Konton tilted his head slightly, "Then... perhaps if you give the winged boy over to me... I will not ask the Tarnb-jin's location." he smiled. "Surely you could give me Aoikage for the chance to save your lover from further persuit. Perhaps... if Vincent wishes, you shall remain under his charge and his alone... but ONLY for the boy."

"Who do you think I am?!" Morrigan asked indignantly, narrowing her eyes. "I already told you, I won't lower myself to any of your bargains! Even if I wanted to give you Aoikage, I can't access him! Only the druids can, and they're all safely tucked away!!" she shouted, pulling her chin free. "You've decieved my brother! He isn't himself; MY brother wouldn't agree with any of this!" She had such fire, and such passion; it was harder and harder for her to keep calm, even if she wanted to be. He was offering some pretty hard deals, though it didn't matter. She'd rather die.

Konton looked to Vincent. 'If Aoikage is in our possession, we can FIND the Tarnb-jin.' the demon's voice floated into the man's mind. 'She must tell us how to get the child.'

Vincent shook his head. "She tells the truth," he spoke openly, "The realm they are within can only be accessed by a druid or druidess. She isn't lying. The rest of our clan is in this place---it's like a faery world beyond our own in comparison with Earth..." he tried to explain. "Without her magick, even if she told you, you couldn't get there. You have to know where you're going after all." Morrigan didn't smile or show any expression, blank and grim. "You won't get anything from me, either of you," she promised, "I swear on pain of death."

Konton's eyes narrowed in anger. "Then we continue to search for the Tarnb-jin." the demon spoke, glancing to Vincent. "Once Po-ar is gone, your sister will be safe from his hands... from his will."

"Don't LISTEN!" Morrigan fumed, screaming up at Vincent, "GET A HOLD OF YOURSELF! Konton is OUR ENEMY VINCENT!" Vincent shrugged. "He was before. Not anymore." "How do you expect to find him, hm?" Morrigan asked haughtily, glaring. "You can't track him through me any longer." She was fully aware of what she had gotten herself into, and even Vincent picked up on her motives. "So that's why you came here...." Morrigan's eyes had never shone so brightly, or so proudly for that matter. She didn't need to answer. How she held herself said it plain enough. Vincent was incensed to no end.

"We will find him." Konton replied, his voice a mere hiss as he turned from Morrigan for a moment. The demon thought for a long time. 'It seems, Naga, that this Tarnb-jin will be harder to track than I thought. I would use the aid of your agents.'

Naga was sitting in a tree on Earth at this point, awaiting reports from his aforementioned agents; he was surprised to hear from Konton, actually. "What," he asked the open air, "You can't convince Vincent to track Morrigan?"
Morrigan was deathly silent, keeping her secrets to herself. To spill them would be perilous; she wouldn't betray Po-ar in such a way. There had never, ever been a time when she had been without magick for so long, let alone without it and in such danger. For the first time she was grateful to be without it. Without her senses, they couldn't force her to betray Po-ar, and for that she was relieved. Vincent watched her carefully, quiet. He was observing something most could not; between him and Morrigan, their bond was strong. Without her magick, however, it was more like a one-way mirror. One could see in, but the other couldn't see out. It took little effort to figure out who was where. "What's on your mind, little sister?" Vincent asked darkly, almost amused. Morrigan wouldn't answer.

'We have Morrigan.' Konton's thoughts replied. 'But she knows not where Po-ar has gone, and without her magic, can not find him.'

Naga raised an eyebrow. "But you have the magick." he reminded, "She doesn't need very much to sense him, you know. It's one of the easier feats. I suppose I'll send the rest out. Almost everyone is combing here now, to be honest, but Earth is still a large place. We can't cover every spot every second. There's always the chance that a place we combed through before now hides him from us---and don't even get me started on the lower levels!" he grumbled. Yes, Earth had many, many, many secret places. "But I mean, you have a link. Why not use it?" he asked, shrugging a bit. "Would even that little holiness kill your future kid?"

Konton's eyes narrowed as he heard this last portion. 'It may... though I suppose I could transfer some of the magic to Vincent. Would that not make him able to sense the Tarnb-jin?'

Naga thought long over this, chin in his hands. "Honestly, I don't know." he responded, "However, I would advise against it. Vincent was never very strong with magick anyhow, save typical fae-things, not like Morrigan. What to her is a little bit of magick might be a lot, lot more than Vincent can handle-----let alone what you would want to give him. Either one of two or three things would happen: first, if it IS too drastic a change, you might end up killing him outright. Think.... Well, think back to when you nearly died taking her energy to begin with." he elaborated, "It would be a lot like that, save it wouldn't be the holiness so much as the energy itself. The second possible outcome would be that, given their relation, he takes oddly well to the energy-----or you manage to give Morrigan a new body to borrow. One or the other are bad, but then what if it's both?" Naga shifted himself in the tree, thinking. "Finally, there's the chance he'll reject it outright, being it's his sister's energy and not his own. From what I'd guess, she wouldn't want him to have it, especially if he's in the state he is now---no will, no way. However...." he thought, tapping his lip with his finger, "If worse comes to worse with the child, can't you do it again? There's always the option of not risking it----you could make her a trap instead," he suggested, "After all, how do you think Po-ar would react if he discovered his dear priestess was tainted so? It would easily enrage him beyond sane-thought. He'd be blinded by madness."
Morrigan had started to watch Konton however, getting the odd feeling that there was more going on than she was aware of. She began to focus, closing her eyes. "I won't let Po-ar come here, either," she added out of nowhere, "He won't come, regardless of what I go through. I made him swear!" "All the better," Vincent muttered, "for when we break his spirit by forcing him to break such a geis." Morrigan was growing angrier and angrier as time passed. "HE WON'T!!" she argued, "HE SWORE!" Vincent smirked. "Since when could you trust him anyhow?" "The umpteenth time he saved my life!" Morrigan snapped, "REMEMBER! Vincent, SNAP OUT OF IT!" And for a minute, it seemed that maybe he was starting to; however, his face returned to the stoic, emotionless mask it had been when they had found her. The poison was weakening.

Konton noticed this change in Vincent, but the demon merely smiled. "Dear Morrigan, I am afraid he WILL come..." 'I know you can hear me, Tarnb-jin.' the demon's thoughts went out. 'Pay close attention. If you do not come for your lover, I will make sure she is tainted beyond repair. Already an evil grows within her, one of my creation. They grow quite quickly, my children... and soon it will devour her from the inside, causing your precious Morrigan to become a slave to my very will. Soon, she will be nothing more than a shell... and not long later... the child will become your lover, and she will be a demon for eternity.' "Yes, Morrigan... Po-ar will come." Konton glanced over to Vincent. The demon opened his portal, and a table of food and drink appeared before them. "I find myself quite parched after all of this running around." Konton spoke, pouring himself a goblet of wine and quickly drinking it down. He filled a goblet for Vincent and for Morrigan as well, though he doubted the later would drink it. "Join me, Vincent, in a celebratory drink to mark this most wonderful of occassions. Soon, the Tarnb-jin shall be no more, and your sister, free of this thrall."
~ ~ ~
Po-ar had heard every word... and now, despite his promise, he was running straight out toward Morrigan.

Even if Morrigan wanted to get drunk beyond all repair, she couldn't. How Vincent binded her prevented usage of her arms at all. She was watching them closely. Even without magick, she still could tell something was wrong; she could feel it in her gut.... But then again, that could be anything, right? "He swore..." Morrigan protested, but her voice wasn't as assured as before. She felt ill in all honesty; she closed her eyes, swooning for a second. Focusing on her breath, she rested her temple to her knees. Vincent however was just the opposite, drinking liberally and eating his fill. "This certainly is pleasing," he grinned, "How did you plan to ensure his arrival?"

Konton smiled, "Now that is a secret, Vincent." the demon laughed. Unbeknownst to Vincent, Konton had dipped the cup from which he drank, in the same poison that put the man under his sway to begin with. Morrigan's cup had been under the same treatment, but she would not drink, as he knew. "But Po-ar will come... as fast as his legs can take him."
