Shadow stepped into the library and walked over to the table where Outai was sitting and reading. "Good morning, Outai," he said to her with a polite bow. "I am here for my follow up ma'am. I would like to thank you again for helping me. I had no trouble getting the rest I needed because you helped me." He bowed again, this time a thankful bow.
That is interesting, her cat is sleeping on her head. She must have perfect poise in order to read without disturbing her pet.
[[You can if you wish. I don't think anyone is in the lobby at the moment. Maybe your character can explore, and find someone while exploring. Or he can wait till someone goes to the lobby. Its up to you. Those are just some ideas. I don't think anyone will mind if you come up with another idea either.]]

He looked at her hand for a second, then shook it. It is not his custom to shake hands, but he did not want to make an awkward moment of it. "They are doing alright, if they are still there. They might just be scars now. Have you seen or met the other two beings here that are probably looking for the same thing you are, a place to turn in their aplication? I have only been able to sence their presence, and they aren't familiar to me."
It's interesting that her custom is to shake hands. I suppose that is the normal custom, but usually more so for humans. I haven't been able to figure out what species she might be, but then again, I'm not too worried about it. I wounder how her pet would react if he saw my messanger hawk.

And I'd totally go back and change it if it weren't for the fact that people have already begun voting, and the thread as just re-stickyed. D; My fault dude, again, way way sorry!
But Aside from my retard mistake, Yes Sokato and Joel are the finalists, I was going to put in a third guy who submitted an app but he seems to have disappeared ._. So these two are the votees. "That is good to hear. Perhaps a second treatment isn't necessary if they've already healed. You must be a natural healer, someone who's body heals quickly, more quickly than average. No, I haven't seen anybody, but I haven't been looking either." Outai said as she started to gather up the books she had finished reading to return them to their rightful spots.
"She was too absorbed in books," Mooney said, still resting on her head, "she's a bookworm."
"Gee, thanks, bigmouth." Outai said purposely tipping her head forward so that Mooney would either have to hold on with claws - which he wouldn't do for fear of punishment from Outai - or jump to the floor. He chose the latter of the two.
"But he is right. I was so absorbed in reading that I took little notice in different people that would have come and gone. Perhaps we can find them and then you can direct us where to turn in our applications. That is, if you don't mind."

Shadow was not at all surprised to hear the cat speak. "He didn't give you away, really. The stack of read books is what gave you away as a book worm. But don't worry, I wont tell anyone. I promise. I can show you were the turn in box is. I think there is one in the loby. One of the others is there right now, I think. I'm not sure where the other presence is."
He nodded and waited for her to put the books away. He then led the way to the lobby to meet the being there, and show Outai the aplication turn in box.

Outai was swift in putting things back where they belonged. She power walked through the aisles, careful not to drop any, and remembered exactly where in the shelf she had pulled them from. Once they were all put away, she found Shadow once again and followed him to the turn-in box. When she got there, she pulled an application, already filled out with her information, and slipped it into the turn-in box.
"You know, knowing anything my code name is going to turn out to be 'Bookworm' or 'Shiva', probably just for laughs. Actually, that would be great. Laughing is always good."

As they entered the lobby, he spotted the new member. "Those sound like good code names, Outai. I don't understand the second one, but as long as you do. I don't even have a code name yet, but I'm not too worried about it. My first name might sound like a code name if no one knew. If you'll excuse me, I think I will go and see if I can assist our friend over there." He said to Outai so that she didn't think he was ignoring her.
He walked over to the boy that was in the room. With a bow, he spoke calmly to the young man, "Hello, I am Shadow Dragon. I take it you wish to become a member of Mishaps. I don't have much authority, but seeing as though I am the only member here at the moment that sort of knows his way around, I will do my best to assist you. Is that your application? The turn in box is just over there." He pointed towards the box that Outai had been standing infront of. He thought that it would be apropriate to introduce the woman that was with him, "This is Outai. She is also one who wishes to become a part of Mishaps. I will let her introduce her pet, partially because I don't know what his name is." He winked at Outai, not sure she would see it.
Maybe her cat would get a kick out of my pet. To bad she's out in the woods for now. A black lynx is a little bit bigger of a cat. Hmmm.
[[Incase anyone asks, my pet is a black lynx. She hasn't been introduced yet. The hawk is a friend, not considered a pet. Very usefull for comunication in areas in which other high tech comunication devices might not work.]]

Outai waved to the new comer as they approached. When he was near enough, she extended her hand for a handshake.
"I am Outai, and this weirdo," she said, nodding to the cat that had leapt up onto her shoulder, "is my friend, Moonstar, or Mooney for short."
"Hey!" Mooney protested.
"If I'm a bookworm then you're a weirdo."
"Fair enough, I suppose." he sulked.
"To explain the second choice for a codename, Shiva is the ice goddess. My element is ice. Well, that, and holy, but holy is new to me still and I'm still training with it."

(( .__. Oh dear. Terribly sorry about this, but I've had no internet to my pc for ages. Managed to submit an app, but since then it just went. Had to rely on Messenger on my Xbox 360 to communicate to people, which isn't the best thing in the world! At least I'm back to a PC's keyboard now! biggrin ))
Hrisskar joined Sotako in scanning the skyline for vantage points. An old clocktower half made of stone and wood caught his eye, and he gripped Sotako's shoulder.
"Over there Captain! If we can lure the dragons up to that clock tower, we might have a chance of tackling them! It seems to be the highest point that I see from here..."
Sotako nodded, just as a dragon came soaring overhead, already spitting flame and bellowing. Even when they were 70-odd feet above them, Hrisskar could feel the disturbances in the air from their massive wingbeats.
"They're erm.... big. What I'd give to have my Dragunov. I'd feel much safer with that than this sword, thats for certain." He tried to manage a laugh, but it seemed to come out as a croak.
((I'd like to thank you both, Sotako and Yue, for having so much patience. I was honestly expecting you to have moved on by now.))

Laze about? Never! Patience, in Joel's mind, was a quick way to absolutely nothing. "If I were your commander, I would give you latrine duty for suggesting that," Joel told Korie. "If you want adventure and excitement, Korie, you'll have to do something more than hang around in an infirmary." He crossed the room to the door and stopped there, beckoning. "Come on. The dispatch office is downstairs. We'll find you a mission. Unless you'd rather stay here and count ceiling tiles?"

LOCATION: airplane over the Atlantic Ocean
Three days after the incident in Rome Riku sat back in his seat, looking out the window. Ocean spread out as far as he could see, but he knew on the other side of the plane the passengers could see land. They were passing over Greenland. He had finally changed back into his normal clothes, and fixed his hair. The Emperium crystal he had obtained was safely locked away in his luggage. Unless an Uroboros was actually on the plane, no one was going to take it from him. He sighed, and let his mind wander. As of now, several teams were already beginning to tear down the empire Kavinsky had worked so hard to build. It would be a while, but Kavinsky would be finished, once and for all. And then Riku could turn to more pressing matters- his own homeworld, and Thanatos. He sat back and drifted to sleep, as the plane soared on.

When Martin got to the far end of the lobby, the person he'd thought he'd seen was gone. In fact, his head wasn't completely clear from being disoriented getting here, and he was still a bit sleepy. He had run straight past them with his head down. He hadn't even noticed them at all, he was so lost in thought as he ran to the far end of the room. When he looked up at the end of the room, no one was there.
Wha? He.... disappeared? Wow. Living here shure won't be boring...
Martin thought as he looked around. Then he noticed a door way, and wondered if someone might be in there....
No one was in the room, but there was another door....
He decided to go back and get his Fox and briefcase before he continued. The other two had apparently left for some other part of the base, but Martin didn't know it. then went off through the next door.....
and another door in the next room....
And another...
and another...
Eventually, Martin was completely lost. He had no idea where he was, or how to get back to the lobby. He sighed, wondering if he'd ever find someone. He looked up and saw one last door. Should I go in..? Ahh, why not? What eelse could happen except me finding someone?
As he opened the door, he saw books. Rows and Rows of books. Going on and on. He wondered out into the room, looking up in amazement at the books, still clutching his little application form.

 ((Thank you for posting. I didn't want to leave both of you behind... I might have let it slip a little too long though. I am a very patient person.
On another note:
I am running for such an important position against a very competent person. I doubt I am going to win. Could you imagine if I did though?))
"I beleive your right. The clock tower is a high spot. Higher than the manor which I beleive is their current target. The only problem is getting their attention. Come on." Sokato then walked off. Signaling Hrisskar to follow as he did so.
"You know Rusty, there is one advantage that these old relics have over your Dragunov. These swords are not going to run out of ammo."
Ace then turned his attention back to the dragons, observing their flight patterns. He noticed something strange on their heads. Near the center of their heads, above their eyes something shimmered in the light. He would get a closer later for sure.

(( Heh, I know what you mean Snake. I was the person who submitted that third application that Xinrie was on about. Unfortunately, I'm past the second applications hand-in, so I'm out of the running. Kind of a blessing actually, life seems to have suddenly changed gear, what with going on holiday with my mates in ten days, then my second year of university starting soon after that.
Also, Snake, have you been playing Shadow of the Colossus by any chance? razz ))
