He hated people in large numbers. Stupid people in large numbers and groups.

That was one of the reasons why he didn't like going to his big family meetings and parties and.. and just family that happened ever month, and sometimes every other week too. His mother wouldn't talk about anything else other than that and something about coming home and when are you gonna get married even though Tea specifically said he wasn'twouldn't never ever and.. and family were annoying.

Which kind of explained the headache --only slight, but enough to be felt annoyed about-- poundinghammering in his head and it was annoying and maybe somehow part of the reason that made him press the palm of his hand against his eye, before the necromancer interrupted the dull rhythmical throbbing in his head behind his neck --and it was annoying-- and the tanned male turned his gaze slightly towards the man beside him, only a slight very slight somethingirritationnotreallysomething flickering past the dark eyes at the closeish proximity.

He was more preoccupied with the headache though to pay any attention to it though. It wasn't like he was getting used to Zix. No.

The assistant merely hmph-ed, lowering his hand from his face and crossing arms in front of his chest, ignoring the staringwhispersannoyingness behind their backs --he was going to kill them-- and just took his time trying to read the menu through the noise and the steady headacheannoyingness.

"I'm just going to get some.." A quick scan of the menu again, dark eyes flashing past the smudgy lines of the chalked handwriting. "..Lasagna." Because even though he didn't like his family, he maybesometimeskindof missed the food, and really, the food here wasn't that bad either. Not as good as restaurants and suchlike, but good enough. It didn't taste like it's been squeezed to death and revived from being frozen inside the freezer, at least.

Ah. That's right. Elis didn't know where he had to go...

But Chou hadn't known where he had to go when he had gotten here, and he had found Yamagawa-sama, so it had all worked out. After a bit of wandering and sulking and glittering and just general not-knowingness. And it had all turned out fine.

Which meant...

"We could waaaander," he sang happily, swinging their joined hands. Because wandering and not-knowing led to being found and knowing. So it would all be good in the end and it would work out and just stop being not good on a general level.

Because even though they weren't lost and there was happyhappyglitterness everywhere, it was still a little creepy being in a place like this with just...just not good everywhere and he liked being with Elis and Yamagawa-sama and Kiba-san because...because they were good and not not good like the general placeness was. So if he stayed with the good people and not the badness it would be fine only he didn't...

He didn't want to stay to long out in the hall like this.

Because the halls had general creepyness in them too. And general creeyness was baad.

He grinned brightly at Elis. "Nenene, let's go find your room, haihaihai?" Which brought up another point that Chou didn't have a room. Where would Chou go at night? He didn't have anywhere anymore. So what was he supposed to do? He couldn't...he didn't want to force himself on anyone, but he idn't have a room, so was he going to have to sleep in someone else's room and be a burden? His face fell slightly at the thought, before brightening right back up again. "Let's go look for Elis' room!"

It was a bit of a question: did they not want to be around Zix because he was a necromancer, a morgue keeper, or both?

Because they were doing that thing, where they were watching him and whispering, but looked away when Zix glanced over at them. And that move was only used on people who didn't want to be caught staring because they knew it wasn't possibly the best thing in the world to be caught doing. Really, though, why were they staring? Surely it wasn't that interesting to see him out of his office and in the presence of living normal --as normal as this place had-- people.

Maybe it was just weird to some of the older doctorpeople to see him. He suspected that the morgue keepers didn't socialize a lot. Not to many invites and all that.

And why were those ladies over there blushing and tittering behind their hands like that?

He gave a charming, puzzled sort of smile, blinking confusedly when they burst into more titters, and just turned back to Tea, just in time to catch the assisstant rub his eye with his palm, the flickerflashannoyedness gone quickly enough that he didn't bother dwelling over it.

"Hmm..." What the hell was a lasagna? Animal, vegetable, or mineral? Somehow, Zix refrained from asking, just muttered a bright, "I'll have that too," because he got the feeling that Tea probably wouldn't appreciate playing twenty questions in the middle of a busy cafeteria while he looked like he had a headache --eye press, that was headache, right?-- and waiting for his food. No, twenty questions would just not be good.

Humming slightly, he reached into his pocket, shuffling a bit before pulling out a bottle of aspirin and holding it out. "You want?" He'd found them earlier in the day --on the floor-- and had just shoved them in his pocket without thinking about it. They were probably a little stale and old and dusty, but they weren't prescription, so it'd be okay for Tea to use them if he wanted to.

Wander?

Wandering was fun. If you knew what to do and if you liked stumbling into new interesting new stuff on the way to wandering and it you wandered you could find good new things and Elis had, like.. like Chou because he found Chou --it was more like Chou found Elis, but as said before, he didn't like being technical-- and.. and finding Chou was good because he was all shinyglitterygoodness and.. and it was good if it was shinyglittery, and.. and so Chou was good.

Even though there had been some ba--not good stuff around too.

Which was why Elis was stuck here in Metamorphoses.

"Ne, we could!" Elis shook his head quickly before the coldcreepyness got too close too much and chirped, dark locks of hair flying around his face and-- ooh, it had glitter inon them too. It made it all shiny and.. and shinyglittery and it looked coooool because his hair had never been shiny, only dark and black and weeeird and not pinkyshinypretty like Chou's at all. But now now it had glitter too and it shimmersparkled and it was good! "It's not really fun out here not knowing where to go.." And it could be kind of baaaaad.. was his silent afterthought.
Silent, late afterthought.

Because now there was someone else and it was baaaaad.

"What're you doing here?"

The faerie nodded brightly. Wandering was good if it wasn't all alone, and finding new stuff could be fun and Chou wouldn't be alone because there was Elis there and besides, not knowing in the creepy hallway just wasn't good and not good was baaad. So it would be better if they found out what they needed to know and moved out of the creepy hallness. They should g--

"What're you doing here?"

Chou stiffened at the unexpected voice, something tingling and telling him that he didn't want to turn around and look if he didn't want to go away from Elis. There was just...just somthing not good in the voice --a doctor voice, it had that same authority ring that Yamagawa-sama and Kiba-san had-- kind of exactly not like Elis or Yamagawa-sama or Kiba-san voice. Just...just a not good voice.

And...and not good was not wanted. Not good was baaad.

His grip on Elis' hands tightened somewhat, eyes flickerflashing winered, but he merely closed his eyes and forced that part down. He couldn't, not here, he'd promised himself he wouldn't let Dark Chou out. Because Dark Chou had broken Yamagawa-sama and that had been more than baaaad and Chou didn't like being bad because bad wasn't good and Chou liked being good.

But..but what if this doctorperson thought he was being bad?

Because...Yamagawa-sama hadn't known who he was, and he had been good coming here on Master-sama's orders, that had been good. Only Yamagawa-sama hadn't known he was supposed to be here, and...and so this doctorperson probably wouldn't know that Chou was supposed to be here and what if he took Chou away?

Chou...Chou didn't want to go away from Elis...

Seriously. The way they were whisperingstaringgiggling --another reason that he hated women-- and all other carring-ons behind their backs. You would think they hadn't seen a necromancer eat out in a public place at all.

But..--a glancething at the necromancer-- But the way Zix spoketalkedbehavedskipped and the way that he just oozed the annoying brightaurawavelengthness that Tea hated, it maybe wasn't too complicated a question to answer.

Tea glanced at the other male out of the corner of his eyes as he tilted his head to look at the drinks section, blinking slightly when the writings wavered a little faintly before refocusing again. "...." The tanned assistant refused to finch as another throbwhateverannoyingthing --stupid physical bodily functions-- sparked behind his head. His vision was getting blurry. Not a good sign.

So you'd have to just forgive Tea when he shot a particularly venomous glare at the group of women tittering before turning his glanceglarething at the necromancer.

It wasn't for anything else other than just irritation. Really.

Besides, that hmm thing just screamed out 'I-don't-quite-know-what-it-is-but-I'll-eat-it'. Tea got that often. Sometimes. Maybe. It came with being an Italian, he guessed. Damn Italian and stupid long names. But Lasagna wasn't long..

I'm not thinking straight, the tanned male briefly thought to himself, a hand almost rising up to press against his temple but stiffly stopping himself in time; it just won't do to let Zix notice this. Could be.. more.. more leverage.. His eyes fell on the bottle of aspirin, his gaze slowly traveling up from the bottle to the othe'rs arm up his shoulder and refocusing back on the necromancer's face. "...." Too late.

You know, now that he thought about it, there was a high probability that he'd eaten lasagna stuff somewhere else. When you're too hungry to think straight, you don't really ask what it's called when people put food in front of you. So...he'd probably recognize it when he got it. Maybe. If he'd ever had it before, of course. Kind of hard to recognize something you've never eaten.

Briefly, the tittering stopped at the deadly sort of glare Tea shot the women, but Zix was used to those types of glares and ignored all unspoken implications.

Zix just let of another puzzled charming sort of smile, pushing the little bottle towards Tea. "You can have it..." And pointedly ignoring the tittering; god were women always like this? He didn't quite remember such an annoyance rising in his throat when they were in be-- ...other places. and honestly, Tea didn't have to glare like that at the annoying girls. It wasn't like he was jealous or something.

Hmm...Tea...jealos...?

Could be fun.

A slight --slightslightslight-- twitch of his lips was the only indication of the leersmirk that was threatening to slip out. Maybe leering like a madman wasn't such a good idea in a cafeteria --with food-- but there was just something so appealing about the idea of Tea being jealous over...over women. Hah, like Zix could ever seriously like women. Nono, it would have to be a man if he wanted to seriously like them. Men were so much fun to tease.

He shot another glance over at the women, before looking back over at Tea, the leergrinsmirk just threatening to overflow and slip out. "Are you jealous?" That would totally explain the deadly glaring. Although it was just as likely that Tea would blame it on the headache, and probably would deny it anyway. Because even if Tea did like Zix even the tiniest bit, would be really be the sort to admit it?
PostPosted: Thu Nov 16, 2006 2:15 am

Tea blinked.

You know, if you actually thought about it, Zix actually wasn't that bad looking. He had nice eyes, for example. Tea didn't really hadn't really liked dark eyes --alwaysalways blazingbrightdarkbrightlightgreenemeraldNO-- but.. but there was something something really interestingintriguing about the dark murky sort of depths of the necromancer's, the colours samesimilarly dark as Tea's own but something different, something..

The tanned male's eyes flickeredflicked again somewhat unreadably as the dark depths met Zix's once more, handfingers twitchingwavering slightly in its hold crossed over his chest, gaze flickering between the bottle of --delightfulawesomesaviour!-- aspirin and the necromancer's face, and therewassomethingsomething there..

"Are you jealous?"

Tea blinked.

Actually, it was more like a surprised taken aback 'what-the-hell' staringogling thing that was way too much open way way way too.. too much leverage too much hold yet again and Tea knew the surprisething showed on his face and he knew that Zix would know as soon as he himself had noticed he was surprised --Tea was never surprised, never-- and he hated it.

"I am not," he hissed, shooting another fiercedarkglare at the group of women behind which didn't stop but swerved straight upinto the other's eyes and he really wished he could just slicestabwhatever Zix with laserbeamdaggerssomethinganything and he wasn't jealous it was his headache and the aspirin and their high-pitched annoyinggiggletittering and now Zix was annoying him too and it was all just so sosososvery too annoying..!

And Zix was leering. Or grinning. Or smirking. Whatever Tea didn't care because it was the samesamething making him feel flusteredannoyedangry and it was annoyingsomethinggleaming and oh god.

He was so going to kill him.

Ah. He wasn't.

Zix just pursed his lips, muttering a non-cmmital "Mm-hmm," that said he really didn't believe Tea's vehement denial. Oh, he did --it was just as he suspected-- but seeing Tea get so..so angryannoyeddarkglare at the mere idea was just too fun! Honestly, watched the dark flashy hateanger just sort of build up in those prettypretty dark eyes was fun.

It made Zix wonder how far he could push before Tea just lost all composure and bit his head off.

Because just by looking, you could tell Tea wasn't the type to lose his cool very easily. In which case, Zix should attempt to snap Tea's cool someplace without many people, just so he didn't totally trash the assisstant's carefully calm image. If, of course, Tea stuck with him that long. For all he knew, Tea might get so fed up over lunchdinnerfood that he could just ditch Zix, no matter what he said earlier.

Which wouldn't exactly be surprising... Zix had known people much less stiff than Tea who couldn't stand five minute in his presence.

And it had been, what, half an hour? Maybe more? Zix wasn't too great at estimating time.

Humming slightly, he leaned forward on his toes, completely disregarding the whole 'too-close-don't-even-think-about-it' aura, and carefully balanced the little bottle on top of Tea's head, nesting it neatly in the pretty dark hair. Then he giggled, spinning back a few steps. Not really like he could get any further away, considering this was a room packed with people, and not a barren hallway. And bumping into someone while getting away from someone else was just so unelegant.

And while he would admit there was a definate twinge at the knowledge that Tea wasn't jealous --was he expecting any different?-- he forced it down, glancing happily up at the board with all the unfamiliar foods listed. Tea wasn't and would never like him, so he should just...try and stop liking Tea. Because unrequited liking --not even love, just liking-- hurt like hell.

Better to kill anything before it could turn into an unrequited love.

Would someone please make those women stop tittering like that?
PostPosted: Thu Nov 16, 2006 12:57 pm

His mother always used to tell him he got his temper from her side of the family.

And right now, with visions of blood, gore and very, very vivid images of various methods of death for a certain, grinningannoyingsomething necromancer in front of him flashing through his head behind his eyes along with the steady pounding of the headache, Tea almost almost believed her words. Hey, she said she had once beaten a burglar to death with a frying pan, so why not? That would work equally as well as a really very heavy book. Or a club..

Whatever. Anything would do. Tea wasn't that picky.

He just had to make sure that he didn't lose his cool now and kill the necromancer right away. No, there were just too many possible witnesses here for that. Tea would.. Tea would make sure that they were in someplace quieter. Alone. With not so many of other people --stupidgigglingwhateverthing-- around so he could take his time doing wicked wicked things to Z--

Wait.

That wasn't right.

Really not right. What the hell was he thinking? It was the headache; making him think strangeweirdwords-- he had meant to put in evil or bad or.. or just anything because all of those sounded so very suggestive and he wasn't suggesting anything..!

The tanned assistant blinked, a hand flying up to his head just in time to catch the bottle of aspirin about to wobbletumble down from where it was perched on the top of his head, mind frantically trying to ignore the previous thoughts and concentrating heartily on just suppressing down banishing the stupidstupidstupid blushthingwhatever --Whywhywhywhywhy?!-- threatening to rise up on his face and neck.

"Y--" The words were sortofhalfway out of his mouth before he clamped it shut angrily, his grip tightening ever-so-slightly on the bottle in his hand. Really. He wasn't thinking anything of the sort about.. about Zix. He was annoying, and.. and annoying and the grinthingwhatever was annoying too and it was bad and awkward and.. and the grinleer was annoying so.. so Tea shouldn'twasn't thinking anything like that.

Wasn't.

Stupid headache.

User ImageSui blushed as he felt the other kissed his neck after nuzzling his soft skin but stayed still as he enjoyed his lover’s touches and licks. The slow thumps of slight dread vanished as he listened to the other’s feelings and what the other thought of their children. Instead, the slow thumps of heartbeats sped up as the other sucked on his neck and placed his strong hands on his hips.

“F-felix…!” Sui whispered, moaning a little as he blushed and placed his hands on the hybrid’s chest. “N-not in front of the kids…”

"Shhh, it's alright they're asleep, and I havn't held you like this in awhile," the hybrid replied as his lips continued to lick on that soft neck which he knew all too well. "Mmm..I'll let you get back to your sewing," Felix said with a soft chuckle. Getting up, he laid back down besides the sleeping infants, smiling down at them.

This was right. It just felt right, right and good and a little strange but not necessarily in a bad sort of strange. Just a…a sort of tingleforeignodd warmth somewhere inside of him and normally that would have worried him because he wasn’t supposed to feel warmer than usual. But he wasn’t worried this time because it felt right to feel warm. Somehow it felt okay.

Zanis didn’t say anything as Butter’s fingers brushed across his scales --that, too, was a strange feeling; no one had ever touched them before-- just tilted his head to the side slightly. He almost expected Butter to pull his hand back when he felt his scales recede completely, but to his surprise it didn’t happen immediately, the colddeadpale fingers feeling chilled against his skin. And it was a bit curious how Butter could stand being burned like this --his handlips were flared angrybrightred-- but if Butter wasn’t pulling away because of it then Zanis wasn’t going to worry about it or get too curious about it.

Because if Butter wasn’t pulling away then it wasn’t important.

“Yours.”

”That’s right,” Zanis murmured, fingers streaming easily through the zombie’s hair. His grip tightened marginally on Butter’s hand, thumb running gently across the trembling knuckles in a vaguely reassuring move he didn’t recognize. “Mine. And no one will take you away from me.”

Zanis wouldn’t let them.

After all, if they sent Butter here to Zanis, they didn’t want him anymore. And if they didn’t want him, they had no excuse to try and take Butter away from Zanis. He highly doubted they would try; people didn’t cross the Death Doctor. It simply wasn’t done. But somehow, saying it --and leaving the definite unspoken implied threat lingering in the air-- made it more real.

“Special,” Zanis repeated softly, knowing Butter heardwashearing it because they were suddenly so close touching faces touching and Butter’s ear was right there and-- “Very special. Unique. And that’s very good.” Yes, unique and special were good. They were perfect, Butter was perfect. Because Butter was halfrighthalfwrong, halfyeshalfno and there was no one else quite like him in the world, so there was nothing else he could be except special. And pity the fools who thought special was a bad thing to be destroyed, because they had another think coming when Zanis found out exactly who had petitioned Butter be brought here. And it would not be pleasant for them. Because preciouspsecialunique things should never be destroyed, and Butter was the most preciouspsecialestperfectestuniquest of them all.

Absently, he shifted slightly, running his tongue along the edge of Butter’s ear. Because it was pale and cold and it was just there and besides, Butter’s skin looked so pretty flaringbrightangryharshred, even if the touches were gentle, and it was just pretty so it was his job to make Butter flare up bright like that, right? Because there was no one else around who was warm enough to do it.

And if Butter still hadn’t pulled away because of the flarebrightharsh streaks his touch left, then it was okay to keep touching him, right?

No one.

The zombie's hand tightened reflexiblyslightly as Zanis' griphold on it closed in, the paleblank eyes flickering oh-so-very slightly at the fiery sensation and watching the redbrightness flaring up on the skin. It kindofmaybe felt bad, but it wasn't badbad sort of pain. It almost.. It almost felt nice, even. Nice in the burningfierywarmthspark, nice in the droppingburning ripple across the deadcoldcalm lakepool deep deep inside him and.. and it was new and Butter didn't hate it. Wasn't quite sure if not hating counted as.. as liking, because he had never liked anyoneanything before had never felt this sort of strangeweird pain before and so Butter wasn't sure if it was liking the painnotpainness but.. but he didn't hate it.

And no one.. No one had everwanted him before.

The words, the softwhisperedmurmured words against his faceear coming out in a hotwarmbreath slightstinging but Butter didn't mind because the words were somehow echoingcomfortingsettling down inside him but covering the darkdarklake and not sinking not.. not disappearing like everythinganything else had, just.. just it was all of it was everything was 'Mine', mine and yours and forever and ever and nothing no one would take Butter away because Zanis wouldn't let them and Butter was Zanis' and no one else's never never ever.

Butter was Zanis'.

Because no one ever wanted him. They maybesortof wanted him before but not like this, not like this not like Zanis not like.. because he was useful because he was dead so he couldn’t die a second time so that they could do whatever they wanted on him and he wouldn't die and he couldn't die couldn't feel couldn't think couldn't..

And.. and itthey waswere definitely not like Zanis not like him nothing like him because he said Butter was specialuniquespecial and Zanis wanted him mineyours and Zanis didn't think he was useless, didn't think he wasn't needed wasn't defective wasn't.. they no one werewas at all like what Zanis was what Zanis was doingbeing right now.

Ignoring the briefsparkpain stirring in his eyesfacebodyfingertips as he drew closer to the doctor, Butter twined his fingers further into the dark darksmoothsilken locks --darkdarksoprettysomuchprettinesssomuch-- and let the tips of his fingersknuckles brush slightlylightly against Zanis' scalp, a soft coolcoldwhitedead breath escaping from between the lips and stirring one of the locks at the feel on his ear--sudden and new and hotwarmheatfireredness but not altogether unpleasant in the wetheatwarmth, tinglyburningdifferent like all of Zanis' touches all of iteverythinganything and it was good.

It was good and it was different and Zanis wanted Butter.

His eyes closed slightly, dark pinprick pupils staring sightlesslyhazily somewhere beyond the other's head. His hands tightened their grip slightly. "You are different."

"I'll...it'll be fine."

It wouldn’t be fine, it wouldn't.

Yamagawa could see it, could see it in the yellowgoldenpretty eyes, could see it in the way how Kiba dropped his head, could see it in the way he shivered in the redhead's arms he could see it right now in the sadwaterybad smile that the other doctor gave him and it was bad because Kiba should never smile like that, should never smile like that like.. like he was scaredsadfrightened and he didn't want it but he had to let it happen.

And Yamagawa didn't like Kiba smiling like that. He wanted Kiba to smile good smiles and not watery not teary and definitely not if Kiba was going to cry because Yamagawa couldn't let Kiba cry and.. and it was all his fault..!

It was all his fault.

It was his fault that he had just let Chou-chan go it was his fault that he didn'tcouldn't keep his promise he wouldn't leave Chou-chan alone but now he had because it was all just too hard so hard to concentratethinkfeelresponsible keeping promises ifwhen the voices otherpeopleselfhimself were.. were they were being badstrangeweird and it was so hard so many differentthoughtfeelings and Kiba was going to go and he was going away too so it was all so veryvery hard and.. and now he had lost Chou-chan.

So.. "--Hai." Yamagawa swallowed thickly, hands slackeningloosening their hold on Kiba and pulling back slightly, green eyes shadowedhoodedunreadable notwantingwanting he had to keep his promise so.. so he should go. He should go and get Chou-chan bring him back away from the otherpeopleotherbaddarkness because Yamagawa knew, he knew how baddarkscary it was because he had been one too before solongago nottoolongago and --sharpstingingpainneckscarache-- it had been bad.

Yamagawa hesitated, and in three quick strides he was back across the room at Kiba, his arms around the other doctor's slenderwarmnice form fingershands finding the other's facehair tangling in the greensoftlong locks of hair lips pressing down hardsoftdesperatepromiseneedingwanting-- The redhead pulled back slightly, lips still burningburned with the tinglyfeel of Kiba's and breath playing across the othe'rs facelips green eyes meeting yellow and swimmingflickering with something but his voice was certain. "I'll come back. I promise."

And then he was gone, hands clenched by his side to stop him going back throwing open the door and never leaving Kiba never never again --but he couldn't go back had to find Chou-chanfirsthadto-- teeth gritted tighttightly and steps fast, almost running, because he had to find Chou fast and he'll come back to Kiba.

And he never broke his promises. Never.

User ImageSui blushed and pushed away slightly nevertheless as the other nuzzled his neck softly and necked it. “F-felix… s-still… they might wake… mm…” he whispered. The pink hue deepened slightly as the other chuckled before he laid back next to their children. Smiling, Sui continued to sew small little clothes for Furi and Myuka.

After a few minutes, the cloth the mama mermaid found turned into two mini gowns for the babies to wear.

It was a dark cream white that bunched together slightly at the bottom. When worn, it would fall near the knees. It was very cute even though it was simple and plain. Smiling, Sui spread them out on the big bed and leaned over to pick up Fuji and Myuca in his arms. He started for the bath that he rarely went but looked back at Felix.

“Want to give them a bath with me, Felix?” Sui whispered with a small smile as he looked at not only the babies with affection and love but also their Papa. “I-I would really… l-like that…”

This was really something, mostly for Sui. Who would have ever thought the fragile mermaid would turn out to be like this. Before and right after his scientist passed away, he was always so quiet and would not speak at all. The most would be short and could barely be heard. He would rarely interact with others and would never smile. He didn’t even know how to smile or would ever ask for anything but stay completely passive. But now, with Felix, he would give his smiles, that use to be as rare as a blue rose in winter, freely and would even shyly kiss the other’s lips. He even spoke more, though still whisper, but that was enough.
