Veroen quickly re-thought about what he was doing. He had the urge to drink, for the first time in a while.
His thoughts then turned to Maku. Perhaps his human friend would be up for a drink and conversation?
With a single thought, he sent Maku a text message using the Void. The Void could be anywhere, at anytime. He knew that with luck, Maku would be somewhere in Haven. The Void would be able to find Maku's location as long as he was in the same area of its destination.
Veroen let out a sigh, and clenched his fists. He would not leave this matter without surveillance. With a single thought, almost in the same way as Alasdair, he summoned a Void Vampire minion and it melted into view from the shadows.
Veroen looked at the Void Vampire for a moment, and whispered quietly. "I want you to watch Edith for me. And report to me in an hour, or if Ceon tries something on Edith. I expect you to be quick about it."
With a silent nod, the Void Minion disappeared in a cloud of shadow, and appeared on a rooftop half a mile away from Edith and Ceon. The Void minion had a pair of binoculars and silently watched the two, out of sight, and downwind, undetectable.
Veroen let out a sigh, and dissipated into shadow, to Demonic Ties, hoping that Maku would accept the invitation.

Daiguren didn't follow the vampire but just kinda stood there looking up into the sky, "Ah what might happen if this world is cast back to those times....maybe that is what he wants." His spear having already vanished and he started to walk off. D dropped down from the roof top to street level and started walking the streets again and observing the beings around him rather lazily .

The world was alive with his renewed senses. Though he had only feed hours ago, the virgin blood felt like a new recent feed every second, pulsing his undead body to new extremities. With unusually heightened senses and the vigor of someone in his prime, the pale skin dark cloaked man continued his casual walk along New York. Radiating his aura of hate and fear upon the puny mortals, the wide brim hat remained low to hide most of the vampire's features except for his fanged grin that played across his face. It attracted a lot of attention on those busy streets, as the word about Immortals amongst the Mortals has been a popular subject in the world.
Pathetic is what it is. These mortals should be fearing us and be on their knees, begging for mercy. Instead, they hate us and attempt to kill us. This thought caused a strange grunt to emerge from the monster's throat as he raised his hat ever so slightly to spot a handful of men, dressed in black, walking towards him. Despite his ward, these men, in groups, mustered what courage (or stupidity) they had to harass the dark figure. Such stupid monkeys. I shall teach them a lesson they wish they'd never learn.
"Hey! Bloodsucker! Yeah, I can see them fangs! You a f*ckin' vampire!" One of the men astutely stated, pointing at the cloaked man as he continued to walk along the street. The others, all dressed in similar fashion and armed with improvised weapons, namely wooden table legs with sharpened ends. The others remained silent as their eyes narrowed upon the hate radiating vampire.
"Tony, I think our friend here is scared. Perhaps we should protect him. Heh, heard a couple of guys are stakin' these f*ckers left and right." Another gentleman in black mused. In his hand, a machete with dried crusty blood laced the edge of the blade, hinting to uses other than cutting down the thick brushes of New York. "Yeah...we should..." The man continued as he then decided to rush up behind the vampire with the large blade, swinging it lower hand in hopes of catching the dark cloaked figure off guard.
Not bothering to dodge or move out of the way, the vampiric being took the slash into his back. The blade tore through the already worn thick black cloak and into the soft flesh below. Blood oozed from the new wound as the wide brim hat traveler stumbled forward some and bounced off a wall to fall into a dark alley. Seeing this as their advantage, the men, all seven of them, gathered around and begin their assault. However, instead of stabbing the vampire with their stake-like weapons, they beat him with it like clubs and other bludgeoning devices. Those armed with a machete and other sharp objects simply slashed at the dark lump of vampire flesh, glee of violence in their eyes and voice as they hooted and heckle with each merciless attack.
"Die bloodsucker! Die! Stupid vampires! Eat sh*t and die!" One by one, the seven men continued their assault on the Immortal, unaware that the vampire was snickering beneath his assailants. In a flurry of movement from the ground, three men fell back as they screamed from the top of their lungs. From the knee below, their legs were missing. Blood quickly began to filled the dirty dark alleyway as another two men began to realize their hands, which held their weapons were gone as well. Now seeing the folly of their ways, those who were untouched stopped and fell back, not bothering to comfort their fallen comrades.
Slowly rising from the ground like a demon from Hell, his cloak being the portal to this gateway, the wide brim hat man raised his head ever so slightly to reveal his piercing glowing red eyes and the devilish smile upon his face. Blood dripped along the corner of his mouth as his unusually long tongue reached out to lick it up. His hands, now morphed into a monster's claw, began to click it's sharp talons together.
"I pray to you father, to forgive your sheep for their ignorance. May they seek comfort and solace in your radiant presence." The monstrosity before them echoed, its voice hollow and filled with mockery. Gripping their weapons till their knuckles were white, the men began to slowly backing out of the alley, at least the three who remained on their feet. One was holding his hand tightly in his black clothing, hoping to staunch the bleeding of the stump while the other two, armed with the makeshift stakes began to cry silently. The other four, two of which passed out due to blood loss and shock, remained on the floor, nursing their wounds as they whimpered for mercy from the black clothed man.
"Do not be afraid, my precious sheep...the lord forgives all..." The vampire cooed in his hollow and malicious voice, its monster smile spreading even further than before. Frozen in fear, the three men standing suddenly fell on their knees, words of incoherent speech escaping from their lips as they felt death before them. Once more, in a blur of dark movements, two out of the three men lied on the ground, surrounded in their life fluids. Their necks had been brutally ripped from them. In his claws, the flesh belonging to the men dripped with the fresh blood from the kills. Taking it to his lips, the pale skinned man licked the blood with restrained pleasure and joy. His body gave a shiver as his eyes closed for a brief moment.
"Tell the other humans Father Cain has come to cleanse the sins of this city. Tell them they come after the darkness, the darkness will find them. It will eat them and enjoy the feast upon their souls. Tell them." Stomping on the necks of the unconscious, causing a loud crack to echo the alley, the dark figure took the two on the ground by the the collar of their shirts and dragged them deeper into the shadows of the alley. It wasn't long for the lone man on his knees to hear the cries of his comrades before nothing but silence and darkness greeted his senses.
Dirty and covered in the blood of his friends, the lone survivor of the seven man crew of wannabe vampire hunters, got up and began to run in the streets. With soiled pants from fear, the lone man ran past several other people, mumbling about a priest. "He's coming. Father C-C-C-Cain is coming." Eventually his tired legs could go no further as he fell into a nook between two brick buildings in the street. People eyed the man with disgust, assuming him to be another vagabond of the city. "He's comin'...death..." In one quick moment, the man fell to his knees and began sobbing, traumatized by the fall of close friends and his near death experience.
"Why, God? Why have you abandon us?" The man cried, only then to feel a claw reach out from above and upon his face. The sharp thick talons dug deep into the skin, piercing through the flesh to cause blood to spill out of the man's neck as he was dragged up along the wall and over to the roof. There, in his last moments of death, he saw the eyes belonging to the vampire from earlier.
"The Lord does not like it when weak mortals question his decisions." With that, the wide brim hat wearing man leaned in and tore into the man's throat, draining him of his blood before ripping his head off and chucking the body over the roof edge, aiming to cause as much a scene in the mortal's world below as possible. Rising from his position, the vampire continued to smile as he dived towards another rooftop, leaping from rooftop to rooftop with inhuman agility and speed till he was some distance away from the grisly killings.

Ceon nodded slowly, "I wouldn't expect any less from you, but I'm willing to work to gain your respect and your trust. I want to get closer to you, no matter what the cost. I want to be more than just the guy that comes to visit his kids whenever he is around town." Ceon stopped walking and turned to Eden. "I've disappeared before, and I've insulted you countless times, but I just want all of those memories to be behind you and me. I want your forgiveness almost as much as I want to be able to be an actual father for my kids."

The guy had a lot of nerve for all the countless times he'd insulted her and rejected her proposals of how things would work for them only to completely disappear off the radar and come back expecting things to be on good terms. Sure he was more polite about it and wasn't losing his temper or trying to kill her, things like that but the past in certain aspects was the best way to judge someone's integrity and honesty in the future. Ceon hadn't been willing to accommodate her in the first place so what about that had changed? Either way it didn't matter all that much. Maybe they could repair their broken up relationship but it wasn't going to be anything more than friendship as far as she was concerned. "You will be the father of these kids if you want to be but that's up to you. As for us, there isn't going to be an us if that's what you're trying to get at. Sure we can be friends and try to forget about the past but I'm not wiping the slate clean until I have reason to believe that you're actually going to do this and you're actually going to be civil. You don't need to be with me in order to be a proper father to your kids and I hope you've realized that on this 'meditation session' otherwise you're convincing yourself you're getting somewhere when you're actually running in circles."

Ceon became hurt by her words. She seemed to have no hope that Ceon could change. "Why can't there be? You seem to think that nobody can change once they go bad, especially me. You don't trust that I can be anything other than a mutt and a murderer. Is it because of Veroen? He left you too, in case you haven't noticed." Ceon's eyes glistened with hurt as he gripped his forehead, but his collected posture still remained.

[[Edit]] Veroen's Void minion wanted to hear where the conversation was going, so he dissipated, and stepped out of the Void, about 3 buildings away from Ceon and Meredith. As the minion did so, he heard the mutt mention something about his summoner, Veroen. He hid himself well, and listened silently, ready to disappear and report to Veroen if anything happened. However, the Void minion switched on his comlink, so Veroen could hear the conversation.

Marcus sighed as he walked alone on the streets, noticing the once busy streets were slowly beginning to thin out with folks. Eventually, he reached an area in the city in which hardly no one moved about other than a few bums here and there. Dressed in his worn hunter armor, the dark haired and tired hunter listlessly placed his hand on the top of his automatic rifle, his eyes glancing here and there for anything suspicious. Soon, morning would come, but there was still night in the air. And when there was night, there was trouble.
Sighing once more, the man then began to think about Kerrigan, wondering what the woman was doing now and what she was going to do with her Ex back. A grunt emitted from him as he shook his head. "If I were her, I'd re-evaluate everythin'. Heh, he is mister perfect." The man mused as he continued to walk through the dark streets, passing many closed establishment.

A black robed figure stalked the streets, skulking about with his head low, and a hood over his features. The figure had a lit cigarette in his right hand, and both hands wore fingerless gloves. His body moved with an expression of sorrow leaking from his pose. His head rose to look down an alleyway, scanning for something.
Seeing nothing, the man walked past the alleyway, rubbing the back of his neck, and looked around him as he continued walking. He took little notice of much, really, just making sure he knew where he was. The figure sighed heavily. 'God damn it...'

The world continued to pulse with so many different scents and sounds from all kinds of life in that city night. It was something the wide brim hat vampire hadn't experienced in a long time, at least not in the small villages and towns he menaced. No, this busy world was so much different and so much more fun. The pale skinned man couldn't recall a time he had been this active for a very long time. Then again, his recent activity was due mostly from what he has heard happened here. Mortals now knew of Immortals and aimed to eradicate them, or at least try. An amused grunt came from that thought from the vampire.
But as he was contemplating how things have changed on his little perch high on the rooftops, a familiar scent struck his nose. Glancing in the direction of the smell, the vampire sneered as his once brown eyes morphed into the color of blood. In a second, his hands warped into sharp talons as his lust for violence grew in him. Somewhere to his right, the man who hurt him walked the streets. I knew this night would get better... The puritan thought, silently thanking God for vengeance. As he moved, thoughts of his battle with the man from earlier flashed through his head, causing a phantom pain to shot along the area he was once shot.
With inhuman speed and agility, the bestial vampire leap from rooftop to rooftop till he reached a spot where his keen eyesight spotted the man by himself. There, a wide twisted demonic grin played out as his sharp incisors grew in anticipation of blood. But then the man in black noticed something. He was alone. Scanning the area once more, the vampire felt nothing but glee in his heart. The hunter was alone and armed with his pathetic mortal weapon. Last time, he had the edge due to distance, but not now. Not while the dark figure was still fresh from his virgin kill as well as the blood of those seven wannabe hunters. Silently falling back into the shadows, the monster fell down the street and waited in the darkness till the man would pass him.

Something felt strange around the dark streets as the lone hunter continued to walk on. Adjusting his hand now on the handle of his modified MP-5 and flicking it on automatic, Marcus just had a sixth sense something bad was going to go down. Scanning the area in hope of finding a hint of trouble, Marcus was disappointed to find nothing.
"Heh, Guess Omega Hunter was right. Maybe I am paranoid." The dark haired man grunted as he continued moving along the streets, his hand never falling away from the grip of his gun as his eyes darted into every dark alley and corner he past, waiting for something dreadful to happen.

Veroen was traveling over the rooftops, toward where Edith and Ceon were located, but he caught the scent of Marcus. He felt bad for ditching his human friend. Subtle guilt manifested itself inside him. He let out a sigh, knowing that his Void minion would let him know if anything more happened with Edith and Ceon.
He stopped once he saw Marcus walking down the sidewalk. With little effort, he vanished into the void, reappearing next to his human friend in a flash of darkness, assuming the same pace as Marcus.
"My apologies, Marcus. It seems as though I cannot make up my mind this night."
He continued walking next to Marcus, wondering what his human friends reply would be.

Marcus chuckled as he relaxed a bit, lowering his automatic weapon down a bit as his other vampiric friend suddenly reappeared next to him. "Goddammit! Can't you vampires just call or warn me whenever you are gonna do that?" The man then began to laugh as he shook his head, waving away the apology. "And don't go apologizing either. I know you got a lot happening with you. Heh, I saw Edith when you vanished on her at the bar, remember? She looked worried..." The man paused as he gave a shrug and offered a friendly smile.
"But no worries, my friend. How's things treatin' ya? Feel like talkin' or you here hopin' to kill me by heart attack?"
