team sucks" it's more about the computer being a cheating b*****d by staking the odds against the players to break their winning streaks.

Like this one person who brought in a hacked team full of Pokemon with one-hit KO moves and passive abilities that makes the moves of both sides never miss. Every opponent he faced had teams of Pokemon with passive abilities that made them immune to one-hit KO's.
