Watanuki blushed at their reactions to his cooking. "I.. wow, I really don't know what to sa-" He was cut short when Kaoru moved close to him again. Why did that baffle him so? Maybe he was just used to being alone...
He swallowed at Kaoru's hard to deny puppy eyes. "Well... I don't know...," but he changed his tune at the sound of getting paid. With an open grin of enthusiasm, "When do I start~?!" he asked them both.
He nearly jumped out of his skin when Kyouya popped up seemingly out of nowhere. Ok, he actually did jump and was acting like a scared cat. A cat that didn't feel like introducing himself at the moment.

Kaoru took a cupcake and without waiting for Kyouya's attention, he broke off a piece and pushed it into the shadow lord's mouth. "We have a chef, Kyouya. Just try this. It isn't overly sweet but it isn't plain. It melts in ones mouth and seems to wash over the tongue. Its perfect for all our customers... and this isn't all Watanuki-kun can do. Its an amazing chef... and with it being a young man, as well as a member of the school, we'd get a ton more customers coming in," he told him, certain he could get to Kyouya's calculating side. He then looked back at Watanuki, giving him a warm smile as well as a wink. He was certain once Kyouya ate the piece he'd forced on him, that the shadow lord would have to agree with his and Alcy's idea.

Alcy's eyes slid sideways, a smirk developing on her face. Kaoru was taking it in the right direction, and she knew just where to push to finish him off. "Plus, hiring a chef would drastically cut down on costs, as I would imagine the price of the finished goods are considerably higher than the cost of the ingredients and wages." She smiled happily.

Uneasy, Sawyer placed the foodstuffs on a nearby table with a sincere apology note for the girl, whoever she was. She looked around, then moved herself aside, and commenced to blending, wanting to make sure that the girl at least got something, or that someone at least found the note itself.

Kyouya nodded briefly, swallowing as he had finished the food Kaoru had force-fed him. He was silent for a moment, bringing his hand to his chin in thought. Already he was calculating what he wanted to do about the whole idea... "Watanuki could be both a Host and our chef, and be the 'Cooking Host,'" he said aloud.

Kaoru licked the rest of the cupcake off his fingers before putting the rest of it into Kyouya's free hand and then moving to his new friend. "Watanuki-kun! Did you hear? You not only will get paid... but you'll get club credits too!!" he exclaimed, before throwing his arms around the dark haired boy and smiling excitedly.

Alcy grinned. "Congrats, kid! Welcome to the club!" she said, flashing a thumbs up before ninja-ing out a second cupcake from the box and starting on it.
((... I nearly died laughing imagining what Kyouya's face would be like if anyone suddenly started to shove cupcake into his mouth. I'd imagine it'd either be surprise and slight horror or sheer deadpan. XD ))

Everything was moving so fast... All he wanted to do was get rid of some leftovers, and now he was getting a job! And joining quite possibly the most ridiculous club he's ever heard of! He didn't know what to make of it, and just stood there mouth slightly agape as Kaoru latched onto him.
Still trying to process it, he asked, "I... You want me to be a host?" He could only blink.

Feeling completely uneasy, Sawyer slid out the door silently, after making sure her purse was securely in her hand this time. There was no need to run now, and the halls of the school felt eerily quiet. After all the running, all the rushing about she'd done all day long, the quiet, dark halls stretched out before her, full of nothing but silence. "Why," she murmured to herself, "if I just close my eyes..." She closed her eyes slowly and stood completely still, listening for once to the silence and the calm she'd been missing all day long. It was beautiful, melodic silence, as sweet as any symphony, and Sawyer was grateful for it. Her mind travelled back to the note she'd left behind with her name and phone number on it. She smiled softly, hoping the girl would find it in her heart to forgive her, and would enjoy the bounty she'd left behind.

A soft smile couldn't help but make its way onto his face at his new friends words. Letting the shocked boy go, Kaoru nodded. "Sure, why not. You'd spend most of your time cooking, if you don't mind do that, but when you serve the customers you'd have to smile and such. But I can help you if you'd like."

Uneager to head home, and distracted by the quiet, Sawyer sat down on the floor, her back against the cool wall. She tilted her head back, her eyes closed, and smiled. She let the day filter out of her system slowly.

As the idea sank in, Watanuki's face contorted to one of worry and exasperation. What am I doing here??!?! He managed to keep it an inner thought due to the proper 'codes of conduct' present in most of the school.
Well, he wouldn't have too much trouble smiling would he? He nodded and in an effort to steel his resolve he proclaimed, "Yeah! I can do this! I am the best cook there is!" He held a confidant pose for a minute, wrapped up in his delusions, before turning to Kaoru.
He gave him a smile of thanks.

It hadn't occured to her that she was as tired as she was. She'd long since forgotten that she'd only slept two hours the night before, that she'd gone to school, and then to work, and had been running like mad ever since. As the miasma cleared, her muscles and her senses relaxed slowly, and as the silence continued, Sawyer unwittingly succumbed to a gentle sleep, still sitting with her back against the wall.
Lost in the light sleep, she dreamed of home; not her one room apartment, five minutes away by car, but her hometown of Savannah, Georgia. She dreamed of hot and humid afternoons on the front porch of her parents' home, of drinking ice cold, fresh squeezed strawberry lemonade in the shade of the mammoth weeping willow out in the front yard, of the scent of blooming magnolias soft on the wind, of her mother and her sister singing sweet gospel songs on Sunday while they hung the fresh-laundered blankets over a line outside so they'd smell of sunshine and springtime until their next washing. The memories she thought of when she was awake made her homesick, but for now, they were a welcome relief.

Kaoru laughed softly. "Of course you can. Watanuki-kun, if you'd like, you could come over to my place after school. This way I can give you some pointers. My brother can help out. This way it won't be so bad," he said, watching the other boy. He was honestly glad that his new friend would be sticking around. "Perhaps you could even give our chef some pointers."
