Even through the ecstatic sensation that ran through his undead body, the wide brim hat monster could sense the prying eyes of the other species. Uncaring, the bloodied face of the immortal licked up what remains of the man's life fluids before the presence of another disrupted his feeding. Peeking from beneath his hat, time seemed to slow as a strange barreled weapon was pointed at him and began to release tiny rounds radiating with a painful light. This was the new wave of hunters. Using advance technology to combat the obviously superior race. Sensing the danger of getting hit by one of those deadly rounds, the dark cloaked figure lifted the dead body of his meal and positioned himself behind it.

Thud. Thud. Thud. Thud. Thud. The sounds of round after round hitting and piercing through the meat shield filled the vampire's ears as he sneered to himself, feeling the dangerous chemical that emitted the UV graze past him. It was only then did the sound of clicking from the dark clothed man did the monster realize his opponent was empty. Grinning a demonic smile covered in blood, the cloaked figure mustered its renewed vampiric strength and launched the bullet ridden dead body at the man. One thing the hunter didn't have to worry about was the dead man rising from his grave as a minion, especially being covered in the deadly UV rounds.

Using the man missile as a distraction, the cloaked figure rose from his kneeling position and began to rush up to the hunter. In his hand in less than a second, the creature of the night held and pointed its single shot Lupara at the hunter and squeezed the thick trigger. In a loud roar of power and might, the mighty short barreled 12 gauge shotgun unleashed a furious set of silver pellets at the man.

Before the clip slid smoothly into the automatic, Marcus felt a large mass of weight hit him hard. "F*ck!" The hunter grunted as the dead body tangled it's lifeless arm around him as he attempted to adjust his rifle around the man. Though it was either fate or luck, but as the dead man offered protection to the strange looking vampire, so did the dead man offer its lifeless body as a shield to Marcus as the small shotgun roared. Thousands of small silver BBs struck the dead body bloodied body as Marcus lost balance and fell back.

"Sonovabitch!" He grunted as several of the pellets managed to pierce through the already bullet ridden body, striking his tactical vest. Without it, Marcus was going to be in serious trouble. Managing to maneuver his rifle beneath the armpit of the dead body on top of him, Marcus squeezed the trigger of his gun to allow another set of rounds to go out at the man, this time controlling the burst as much as he could so not to run out of ammo as fast.

"Die, you b*****d!" Marcus roared as rage and frustration filled his mind as he continued to move out from beneath the dead body.

A toothy grin covered in now dry blood spread across the monster as he watched his new prey trap beneath his previous meal. Though a tad disappointed his buckshot was deflected by the dead man, that didn't stop the vampire from enjoying the struggle between both him and the hunter. Quickly stepping back and moving to the side to avoid more gunfire from the fallen opponent, the dark figure stashed away his small shotgun as he went to his sheathed sword and removed it. The sound of metal leaving the leather scabbard seemed to echo that dark alley.

"Pulvis ut pulvis. In nomen Patri, Filli, et Spiriti Sancti. Amen." The monster's voice was low, smooth, crisp, and icy cold. His eyes, now blazing the color of blood and glowing in the dark, stared down at the fallen hunter as it reposition the crusader sword around and raised it high with the sharp deadly point towards them. In one swift movement, the undead dark clothed man rushed forward and stabbed downward, aiming to impale the hunter right in the stomach.

Kicking out with all his might, Marcus pushed the dead body aside and rolled to one side, watching as the sword slashing down onto his trench coat and tearing into the back of his tactical vest. Continuing to roll away and tearing his black coat apart, the dark haired hunter spat as he reposition his MP-5 at the swordsman. There one thing the vampire failed to realized about his move, the closer he got to the gunman, the easier it would be to hit him with his gun. With maybe twelve rounds of UV bullets left in his machine gun, Marcus knew these shots had better count.

"F*cker. This coat is a rental." With that, the suppressor once more gave several quiet thumps as the rounds cut through the night air and towards the vampire. No matter how fast the vampire was, Marcus was sure that at the distance they were at, at least one or two rounds would surly hit him. Holding the trigger down, the hunter waited till his modified MP-5 clicked empty once more.

It was now obvious for the experienced swordsman that he had made an extreme mistake in his actions. Closing the distance between himself and the hunter had indeed caused him to be a larger and easier target for the man to shot at. Mustering what strength he could from his most recent feed, the wide brim hat fighter flicked his silver coated sword in the air to deflect what bullets he could. As he did such, his leather boots began to guide him backwards and increasing the distance between the two of them. While he was able to deflect a good amount of rounds and avoid those that strayed a bit, two solid hits in the arm struck the bloodied vampire.

"Ssssssssssssssssss" Emitting a primal hiss from the depth of his soul, the monster's face twisted as the pain from the UV bullets began to instantly react with his flesh. The pain was unbearable and felt like it was eating through his arm as he gripped his sword with all his might. Despite the fact he heard the empty clicking of his foe's weapon, the excruciating pain from the hunter's bullets weakened him greatly and made it even harder to him to focus on fighting. Not willing to make another mistake in fighting this modern day hunter, the dark figure hissed once more and jumped back into the shadows. In mid-jump, the swordsman sheathed his blade and began leaping onto the nearest wall.

"We will meet again." With that, the shadowy figure with glowing bullet holes in his arm began to ascend along the brick wall till it vanished over the rooftop. Not bother to waste time nor energy, the monster moved as quickly as it could as it felt more and more of his life force drain out of him due to the UV bullets. Cursing quietly to himself, the monster rushed towards his new home, knowing nothing but more pain awaited him for he would have to remove the deadly rounds.

Kerrigan nodded as Raven said he was going to check out the disappearance of a man from the front of the diner, the huntress standing as her partner moved outside the diner, heading towards the side alley. Intending to follow him, she only got a few steps towards the door before she felt a hand close around her shoulder, whirling around to feel a blade enter her stomach. Letting out a pained hiss as her fangs elongated, she looked down to see a steak knife protruding from her stomach, a man shoving her to the ground rather roughly. Pulling the knife from it's place, the wound started to heal almost immediately, the man stepping forward and pressing a boot into her neck.

"You won't seduce that man yer with. I know what you wanna do to him, and I ain't lettin' you bleed no one dry on my watch," he practically spit at her, the huntress reaching up and closing both hands around his ankle. She tried to communicate something to him, though it only came out as another hiss through her fangs, the sounds of a battle outside catching her attention. It upset her to not know who was firing what, let alone who's cries were managing to make it penetrate the stunned silence of the diner. Another cry, this time distinctly Marcus caused her eyes to darken, the green disappearing and replaced with a deep shade of crimson. In a sudden movement, she rocked her lower body up, legs closing around the man's waist before she wrenched his ankle to the side, driving his body down with her legs. This was the kind of crap she got in this city for trying to protect people. They hated her for her race, immediately lumping her in with the bloodthirsty vampires that had control of so much of New York. It was men like this that made her really want to give up protecting people.

"Look, he's my friend," she started to explain through deep breaths as she got to her feet once more. However, before she had a chance to continue the man was on her once more, a punch already aimed directly at her face. Grabbing his arm and twisting to the side slightly, she pivoted around on her foot, using his own momentum to throw him over her shoulder, directly into the ground. Still holding onto her arm, she wrenched it around slightly, bringing her knee directly into the side of his rib cage. There was a sound of cracking bone, the man yelling out in pain before she released him, stumbling back slightly as she looked at the rest of the diner patrons and staff. It was almost like they couldn't decide whether they were afraid of her, or disgusted by what she did, but the huntress could care less. Jumping over the man's body on the ground, she ran through the door, skidding to a halt in her heels as she heard the sounds of battle once more.

"Raven," she called out, muttering a soft curse as she looked down to the hole in her jacket and cami, the blood already dried over the healed wound. That still didn't stop the lingering pain from making her grit her teeth slightly. It didn't help that this was one of her favorite jackets...

Turning her attention back to the streets, she started off towards the alley she thought he was in, arriving just in time to see a creature disappear onto the rooftops and out of sight, leaving Raven standing there with an empty gun in his hand. Moving up behind him, her eyes scanned the rooftop as she ran her fingers back through her hair.

"You alright?"

It is said that the city of New York never sleeps, it was time to see if it was true. A new arrival had arrived to the big apple, and it was the special kind of newcomer - the kind that walks the night. The new face appeared to blend in with the crowd of mortals. His head was covered with a thin black hood that was connected to an old and battered leather trench coat. The coat was unbuttoned, revealing an incredibly muscled ebony chest with great broad shoulders. The man had a pair of black trousers, loose and cargo, and a pair of black army boots. The big black man stood at almost seven feet tall, with a piercing turquoise pair of eyes that penetrated through the crowd.

Since the man was new to the city, he was not exactly sure what to do, he was only given so much information, but the best way to get used to a new city was to see it. So he decided to walk around it, his eyes searching for anyone of interest, anyone who also walked the night.

Eden stormed into the city from Hunter's in an absolute rage. She couldn't believe that her brother underappreciated the fact that she'd been the only one with enough guts to step up as the hunter f--king leader and criticism and being called weak was all she got from him. As far as she was concerned Sethe could go f--k himself because while she realized he hadn't had a choice in the matter he still hadn't bothered to tell anyone about it or make arrangements for what was supposed to happen in his absence. It was his fault that the hunters had been swept over by chaos and had he been there when they'd been leaderless he would have been in for an even more brutal picture of how the hunters had functioned. She'd fixed quite a few things and there he was squaking behind her back as if she were some useless little object that would never amount to anything because it was so lowly. Not a good idea when she wasn't in a good mood in the first place.

For a while she wandered aimlessly down a number of blocks, muddling over what she'd overheard and just how much she wanted to punch Sethe in the face for his comment. Instead, though, just like with Neko, she'd walked away to deal with her anger in a more productive way. It was f--king time to hunt something and just absolutely murder whatever it was that was unlucky enough to cross her path first. She didn't really care what she ran into so long as it was someone that was f--king around and disregarding the lives of those around them. Maybe she'd just go walk up to some stranger and start a fight with them in public, beat them s--tless. Lucky for any random strangers in the streets, she wasn't like that. She needed a reason to beat the s--t out of someone first though it wouldn't be difficult for someone to piss her off at the moment and get their a** kicked to kingdom come.

Sethe had extensive training in hunting something, or someone down. He'd felt Eden's remark to his blowing up in Hunter's, but she'd only caught a portion of it. She didn't know what exactly happened in there. It wasn't anything he meant to do, everything kind of spilled out unintentionally. Now that she was angry at him, it just added something to the list. He hoped he could rectify this, at least.

So the ninja's shadow glided from building to building as he sought out Edith. After a few blocks, Sethe began to sense her presence. He started gliding nearer the street, and saw her down below. It looked as if she was going to punch someone in the face, in the name of chaos. Edith wouldn't do that, would she?

Sethe fell from the rooftops, a few alleys ahead of her. As she passed the alley, he reached out, grabbed her arm, and pulled her into the dark, pressing her against the wall. 'Eden, listen, you walkedi n at the wrong moment. With everything that's f*cking me over these days, I do NOT need my sister hating me, on top of everyone else. Got it?' he said sharply, and even though the words were conveyed angrily, his eyes dimmed under his shades, which usually meant he was being sincere, and upset, not angry.

*Please, Meredith. Do not be angry at us.* Esou spoke to her mind. *You don't understand what is going on. You did not hear what all else we said. Calm down, please?*

Meredith had been angry enough that her guard had been up and the thought of Sethe possibly coming after her just hadn't occurred to her in her enraged state of mind. Sethe coming after her just seemed a forgotten and impossible concept to her after what he'd said and she was simply going to hunt something down and alleviate her frustrations. It wasn't like she'd willingly jumped into the position, nor had she been prepared for it. She'd done the damned best that she could and still was and getting spat at behind her back by her own brother seemed to be the thanks that she got for it. He could have gone and f--ked himself for all she cared in that moment but when someone sharply grabbed her arm her initial reaction had been to strike with her free arm. Her free arm had been about to swing into the side of Sethe's head when she realized it was Sethe and her swing shortened long enough for him to pin her against the wall.

The gaze that came from her eyes only reflected anger that covered the deep emotional gash and sadness he'd caused her. She'd always refused to admit when she'd been hurt or when she was sad and this time was no different. She chose to lash out with anger instead of explaining, that was simply how she functioned. "Sure I f--king did. You probably took a few more stabs at me before I got there and that was the grand slammer! You know what? F--k you. No one else was going to step up to the plate so I did. You abandoned us and now you criticize me for trying to make things right. You can't just disappear and all of a sudden reappear and call me useless because I'm dealing with different hunters than you did. I know you didn't have a choice but you could have made some f--king arrangements so it wasn't chaos when you left. This place is doing a lot better than it was when you first left so whatever, I don't need your f--king approval. And I don't hate you. I'm just f--king pissed at you and want to kick your a**."

"I understand what's going on Esou. I'm incompetent because I'm not as strong as either of you and because I haven't lead nearly as long as you. Makes perfect sense. I don't need to hear the rest of what you said. It's irrelevant. Fact is you said it because you thought I wouldn't f--king hear it. Well I did and someone should give you a friggin' punch in the face and kick in the balls."
PostPosted: Thu Sep 17, 2009 7:39 am

Sethe held her against the wall, and his sunglasses floated off of his face, and into his coat. 'You need to calm the hell down, Edith. You didn't hear anything but the negative part dealing with you. I was having a f*cking breakdown, dammit!' He sighed, closed his eyes, and looked to the ground. Sethe shook his head defeatedly. He let her go, and took a step back. 'Fine, go ahead. Hit me for a reason you don't actually understand. Condemn me for having a breakdown. Kick me while I'm down physically, and mentally.'

Sethe backed up further, and leaned against the wall, sliding down the bricks. 'Apparently, that's all I f*cking deserve. After all, violence begets violence. Live by the sword, die by the sword...' Sethe cupped his face in his hands, and sighed as his right hand ran through his hair, gripping it tightly under his hood.

'I just want things to go back to how they were, godammit! Why can't Kerri just understand?' Sethe started to sob, his voice cracking as he spoke. 'It wasn't my fault I left! I didn't have a choice. I didn't even know I'd gone until I was a few miles out of the city! Everyone thinks "oh, there's Krii'Ouse, thinking he's a badass cause he's the Omega." F*ck them all!' He spat on the ground, and went for his cigarettes.

'None of you will understand the curse that comes with this title. You all should be happy I'm the one who gets shafted with it. I thought it was an honor, but I didn't realize that even someone as admittedly spiritually and mentally strong as I am, the beings in this glaive will own the f*ck out of my will.' He opened the pack, and a cigarette floated to his mouth, lighting as it reached his lips.

'Why can't any of you understand...'

Alethea kicked off the ground as the cool air, whipped hard against her face. Knowing what was right & wrong & that everyone had been wronged in this instance, she had to fix it. She was the only outside spectator that knew ANYTHING about what was going on with the leadership.

Her nose had gone numb after awhile & she didn't like the cold air constantly chilling her sensitive nose nerves, so her mind focused lightly and she directed the energy to Edith & Sethe, 'Can I please have a moment with the two of you?? There is a lot of explaining to do & I can help out & show you the misunderstanding....' the echoes throughout her mind, seemed to be calming in a odd way & the close she was brought toward them, the stronger the calming atmosphere became.

Continuously driving herself in every direction, she knew she was close - but her nose had nearly frosted over from the running and constant sniffing 'GOD, could this be any harder?! Pain in my a**, human sensitivity bullshit....DAMMIT - this is what I GET for being half-human!!!' she nearly punches herself for this frivolous pain as she pushes onward to find them.

Being told to calm down wasn't something that Meredith Jackson enjoyed being told at all but when Sethe admitted to having a break down, shouting the information to her it instantly tripped the sympathetic and guilt switches on her emotions board. Meredith instantly felt horrible and when he went on to tell her to hit him she couldn't bring herself to do it. Her anger and her assumptions had gotten the better of her and she'd not even bothered to see what the hell had been going on. Of course, that didn't change the fact that it'd hurt to know he thought such things. She managed to get a few words out after he managed to explain himself to her, not really sure what to do in order to help him. "I'm not gonna kick your a** ... I was just upset ... Being talked down upon behind my back by my own brother, it hurts, Sethe ... And I'm not gonna f--king hit you either ... I'm just pissed and confused now and now I feel like s--t for saying that."

Upon him slinking down the wall adjacent from her in defeat she followed him and stood in front of him, eyes hardened but sympathetic. It killed her to see her brother like this and there was really no possible way for her to remain angry with him when he was exuding such hopelessness. "You don't deserve that. I don't think when I'm f--king mad just like you apparently don't think when you're breaking down." She was now kneeling in front of him, attempting to look into his eyes as she made her bland observation about how things had changed. "Look at us. We're all f--king messes." She would have laughed to ease the tension but she wasn't sure Sethe would appreciate her trying to make things better with laughter.

"It hurt Kerri a ton when you left. She friggin' up and flew the coop too and left me with myself to deal with the f--king mess left behind." Upon his sobbing she took a seat beside him and looked him firmly in the eyes before going to give him a plain and simple hug. It was to comfort, to let him know that she was there despite what her words had suggested. "I know ..." She whispered while holding him as he informed her on what had happened and how it hadn't been his choice. "Yeah. We had no f--king clue where you'd gone or what had happened to you so we all kind of had to move on. We thought you were dead, Sethe. It's kind of life-churning when someone who was dead as far as we knew just up and reappears in New York again. You're different, too, it's not just here that's changed and whether that's because of your new ranking and the fact that it's getting to you or other things doesn't really matter. The fact of the matter is that Kerri's changed, I've changed and you've changed too. Time does that."

"And no. No I don't understand. Help me out here. You have to go off on missions that take you away from us without warning? Why the f--k would Will do that to you? Didn't he tell you anything about what it meant? I just thought it was a friggin' rank that everyone wanted so they could say they were the strongest ... I seriously don't have any concept of what it's like, I'm not even an A-class yet ... Look ... I know that we might seem like we're mad and we hate you but level with me here. You came back from the dead and you're back to rearrange everything we've just put back together. It's great you're back but disheartening that we have to change everything again to accommodate. It's like building a huge tower of legos only for them to discontinue that kind and it forces you to buy the new ones to keep up. Then all of a sudden they decide to release them again, you know? It just pisses people off but at the same time they're really glad the old lego was released again. I love you, bro. I'm so glad you're back with us but I just don't know how to explain things for Kerri. It's just hard trying to get used to you again for her ... I think she was finally starting to get over you and stuff, same with me. We had to move on for our own sakes, it doesn't mean we don't love you."

It was a somewhat strange concept, the little sister finally being the one to try and help her older brother out when in the past it'd always been vice versa. She was trying her best to make him understand her side of things and possibly Kerrigan's though Meredith didn't want to speak for Kerri. The comparrison to lego hadn't been meant to actually compare her brother to lego but to give him a basic concept of what it was like for them. Everything they'd done they'd done because they'd figured Sethe would never come back and for him to suddenly come back, well, it just kind of threw everything out of proportion and it was difficult to decide where to go from there. It really didn't help Eden, though, to know that her brother didn't have any faith in her and that he was wanting to undermine her behind her back. It hurt. A lot.
