Tomo nodded, "Oh, birth sucks, sweetie. I know." he said, patting her arm. He sighed, ears going limp as he waited with them. He checked once more, then nodded, "Okay. Breath and start pushing." He said, getting ready to bring the baby into the world.

Kaen laughed hoarsely, then braced her feet. She glanced up at Kai with a look of worry, then closed her eyes and began to push. Remembering vaguely that she was holding Kai's hand, Kaen silently mouthed a prayer that she wouldn't hurt Kai and that the baby would be born without problems.

"Very good Kaen! You're doing good!" Tomo coaxed, glad Kai was there to comfort her. "Just a few more pushes. This is going nice and smooth." he assured the kitsune with an assuring smile.

Kai held her hand tight, his eyes on her. He was nervous but smiled, "You ding okay. It'll be over soon, I swear."

Kaen continued to listen to Tomo and did as he told. She could feel her body straining, but knew it was necessary as much as the pain made her want to stop. Finally crying out, she pushed hard, hoping that it was the final one she needed to do.

Tomo bit his lower lip as he helped her with the birthing. "Perfect, Kaen." He soothed, bringing the baby along. After a few moments, the child was free from its mother's womb and calling out to the world with tiny lung. "There we go!" he cooed, cutting the umbilical cord with the supplies from the med kit he grabbed on the way out. "It's all over." He said as he handed a cleaned, wrapped, baby to its father. "Congratulations, guys." He said, wiping a trickle of sweat from his brow with the back of his arm.

Kai took the baby and with wide eyes looked at him, surprised and feeling the joy in his heart. He looked up at Tomo and smiled, "Thank you, Tomo." he looked back at Kaen and waited a second to see if she was alright, "Kaen, look at him. He's beautiful...."

"He is," she purred, her eyes filled with tears as she looked at her...their child. His cries had quieted as he looked between Kai and Kaen with wonder, his eyes the same blue as Kai's. Small light grey fox ears, covered in soft kit fur, peeked out from wispy white and blond strands covering his head. "Hello, my little one," Kaen whispered, settling herself against the pillows more comfortably.

Tomo smiled and yawned widely, "Well, I'll leave you two to your joy." He murmured tiredly. He packed up and stood up. "Congrats again. He's gorgeous." He said, hugging Kai and kissing Kaen's forehead. "G'night, you two!" He announced, "Lemme know if you need any more help." He added before heading back to his room, quite exhausted.

He waved at Tomo as good as he could without bothering the infant. "Hey there, little guy...." he looked at Kaenand kissed her, "I love you, Kaen..."
((I really have to go...))(was the baby suppose to have wings?))

"Thank you, Tomo," Kaen said as he left her room. She returned Kai's kiss and let the baby grab onto her finger. "I love you too, Kai." A yawn escaped and she giggled; she hadn't realized how tired she was. "We should all get some sleep, I guess," she said, looking up at Kai.

((he does, and a tail too, but they aren't noticeable with the towel around him))

Kai gave the baby to kaen and closed the door and got new blankets for Kaen. He turned out the lights and snuggled next to Kaen, a smile on his face, happy to be with her nad their baby.

She smiled and shifted close to Kai carefully, holding the baby in her arms. "Good night, my loves," she whispered, the excitement of giving birth still running through her as she slipped into sleep.

Sapphire sits up from he bar where she feel asleep last night. "That's not good for my back." She says twisting around gently.

Kai came down the stairs holding a bundle in a soft baby blue blanket, humming to it. The baby stretched its little hand towards him and Kai kissed it. He looked up and saw Sapphire, his eyes going wide and slowly a big smile appeared, "Sapphy!"
