"Uhh..?" she asked to no one in particular, before shrugging and returning her attention to the small furry animal now cuddling in her sweatshirt/lap.

"Fine," Arlen said, holding Lily close, and shooting Vincent one last glare before turning around and heading downstairs.

Vincent rolled his eyes and resisted the urge to slam the door as he closed it, then collapsed back into bed.
Lily looked up at Arlen sorrowfully, then crawled a little way up his shirt. This raised her enough so that she could nuzzle his neck, a silent thank you.

"You don't have to thank me," Arlen said sitting on a couch and petted Lily. "I don't like talking to him, but I can deal with it for you."

Baizou sighed and leaned against the door. That was a close call. He looked down into his bags, shivering a bit from the cold wind tugging his hair. Despite his efforts, he sneezed, feeling colder and more tired than ever. He rested a gloved hand to his forehead, trying to regain his senses.

Lily snuggled close to Arlen, shivering a little in pleasure at the pets. Having most of her senses back now, she timidly tried to send her thoughts to him, hoping he'd be able to hear.

Ellie waited pateintly for his return, and until then, she got up, rushing upstairs to hide the small animal, and then hiding a few boxes under the bed from Baizou, in fear of ruining a Christmas suprise.

Kaen pawed at the back door, trying to open in. She sat down in frustration and stared at the door knob, willing it to turn with her powers. THe knob obeyed and the the door swung open, making Kaen grin. She happily walked into the inn, shaking herself to warm up, then made her way to the fireplace.

Lily lifted her hear ears in delight, and nuzzled his neck again. she told him, voice soft in his mind.

Baizou's eyelids closed slowly as he slid down the door. He could feel his body wanting to move less and less. It wasn't all that cold, maybe a small nap wouldn't hurt until Ellie was safely out of view of his purchases.
