I dislike background stories. They are a pain in the a** to write.

Ive found that if you have a good idea of who you want to be now, then writing your back story is a bit easier.

Hello Conrade.
I also know way too much about Naruto, virtually everything besides filler.
I like writing my background, because it's fun making my character's personality based on it.

I would have to say that I am also someone who dislikes writing background stories. I find that it is basically useless for me, since I develop my character through interaction. I usually come to the table with a clearly formed character in my head, but rarely do I develop it with a background in mind.
I think it really depends on the person. Some people like using backgrounds to help them flesh out a character, others find it to be a annoying chore. To each their own really.

I'm with Armads. I'd rather figure a character out after making him work with others.

I just Bs back stories and develop the character as I go. I mean, its not like anyone reads them more than once :B

He didn't even have a name until i thought about his team to add more NPCs XD
