Someone asked me a question and I can't stop thinking about it.
I want to hear your answers.
(ignore the logistical issues with this scenario and focus on the concept.)
you're walking alongside a railroad and you come to a lever and a fork in the tracks. the lever controls which direction the train goes along the fork.
on one side of the fork, there are five workers having lunch with their headphones in, so they can't hear the train coming.
in the other fork is one worker enjoying his lunch with his headphones in, as well.
who do you save?

either I'd divert the train to kill the lunching guy because that'd be only one innocent life lost and plus he'd die sort of enjoying himself.

I wouldn't divert the train at all, just see what fate had in store for them and not mess it up with my meddling~ also remain kind of blameless? selfishmuch...
Although on the fate side of things you could argue that it was fate that I was there to make a decision, therefore I should do what feels like the lesser of two evils...
Ah I'd just ring samaritans and start offloading and get advice... or ask for divine intervention even though I'm agnostic.

Pain does not exist... erm... jump in front of the train and try to get it to stop bfore it reaches the lunching people... with all that commotion, they're bound to see the train by then and get off te tracks then (if still alive) i can berate them for eating on the ******** tracks! ...in my dojo
