Anatoly quickly froze the liquid within each vine as it came near him and continued.
He wondered why his flying car couldn't have just flown over the debris.

The vines began to emerge from the ground directly underneath him, and even more were still coming. He would be hard-pressed to keep up.
The debris was much too high; now that he thought about it, it seemed like a wall...

Controlling the ice within a frozen vine, Anatoly formed ice claws on his hand, stepped on the vine, and threw himself to the top of the wall. Catching with the claws, he struggled and managed to pull himself to the top before the vines could drag him back down. He formed an ice blade on his hand and got his bearings on his surrounding.

The warehouse lay ahead, and the vines were waiting along the way. There was no clear path through them.

Anatoly slowly created a thick bridge of ice towards the warehouse. He was sure the vines were Rufus' doing.
He went very slowly; Mysticker ice didn't melt in the presence of its originating Blazer, so he was able to craft his bridge meticulously and with little power loss. He created a simple but strong design that would support a good three hundred pounds (despite being ridiculously slippery) and had supports that would withstand any vine attack. He made sure to add blades on the supports so that if the vines tried to encircle them they would be sliced off.

Blah blah blah, it worked. Anatoly soon found himself outside the huge metal doors.

Anatoly stepped onto the roof; he left his bridge in place so that he could quickly strengthen it and run if he had to flee. With the sun almost entirely gone, it would hold well enough in his absence.
Anatoly found the roof entrance and entered, forcing the lock by freezing moisture within it to explode it if it was necessary.

He walked straight into a flying tackle from a massive figure, although they were moving too fast to identify. Anatoly was knocked to the ground, breathless.

Anatoly groaned and shoved himself to his feet, creating a variant of his ice armor on himself.
Now, his armor took roughly the form of an outward-facing cheese grater.

Nathan shook his head in despair. No vehicle, no nothing. It looked like his Pinto was probably gone from the parking lot too... he might as well check, though. If not, he needed a taxi cab, so he could...
...do what? He'd stopped renting his old apartment, it wouldn't be safe to move back in with his family, and there was still Blazer Black -
Blazer Black. Someone else with Blazer heritage. Perhaps... perhaps he could work something out with them, if only temporarily. But perhaps they had done this, and they'd kill him at their first opportunity. So no, that was out of the question.
First things first. He checked to see if his flying Pinto was still out in the parking lot.

Facing him was a bestial Wilde, who growled and laughed. "They told me to guard the roof. Though there would be nothing up here. Prove them wrong." With a snarl, he darted to one side, lept back across, and generally made it very hard for the dazed Anatoly to follow his movements.
Quite suddenly, he was right in front of Anatoly, with a clawed hand sweeping up from below.
The Pinto was there, scorched but otherwise unharmed.

Anatoly, emotionally spent, frustrated, and stressed, responded with brutal fury. He parried the fist with a cheese-grater-armored palm and froze the liquid in Wilde's now-bleeding hand. The effect was very similar to his CALTROPNADES, as the freezing water in Wilde's hand caused it to ******** you, Wilde!" he yelled, forming barbs all over his armor, such that mere contact would result in injury.

At that point, there was a weird flipping sensation as the reality around them warped. The snarling Wilde tried to get to his feet, but was unable, and Anatoly was horribly disoriented.
There was an ominous crackling in the air as well.

Nathan, rather grateful but distressed even more that it was torched and he would need a paint job, threw open the door, retrieved his keys, calmed down as much as he could, and, still shaking a little, lifted the car into the air, intending to... what? He didn't know. Just get away for now. He had nowhere to go. Maybe Blazer Black would be something good to hunt down... if he could. Which he couldn't.
What was he going to do? He just had no idea. None at all. He'd try to find Blazer Black... carefully. Very carefully. Maybe the same thing had happened to them.
