I LOVE YOU MORE THAN ANYTHING _________________________________________________________________________________________________ [It was Brightspirit's third day guarding the rogue, and he still caught her off guard sometimes. Usually, Brightspirit had a cat down within a day, and she knew everything that she needed to know, but Whisperblade was just so random. The she-warrior never knew what to expect. He was currently playing with the vibrant red scarf he never seemed to take off. Brightspirit smiled, amused by his playfulness. He reminded her of a kit, a very big kit. As Thunderflight and Lustrepaw appeared, the she-cat turned her head and nodded to the two, waving her tail in greeting] "Hello Thunderflight, hello Lustrepaw. Beautiful day, isn't it?" [It was true, the last of the snow had finally melted away. Brightspirit thought it was safe to say Newleaf was here at last. The thought made her heart soar. Leafbare had been cold and harsh, and StormClan was glad to be rid of it's cold grip. Shaking out her pelt, the she-cat resumed watching Whisperblade, at peace]
[Rolling over in the den, Riverfang swiftly opened his dark eyes and rose to his paws, wanting to go train with Fadingpaw, but knew he had to speak with her first. Poking his head out of the den, the tom spotted his small mate and felt a grin spread across his muzzle. She was so beautiful. As she was turned away from him, Riverfang narrowed his eyes playfully and crept up on her, stealthily gliding across camp. As he neared Brightspirit, Riverfang leaned back on his haunches, then leapt, bowling her over. Laughing, Riverfang quickly jumped to his paws, tickling her nose with his tail before bounding away, leaving his mate to rise to her paws, shaking her head at him, a big grin on her muzzle. Riverfang stuck his tongue out at her over his shoulder, then disappeared into Moonblaze's den, eyes quickie adjusting to the low light. Spotting his apprentice, Riverfang dipped his head to the Medicine Cat, then looked over at Fadingpaw] "Hello Moonblaze, doing fine, I hope. Fadingpaw, may I speak with you for a moment?" [Turning away, Riverfang padded from the den, settling down a few tail-lengths away as he awaited Fadingpaw's arrival] __________________________________________________________________________________________________ I CAN SURVIVE IT ALL WITH YOU Even after all this time,

"Yes, we've got quite the medecine cat," I purred thoughtfully. "It's a good thing you're doing better, though. That trap nearly cut you in half. You're lucky to be alive."
[Suddenly, I regretted bringing Lustrepaw. I wanted to ask Whisperblade about that black she-cat with the golden eyes-Thunderclaw. But I didn't want to make Whisperblade suffer any more than he was already by telling someone else of his rejected love. I stiffened with anxiety, lowering my eyes to the ground in uncertain thought.
I needed Lustrepaw to come, though. If I went alone, surely I'd be suspicious? Now I felt guilty that I was using Lustrepaw to see Whisperblade. Well, the apprentice quite enjoyed visiting the cat as well, and I'd coaxed Moonblaze into letting him leave; perhaps, in a way, he was using me, too. Or at least, I was useful to him. I hardly doubted the spazzy tom could think that far ahead. I purred now, feeling affection for both of the toms combine, though on quite different levels. I saw Lustrepaw as a brother; and Whisperblade...as...something more than a friend?]

could it be that this search will last unbounded eternity on tainted slate?
Twins are dangerous, tricky things, and when a second thunder rings too late

I bet if i had more time i could have thought of a smarter way to avoid it.... but at least i can move now. It wont be long before i can walk with ease!" [The loner stood tall with the smile firmly planted on his face as he felt the surrounding atmosphere. Something was bothering Thunderflight, but she wouldn't tell him. He could tell she was trying to keep it to herself and was doing a good job of it too, if it weren't for Whisperblade's training on sensing others moods. If only he could read thoughts too. Contemplating weather it would be a good time to ask her about it, bring it to light he shifted his gaze to Brightspirit and then Listerpaw. Whatever it was that was bothering her she must have wanted to keep it a secret, or she simply didn't want to share an important secret with an outsider. Either way he decided to say nothing, taking a different approach. He began to purr as he limped a little closer, now speaking in a whisper as soft as his own purring.] "Don't be so gloomy Thunderflight. Things always get better with time. Starclan is always watching over us, always there for us in times of need. [ Citruskit opened her eyes to see the sun right in her eyes. She drifted off into a slumber just a little while ago. Citruskit got off of her side and onto her paws, and let a yawn out into the open. While she was yawning, she was also shaking. The shade was making her cold, even though she was only there for a short period of time. Citruskit drowsily made her way next to the fresh-kill pile, and let out an annoyed moan. She felt as if she wasnt going to survive. But of course she was! ]
Maybe I should tell Moonblaze..
[ A soft and sickly voice of Citruskit's chimed in her head.. But a grouchy one spoke up. ]
You need no medicine cat!
Besides, I know you, you HATE being treated. It makes you feel helpless.. and weak.. an-
[ The grouchy voice was cut of as Citruskit let out a tired growl.]

[Ravenkit padded toward the fresh-kill pile, and took a mouse for herself. She was going to reach for another for Citruskit and Rustkit, when she noticed her friend was already walking there. She heard her moan slightly, and looked at Citruskit with concern in her eyes.]
Hey, Citruskit, are you alright?" [she mewed.]

[Fadingpaw had been in the medicine cat den every spare moment she had had. Things had been busy and Fadingpaw decided to help by assisting Moonblaze whenever the medicine cat needed help. The young apprentice knew she was neglecting her training but she couldn't help it. Fadingpaw's head came up as she recognized her mentor's voice. She slowly padded after him and sat down in front of him.] "What do you want to talk about?" [she asked softly. The she-cat couldn't meet her mentor's eyes but tried her best to appear confident, though she wasn't sure if it was working.]

[ Citruskit was drifting into her own world as she picked up her fresh-kill. She had picked up her fresh kill, and stuffed her face in the pile. After a pause, she opened her eyes and sneezed in the pile. The pile had made her nose itch. The fresh kill pile felt soft although, so she kept her head there. ]
Oh.. This is more comfy than the ground!
[ As Citruskit snapped into reality, she noticed she was in the fresh-kill pile!! She then backed up, and shook her head. She hoped no one saw that freakshow! Then, she heard a familiar voice. It took her a minute to find out who it was, but then she noticed it. It was Ravenkit, and she asked if she was alright. What would she tell her? If she wouldn't tell Moonblaze, she wouldn't tell her- would she?
Before thinking about this, she tried her best to speak normally, not tiredly.]
" Oh yeah- I'm fine.
Just a little tired. I slept.. "
[ Citruskit had just lied like one-two-three! Oh how she felt guilty right after her sentence. ]

[Ravenkit gasped as Citruskit suddenly tumbled into the fresh-kill pile. She was about to let out a surprised yowl, when she rapidly got up and faced her. She noticed Citruskit's voice sounded a bit dreamy; she did sound very sleepy.]
"Citruskit...are you sure? You look a bit more then tired [she mewed.]

She really was growing up. It seemed like so long ago that he had carried her around on his back, being a friendly giant. Ever since the battle, his apprentice had been spending every waking moment with Moonblaze. At first, this had slightly bothered the warrior, when would she have any time for training? Riverfang just wanted her to be the best she could be. But he soon realized a warrior status wasn't what Fadingpaw was hoping for. It was like Riverfang finally understood. As she asked what he wanted to talk about, Riverfang gave her a small smile] "I want to talk about your training, and your future" [The warrior paused for a few moments. Fadingpaw would've made a great warrior, but her kindness and compassion would make her an even greater Medicine Cat] "I've noticed you've been spending a lot of time in Moonblaze's den lately, and that's fine. What I really want to know is if you plan on changing mentors anytime soon," [The tom grinned and poked his apprentice with his tail, pressing on before she could speak up. Riverfang only wanted what was best for her, not for him] "Fadingpaw, whenever I see you working with Moonblaze, you have this complete joy in your eyes that I never saw during training sessions or hunting trips. Lots of cats were born as natural warriors, but only few possess the skills it takes to become a good Medicine Cat. You're one of those few. I don't want you to waste your time trying to be something you're not. Go, become Moonblaze's apprentice. That's what you were meant to be. I have faith in you, young one," [Rising to his paws, Riverfang gave his apprentice a lick on the forehead, feeling proud. She would be an amazing Medicine Cat, he just knew she would] "Don't worry, you don't have to explain anything to me. [Fadingpaw waited silently for her mentor to speak. She had been expecting this, she has been neglecting her training and going off to Moonblaze's den every possible second. She couldn't blame Riverfang for being annoyed or angry with her. She took a deep breath, preparing for what he was going to say, and raised her head as he spoke. Although, the words were not what she had expected. Fadingpaw glanced up at her mentor as he spoke. It surprised her that he didn't mind her being in the medicine cat den but what was even more a surprise was that he was wondering if she was going to switch mentors. The young she-cat wondered if that was even possible. She opened her mouth to speak but Riverfang had already started again. Fadingpaw listened and couldn't help but smile at the words. She knew what he was saying was true. She didn't mind hunting trips but never liked it when they went out for battle training. Although, none of that compared to when Moonblaze let her help with herbs and patients. She smiled at her mentor and nodded.] "Yes, I would to go talk to Moonblaze with you. And Riverfang, thank you," [she mewed and stood up. She regretted not telling Riverfang sooner but she had never wanted to let him down. All she had ever strived for was to make her mentor proud, even if it meant hunting and fighting. However, now she knew that he understood and he didn't hold it against her. Maybe this was the path she was meant to take, it felt like it.]

[Moonblaze blinked and answered Rivefang with a grin. She turned to see Burrpelt, entering her den as he seemed to show his embarrassment. Moonblaze sighed and replied with a soft response, her voice was sweet.] "Burrpelt, I don't need any thankyou...." [Moonblaze sniffed at him with narrowed eyes.] "What were you doing with Skywhisker.... a contest I presume?"

Purring as I stood up, I padded to the Medicine Cat's den and poked my head in, blinking in the dim lighting.] "Moonblaze. How're you doing today?" [ Citruskit felt as it was the time to wrinkle her nose and tell another excuse. She twitched her tail nervously, instead of making her pinkish nose look awkward. Her eyes tinted to a darker color, because she was running out of words. She let out a moan that hopefully only she could hear. What would happen is she told Ravenkit? Would she get Moonblaze? She didn't want to get treated! She would blow over this in a couple of days... Right?
Ravenkit didn't fall for her first sentence, so what would make her believe the second lie? Citruskit nodded at Ravenkit and nudged her to follow. As she did, she turned around with light paw steps and sighed. ]
" The real truth is.. I'm not feeling good. Since last night I didn't get any sleep. "
[ As she turned around she was ready to try to pounce on Ravenkit if she would try to get Moonblaze. But she was stopped by some shakes. ]

[Lustrepaw yowled to announce his recovery to the whole clan, racing out as if his legs were on motors. Instantly he regretted what he did. Pain racked through his healing back, making him stop in his tracks and wince in pain. Ok, running was a bad idea. Still with the happy smile on his face, he trotted back to Thunderflight, looking at her curiously when she said they were going to visit a friend.]
"Who're we going to -"
[His sentence was cut off when a flash of red move past his eyes. Lustrepaw blinked, his sapphire eyes wide as he realised who it was.]
"Whisperblade! Are you ok? Why're you hurt? Why're you in Stormclan?"
[He asked excitedly, a happy grin spreading across his face as he repeatedly fired questions at the mysterious loner. He didn't realised that he probably ruined "the moment" between Whisperblade and Thunderflight. As quickly as he had fired the questions, Lusterpaw's mind was already occupied with something else. The sight of the loner's scarf, dangling from his neck, it looked very...fun! He immediately dropped down onto his hunter's crouch, crept forward...and pounced onto Whisperblade's scarf.]
"Gotcha!"
[He giggled as he tugged at Whisperblade's scarf playfully, tempting the older tom to play.]
