➟Glad that he wasn't the source of the problem, Takeshi grinned. "Good. For a moment I thought I had done something serious to offend you, without knowing of course. I always tease people, you'll probably find that out sooner or later." The young blonde was fine grinning, that was until what he had heard next. "What do you mean you can't? It's really easy, you just exchange a few blows on your training partner until they give in." He was sure that Mina would be fine, but he just didn't see why she couldn't. "So your not allowed to touch anyone? Well that's just strange, no offense of course. Says who? Touching things is a part of daily life, without this sense we'd be out of place." Takeshi poked Xuza gently on the arm. "See?" His point may have fallen flat, seeing as how he didn't really back it up with anything really.

"Yeah, maybe she... Ok, I got nothin'." She did have something, but she didn't want to regale the two with her knowledge of Marvel characters.
"If it's something bad, you don't have to say... But I got my powers from a curse, so you know..." Xuza used an age old tactic to get Mina to open up: leveling. If she told her damage, Mina would tell hers to give the both of them perspective on their situations.
"I can touch things and people. But not people sensitive to souls. It's something to do with my own. All I know is that when I was a child I was..." Mina remained silent for a few moments. "I.. Don't want to talk about it." Her gaze shifted to the floor. Even the thought of what had happened back then made her blood run cold.
➟"Oh... I'm sorry." Takeshi was beginning to feel awful after coming off so strong. "You don't have to say anything you don't want to." Takeshi turned to Xuza and winked. "You don't have to either." From time to time Takeshi forgot that he wasn't the only one that had baggage, there were others that had issues. The only difference is that Takeshi would do anything to avoid talking about his past. It isn't something he would bring up, even with the people closest to him most likely. "Xuza here was cursed, she has this strange laugh." And there he went teasing again. "It's actually kind of cute. How did it go again? Fufufu! Well, like that?" He tried to mimic her laugh to take Mina's mind off of things, plus it'd probably cheer her up to laugh. Then again every once in awhile he'd check on Xuza, just to make sure she wasn't too annoyed. "Hey! By the way Xuza, Rogue and Mina are most likely not the same. I doubt that she absorbs the life-force of people when she touches them. Wait. Does Rogue absorb the life-force of people? It's been so long since I picked up a comic book so I wouldn't know."

"You didn't even get it right!" He totally got it right, and Xuza gave it away by crossing her arms and pouting a bit.
"Rogue does steal the life energy of whoever she touches; the only one she can't kill is Wolver-- ... Nevermind."
"So... It only works on people sensitive to souls? That's not Rogue..."
"That seems more convenient. Hmm... I heard there was a guy around here who could see almost everything about a soul: color, mood, even where it'd been recently! I wonder what he'd have to say about it--your situation that is."
"So, yeah... Let's get back to work, Takeshi. Mina, you can come hang out it you want. I don't think I'm that soul sensitive, but if you don't wanna chance it, that's cool too."
Mina was a bit quiet as she watched the two. They seemed like close friends and she smiled. "I'd like that... And maybe I could try practicing with you." Her smile was quite nervous since she hadn't seen the effects of her power on anyone in years and wasn't sure if it had changed at all.
➟"Great!" He smiled, glad that everyone was getting along well. And now the sad past talk seemed, well, in the past. "Oh come on Xuza, you totally know I got it right! You just don't want to admit it, it's okay to feel a little embarrassed!" Takeshi laughed, he was having so much fun messing with Xuza. "Wolverine? The guy with the awesome claws? Wouldn't it be cool to have awesome claws like that? It'd make things so much easier." It was weird how the subject was changed to marvel in the first place, but Takeshi enjoyed it. "Sensitive souls? You certainly bring in an air of mystery. Well let's get to training, but go easy on me Xuza. I don't want a broken nose..."

The day was still young and there had much training left to be done: if Xuza wanted to rectify her own inequity, she couldn't do it as one.
"Yeah? Keep talking like that and you'll end up like that boxer boy!"
"Come on, I won't mess you up. It's not like you're taking me on with just your fists or anything." She walking to the field now, looking back to make sure Mina was coming.
"At least you'll get to see a good show of me pummeling this guy!" And with that, the excited meister broke into a full run to the main field, a giant smile on her face. This was by far the happiest she'd been the entire time she was here.]/color]
Mina followed Xuza to the field. It was great to meet such nice people so soon after arriving in Death City. With any luck she'd be able to relax a bit before having her private practice for the stage show. "So you are you two meisters?" She realized she hadn't asked this question before it would be interesting to see how meisters fought without a weapon.
➟Following the two happily, he readied himself mentally. "Boxer boy!? I'm not one for hitting ladies but I'm not sexist enough to deny some combat to one!" Xuza wasn't the only one having fun, Takeshi was enjoying the time spent with the two. "We'll see just who it is taking a beating once we start this thing." Takeshi laughed at Xuza's enthusiasm, it would be wrong not to give her some training she could really get pumped for. "I'm a meister. I think Xuza's one as well, but I can't be too certain. Or did she tell me that already?" Takeshi declined thinking on it too long, he wanted to train a bit himself. "You can go first again, Xuza!"

"Yes, we're both meisters... Someone would remember us having this talk already..." Complete with glare.
"Anyway! Don't blink 'cause I'm about to show this guy what a real meister can do!"
"You're sure you want me to go first? Oh well, no take-backs! Weapons up..." Xuza used this time to pull her cutlass out of the air. Well, off the wall, but to the eye it would appear to be from the air. She swung her sword around twice and ended in a ready guard.
Coming in at Takeshi, she led with the same foot as before and pushed her sword down diagonally, so to keep Takeshi backing up.
➟"W-Wow! Don't glare at me like that! I just... I forgot is all." Once again he laughed his usual laugh, it was a sort of mechanic that allowed him to cover up awkward moments. "Alright then, I'm excited this time." It was true that he was much more determined for training this time, but he couldn't tell why. Perhaps it was because he felt as if there would be no more interruptions. Doing what Xuza had expected him to do, Takeshi retreated with a step back. Careful! He was going to act a lot more, this time he wouldn't be the one dodging. Takeshi rushed forward, after he had dodged Xuza's slash, and swung his axe in a horizontal strike. The end of the chain was still in his left hand, things were heating up.

Xuza could scarce avoid Takeshi's strike, ducking under quickly. She was a little overconfident, but that would change now. She was still moving forward, which would put her off balance as she ducked, so she put a hand back to brace herself on the ground. The meister dropped her guard and sprung up on her front leg, Since her weight was moving forward,, she was able to spin quickly to face Takeshi again.
They'd switched sides, and Xuza thought it a good idea to go in for another strike. This time she went for a shallow lunge, It would force Takeshi to either move back, move his core off the center line, or otherwise deal with the attack. It was shallow, so Xuza could pull the attack back quickly.
➟A cutlass... "Your real quick!" Talking while practicing proved just how confident Takeshi was, hopefully Xuza wouldn't see it as arrogance in Takeshi's case. With Xuza switching places on him it'd prove a bit confusing. The fighting was done in a fast paced manner. Instead of moving to the side he moved back again, he had done it so hastily that he had almost fallen back. Once again Takeshi's resolve was to use the axe's chain. He readied the chain in his left hand so he could entangle Xuza's sword arm and incapacitate her movement. But he wouldn't try anything this turn, it seemed as though he was leaving himself wide open.

Xuza took the momentum and moved to Takeshi's right. She kept the same distance, but being on this side of Takeshi would let her control in chain better. If Takeshi moved to face her directly, Xuza would continue to circle, waiting for her chance to strike.
