So the next day was the big swordsmanship tournament. And as it was a pretty big event on the island, a large number of the pirates (both of the island and of the obliterator) had shown up to watch the preceedings.

Uriel doesn't show up, because he's really not interested in watching fighting.
Caspian gets through the preliminaries quickly and easily.

Orient takes a pile of bets, always insisting that Caspian will win. No one agrees though, because no one knows Cas. Orient has no doubts that he will be collecting a handsome amount at the end of it all.

Everyone who'd bet on Caspian was feeling far less confident as he made it to the finals unscathed. of course, his opponent in the final round was to be a rather reknowned fighter on the island.

By the end, Caspian could still proudly declare that he was the best fighter he'd ever met. He didn't make it through the final unscathed, but it was only a few light scratches before he managed to disarm his opponent. And so, he gets a medal that says he's an awesome swordsamn, which he already knew.

Caspian grins a bit, especially when he sees Kyo coming over. He keeps the grin on his face through force of will when he notices that the asian pirate was again hanging out with that girl pirate they'd picked up. "Looks like a lot of people came out t'see me win."
